Chapter 41: Isaac v. Shining Armor- Round 3

To say that the stakes just got higher was an understatement. Everybody, even the adults, were silent as they were taking in the participants selected for the duel. This match and the event just got a whole lot more interesting; nobody was expecting this to happen so soon, but they were glad that they didn't have to wait too long. Shining Armor stood up from his side of field and then started to walk before he felt someone grab his arm.

"Brother, please." Twilight said.

"It's alright, Twily. I'll be fine." Shining Armor did his best to calm his little sister's worries.

"It's just that... Isaac is a formidable opponent and from what I can see, it's like he's got some hidden power. I don't know what it is, but I know it can't be good. I just don't want anything to happen to you."

"What have I told you? It's my job to worry about you; and I don't care if he does have some magical powers or not. In a duel it's all about skills and the cards you play. Besides, if he wants a fight then I'll glad give him a fight. Let's just hope that he can still duel after I'm done with him." Shining Armor then broke free from Twilight's grip as he walked to the field.

"Please be safe." said Twilight in a soft voice before sitting back on the bench.

Isaac saw Shining Armor walking to the field and he prepared to do the same before Sunset grabbed Isaac's hand. He turned to see that she had a look of concern as she was afraid of what was about to go down. Isaac just simply gave her smile and thumbs up. Sunset knew from that alone that Isaac was going to be okay. With that she let go of his hand and he adjusted his cap as he started to make his way.

Isaac then finally made his way to the field as he stared Shining Armor dead in the eyes. Not once did their attention move as these two mighty bulls were about to lock horns. Silence. Nothing but silence, the roar of the crowd was fading and it defean so that the only thing that could be hear was the sweat pouring down the side of their face. Isaac's Dark Magician then appeared next to his master as he too felt like they were going to be in for a tough time. Isaac looked at Mahad and they nodded their heads in agreeance.

"So we're finally here? It didn't take that long."

"Guess we were both getting impatient."

"It's cute that you're still trying to fight; to be honest, you're the only obstacle that's standing in our way from securing our victory. So once I beat and get rid of you, it'll be smooth sailing for the rest." Shining Armor then activated his duel disk.

"Well, hope you guys are planning to be here for awhile. Cause I'm not going to lose; in fact, this is going to be the start of CHS' comeback." Isaac then activated his duel disk as they waited for the signal to start.

Candace then grabbed the microphone. "If everybody is ready, then let the match.... begin!!!"

"Opponent detected. Streaming data. Duel mode set. Initiating. Commencing duel." said the voice of their duel disks.

"Let's duel!" they both shouted.

Shining Armor's Life Points: 8000-

Isaac's Life Points: 8000-

Turn 1: Isaac

"Time to get things back on track, draw." Isaac drew his card and looked at his hand before. "To start I'll summon a monster in defense mode. Then I'll place a card facedown and end my turn."

Turn 2: Shining Armor

"That's all? I was hope for some groundbreaking play; oh well." Shining Armor drew his card and had a huge smile on his face. "Time to show you some real power. I'll start by playing my Assault Wyvern(1800/1000). Now time to see what you're hiding, go my dragon slice and dice that facedown of his." Assault Wyvern then flew high up and then attacked Isaac's monster that was facedown.

"Thanks because you just activated my trap, or should I say 'monster'." Isaac's monster then flipped up. "The monster you just attacked was none other than my Marshmallon(300/500). Now since you attacked him while he was facedown, you take a 1000 points of damage. In addition, he can't be destroyed in battle."
Shining Armor's Life Points: 7000-

"Not bad. I'll just end my turn then."

Turn 3: Isaac

"Back to me." Isaac then drew his card. "I'll play the spell Graceful Charity, now I'll pick up 3 more cards and discard 2." Isaac then thought carefully about which cards he wanted to send. "Next I'll play Magician's Rod in defense mode, now I can add 1 spell/trap that 'Dark Magician' related." Isaac then looked through his deck to see which card he wanted, once he figured that out he then touched his screen and it ejected for him to grab. "I'll then play the spell I got which is Dark Magic Circle, now I can look at the top 3 cards of my deck and reveal 'Dark Magician' or a 'Dark Magician' related spell/trap."

"Isaac really is doing a lot of searching for his turn." said Dash.

"What else would you expect; he's in there with the best duelist of Crystal Prep. Of course he's taking every precaution he can since he doesn't know what deck Shining Armor has. Plus I get the feeling that he's hoping to get something." said Sunset as she looked on.

Isaac was currently looking at his screen seeing his options. It didn't take long as he picked the one he wanted. "I choose to add and reveal my ultimate monster Dark Magician. With that I'll set another card facedown and end my turn."

Turn 4: Shining Armor

"You spent all that time searching for your ace and you managed to get it. Not bad." Shining Armor then drew his card and when he looked at it, he had a huge smile on his face. "Well then, it's a good thing you got him. Because I'm about to play a creature that is also a legendary card and is even more well known than your magician. Now I'll play the spell Cost Down, so by sending a card to the grave. I can lower all the levels of my monsters in my hand by 2. Now I'll sacrifice my Assault Wyvern and play my favorite dragon. Bear witness to greatness as I call upon the mighty Blue-Eyes White Dragon(3000/2500)!"

At that moment, Isaac was in a state of shock as he heard Shining Armor's statement. "No. No! Anything but that!"

Out on Shining's field came a dragon that was huge as it was covered from head to toe in the color white and as its name suggest it had blue eyes. It led out a mighty roar that shook the entire field as everybody covered their ears to avoid being deaf. Once it died down, everybody got a look at Shining's top monster and they were amazed to say the least. Like the Dark Magician, they had only heard tales of such a card existing and even fewer people had a chance to see it in battle. Now that they knew the number #1 duelist at CPA had this card, every single one of the Shadowbolts began to sweat as they were praying that they wouldn't have to face that anytime soon.

Twilight just had a plain look on her face. She knew her brother liked to show off his special monster; it was one of the many reasons why she found it annoying whenever he would play it, almost everybody would focus their attention on the dragon rather than the duel. Not to mention that she had plenty of unpretty memories of facing this monster against her brother growing up. However the real story was with Isaac as for the first time in his life, he felt fear. The monster looked him dead in the face as it let out an intimidating roar; Blue-Eyes caught a whiff of Isaac's scent and its eyes turned furious as it recognized the smell of the duelist and sensed who his allegiance was to.

Shining Armor saw that Isaac was scared stiff as he looked at his mighty beast. "Scared? Well then about having a first hand experience of its awesome power." Blue-Eyes then powered up as it opened its mouth and revealed its jaws. "Now Blue-Eyes attack with White Lightning!" Blue-Eyes then shot a powerful beam of pure white lighting at it took out Isaac's Magician Rod.

Even though his monster was in defense mode, the force of the attack caused him to snap out of his trance and put his arm up to protect his face/eyes as the attack collided him and he did his best to stop from moving. Eventually it died down as Isaac stood there for a second before falling to a knee.

"Too much to handle? Well there's plenty more to come; we're just getting started. I'll end my turn with a facedown."

Turn 5: Isaac

Isaac was still on his knee when Shining Armor ended his turn. The girls were all concerned about their captain as not only was he scared just a few moments ago, but the fact that he took an attack from a powerful beast and it had no problem dropping him to a knee. Celestia, Luna, and even Cadance were showing concern for Isaac as he had barely managed to stand up from Shining's monster. Sombra had an evil smile as he was glad Shining Armor was already causing Isaac some trouble/pain from just a single monster. The Shadowbolts all were happy that their leader had a powerful card and was on their side as even they admitted they wouldn't last very long against a monster of that caliber.

Twilight just looked on with interest as she pulled out a small device from her skirt and began to collect data on the duel between her brother and Isaac. Growing up Twilight would constantly have to face her brother and his Blue-Eyes, so it was safe to say that it was struggle just to survive it and come up with a way to beat it. Granted it took time, but if things worked out then there would be the off case of her outsmarting her brother and winning, but 98% of the time when he used that deck he would come out the victor. Now Isaac had a card that Twilight didn't have and she was really looking forward to seeing how well it would perform.

Isaac had finally manage to get back to his feet as he snapped out of his trance. He then looked at Shining Armor who had a small smile. "I don't know how you have such a card, but this duel just got even more serious. You wanted this duel to be a spectacle, well then here goes." Isaac drew his card and then launched his plan. "First, I'll reveal my trap card Magician Navigation. Now I'll special summon my Dark Magician from my hand and then I'll summon out another level 7 or lower monster from my deck. So come on out Magician of Dark Illusion and my dear friend, Dark Magician!" Isaac's trap card then opened a vortex which out came two magicians with one of them being Isaac's star monster.

Now the stage was set as two of the most iconic cards in Duel Monsters were about to face off. A tale as old as time was being unfolded in front of everybody's eyes. Two monsters who were always locked in a never ending battle would now look to write another chapter in this historic rivalry. Mahad opened his eyes as he was summoned and the first thing he saw was none other than a foe that he's tussled with for as long as he could remember. In fact, it took just one glance at Blue-Eyes to cause Mahad to get an angry face.

"You feel it too, Mahad."

"Yes, master. I thought for sure I had put all this behind me, but it seems my greatest foe has returned to settle the score."

"I know what you're talking about; I can sense the struggle you have facing this card." Isaac then looked at his hand as he could see it trembling a bit.

Mahad saw this and was concerned about seeing his master shaking. He then tapped him on the shoulder and gave Isaac a smile full of confidence to show that they would get past this foe if they trusted each other and never gave up.

"No matter what happens, I'll always be here to protect you master." Mahad took his position with his staff in front of him as he stepped in front of Isaac to protect his owner from harm.

"Thanks Mahad." Isaac gave his magician a smile and then turned to face Shining Armor.

"You okay, buddy? You're kind of talking to yourself." said Shining Armor was concerned with who Isaac was talking with as there was nobody there.

"Don't worry about it; you should focus on what I'm about to do. Now since I summoned my Dark Magician the effect of my Dark Magic Circle activates which allows me to banish one card on the field. So say goodbye to your Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" Dark Magician then infused its spirit with the magical circle as it gave him a new power and then pointed his staff at the dragon as it was sent off the field and removed from play.

Once the light died down, Shining's mighty beast was nowhere to be seen as everybody all had their jaws hanging out. Twilight was the most impressed as she nearly dropped the device she was holding. Not only did Isaac manage to take out her brother's most powerful card, but he did so with ease.

"Now with your dragon gone, you're wide open to attack. So Dark Magician it's your turn to show off your power, attack him directly!" Dark Magician then raised its staff and shot a powerful magic attack as it hit Shining Armor directly in the chest.
Shining Armor's Life Points: 4500-

The impact of the attack actually caused Shining Armor to move a couple of inches, not too mention it also messed up his attire as he straighten out all the wrinkles it formed. He then turned back to Isaac who had a serious expression while he just had a bit of a smile. "That's the first time anybody has ever managed to actually land a hit on me in a long time. You should be proud of yourself."

"Thanks. I'll end my turn for now."

"But you're going to have to do better than that if you want to take down my Blue-Eyes." Shining Armor then touched his screen. "Now before you end your turn, I'll activate my facedown Dragon Banishment. Now if a dragon-type monster was removed from play this turn then I can summon him back, so make way for Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" Just like that Shining's great beast was back as it looked even angrier than before.

Turn 6: Shining Armor

"Now then, where were we?" Shining drew his card and smiled. "Right, my Blue-Eyes was about to wipe out your field and he can do so with this. I activate the spell Burst Stream of Destruction, now my Blue-Eyes destroys all the monsters you have."

"I'll reveal my facedown, Magician Recovery. Now I can return one spellcaster on the field to the hand until the end of the turn. So I'll return my Dark Magician back to my hand to protect him." Isaac's magician then returned back to his hand as the attack wiped out Isaac's entire field.

"Not bad, but it's not done yet. I'll play Mystical Space Typhoon and destroy your Dark Magic Circle. Now you can't banish my dragons. With that I'll set a card facedown and pass it over to you."

"Now that your turn is over, my Dark Magician returns to the field unharmed."

Turn 7: Isaac

"My turn." Isaac drew his card and then began to formulate another plan. "I'll just play 2 cards facedown and end my turn."

Turn 8: Shining Armor

"I'll play the spell White Dragon Ritual, now by sending my Blade Knight to the grave I can perform a Ritual summon." Shining Armor then sent a card to his graveyard as he activated his spell which was encased in a bright white light. "Now appear, Paladin of White(1900/1200)." Out came a different dragon as this time it had a rider as they were both encased in white armor. "Now then time to take out your monster; Blue-Eyes get rid of his Dark Magician and then my Paladin of White will attack you directly."

"If you want to destroy my magician, then you'll have to find him first. Reveal Magical Hats." Now Isaac's Dark Magician was safety hidden as there was now four hats spread out on his field. "Take your best shot!"

"I only need one, there's no way you would hide him in the same place as before. So Blue-Eyes take out the second hat from the right. White Lightning!" Blue-Eyes then unleashed incredible power as it took out a single hat; it resulted in smoke appearing and when it died down, there was nothing.

"Looks like you guessed wrong."

"Crafty, I'll just end my turn then."

Turn 9: Isaac

So far so good, I've been able to hang on and deal with Blue-Eyes. However, I can't keep hiding; if I really want to get rid of his monster, I'll need to go on the offensive. Isaac drew his card and looked at his hand. "For now, I'll place a single card facedown and end my turn."

Turn 10: Shining Armor

That's weird, why didn't he play anything? Even a monster facedown would have been something, maybe he's not as good as I thought he was. Then again, can you blame him based on what he's dealing with. Twilight was jotting down notes on a small pad as she was looking at the data from the device and the duel.

"A single facedown, that's all? All talk and no bark!" Shining drew his card and then looked at Isaac. "If you thought one Blue-Eyes was giving you trouble, lets see how you handle two more."

"Oh no!!" shouted Isaac.

"Oh yes! Now I play Lord of D.(1200/1100), now thanks to his special ability neither player can target dragons with card effects. Next I'll play the spell Flute of Summoning Dragon, with this I can summon 2 more dragons from my hand. Now everybody bow down before my trio of supreme beasts!" The flute made a sound and in two bright lights, out came two more Blue-Eyes that shook the ground as they landed and let out an thunderous roar.

If everybody was stunned before, then there was no words to describe what they were witnessing. One Blue-Eyes was enough to strike fear into the heart of someone, but to face all three, you best pray that you make it out alive. Like before the expression on Isaac's face told the whole story, he was now staring in the face of some of the most powerful dragons in Duel Monsters and it legit gave him fear.

"Now what will you do when you face all three of my dragons. Now take flight, search and destroy his magician. Blue-Eyes number 1 take out the hat on the left."

"I'll reveal my facedown, Ricochet. Now with this card I can bounce a monster on your field back to your hand and I get to add one card to my hand."

"My Lord of D. protects my dragons from card effects. So you just wasted your spell."

"Lord of D. may protect your dragons, but it doesn't protect him. That's why he's the one who I'm targeting. With him gone, I'm now free to use my card effects against your dragons."

Blue-Eyes destroyed the first hat which resulted in a puff of smoke as there was nothing under it. "Time for my second Blue-Eyes to attack the hat on the right." Like before it destroyed the hat on the right but there was nothing there, however the last single hat dispelled as Dark Magician was finally revealed. "Now you've got nowhere left to run, Blue-Eyes #3 take out his Dark Magician!"

Isaac had a smile on his face as Shining Armor called his attack. "Hold on, Shining. That last attack also triggered my trap that was hiding under my hat. Go Spellbinding Circle!" The magical object then wrapped around the third Blue-Eyes as it's attack was halted. "Thanks to my trap, not only do I stop your monster from attacking, but your Blue-Eyes also loses 700 attack points. Now he's weaker than my magician, so Dark Magician counteract!" Dark Magician then unleashed a powerful spell as it fired back at its longtime rival and it felt a bit of satisfaction doing it.
Shining Armor's Life Points: 3800-

"You're really trying your damnedest to take out my great beasts. I'll then end my turn with a card facedown."

Turn 11: Isaac

"Okay, we got through that without a scratch." Isaac then picked up his card and looked at his Dark Magician. He saw what Isaac was thinking and gave him a nod. "Now time to take things to the next level, and I'll start by playing the spell Bond Between Teacher and Student. Now since I have Dark Magician out on my field, I can now call upon his greatest student. Everybody give a warm welcome to Dark Magician Girl!" Now Isaac had his most two loyal spellcasters out on his side.

Dark Magician Girl did her signature pose/wink as she descended onto the field. The reaction was like always as all the boys lost their shit when she made her presence known. Twilight just simply rolled her eyes at how stupid all the boys were acting. Shining Armor was bit smitten by Isaac's female spellcaster that he was blushing a bit from looking at her. He gave her a small smile to which she returned a wink at him.

"I must say that your Dark Magician Girl is probably the most beautiful thing I've ever seen."

"WHAT DID YOU SAY!!!!" shouted Cadance who was able to hear what Shining Armor said despite being far away from her.

Shining Armor quickly checked himself as he didn't want to get hurt by Cadance. "Regardless, I'm afraid I must get rid of her."

"Good luck, cause my Dark Magician Girl isn't just a pretty face in fact she's also got smarts to go along with her looks."

"Thanks for the compliment, Isaac." Dark Magician Girl then gave Isaac a quick kiss on his cheek. Normally, only Isaac would be the one to see her do that. This time Mana made sure that everybody could see as she planted her lips on the side of Isaac's face. At that moment, all the cheers turned into jeers. Every boy was pissed at what they saw; they wanted to be in Isaac's position. Isaac just simply looked at her.

"Really, Mana? Out of all the times, now you choose to show everybody. Now I'm more worried about every single guy in here trying to tear me limb from limb." said Isaac as he was feel concerned about his health from all the males around him.

"Just wanted to mess with you, Isaac." said Mana as she gave him a smile.

"Mana, I told you not to embrass the young master!" Mahad now had a stern look on his face as he wasn't happy that his student made their master become an unnecessary target for all the males. "We're going to have a long talk about your behavior and mischiefs."

"It's fine, Mahad. Now then, are you two ready?" Isaac asked his magician if they were ready to fight. They simply nodded their heads as they put all their trust in Isaac. "Alright then, due to my spell, I'll set card. Now I'll equip my Dark Magician Girl with Magician Formula and raise her attack by 700 points. Next I'll play the spell Dark Burning Attack, now since I have Dark Magician Girl on my field, I can destroy all the monsters you have on the field. So Dark Magician Girl, take out his three dragons!" With that she raised her wand at the beasts and let out a cry as she shot off her most powerful spell. "With your field now empty, I'll wage an all out attack. Finish him off!"

"Not going to save you, since a a 'Blue-Eyes' monster was destroyed by a card effect and I have a Dragon-type monster in my grave, I then special summon this card." Shining Armor then held a card up as a monster appeared from out of this world. "Watch and be amazed by my Deep-Eyes White Dragon(?/?)! First, Deep-Eyes inflicts damage to you for all the dragons in my graveyard by 600. Feel their wrath!" The spirits of the dragons all looked at Isaac and unleashed powerful beams as they collided with Isaac who put his arms up. "Then Deep-Eyes gains the attack points of a Dragon in my grave. So now he has the attack points of my Blue-Eyes making him 3000." Deep-Eyes powered up as it gained some massive stats.
Isaac's Life Points: 5600-

Shining Armor's dragon had emerged as it stood in the way of Isaac's magician. "Call of your attack, Isaac! Unless you want to fall prey to my Deep-Eyes."

"I'll call off my assault. Then I'll set a card facedown."

Turn 12: Shining Armor

"Draw. I'll activate my Silver's Cry! Now I'll bring back my Blue-Eyes from the grave." Shining Armor's greatest monster was now back as it appeared and let out a cry. "Now both of my dragons have enough attack to take your magicians out." Shining Armor pointed his finger out and his dragons took flight.

"I'll activate the effect of my Electromagnetic Turtle, now by banishing him from play, I can immediately end your battle phase!" Both dragons then were met with a wall of electricity/static as it prevented them from attacking.

The crowd was making noise as they were all in on this match, they were witnessing a historic battle between two fated rivals. Both teams were watching with amazement as they saw their leaders go all out in a brutal war for dominance. Twilight was the most interested; she quickly looked back at her notes and then at the current scene in front of her. She was impressed to say the least as Isaac was managing to meet her brother move for move, despite having an underwhelming disadvantage.

"You're like your magicians; always finding someway to evade danger. Well then, I'll set 2 cards facedown and end my turn. Now lets kick things up a notch."

Turn 13: Isaac

"You want to take things to the next level, very then." Isaac looked at his field and began to form his plan. "Now I'll play the spell Second Chance, with this I bring back a monster from my grave. I revive my Magician of Dark Illusion. Then I'll perform an Xyz summon using my magician."

"How can you, you need at least two monsters to overlay?"

"My Second Chance allows my Magician of Dark Illusion to count as two monsters." A mirage of Magician of Dark Illusion appeared next to the actually one. "Now with these two monsters, I'll build the Overlay Network. I Xyz Summon Ebon High Magician in defense mode!"

All the Shadowbolts were amazed by what Isaac was doing. "He can Xyz summon!?" shouted all of them.

"I'm different from everybody else, I know all about the other summoning methods which means I got plenty of tricks left to show you'll."

"Even so, your new monster doesn't come close to taking out my Blue-Eyes or Deep-Eyes."

"Who said I was done with my turn? I'll now play my Nitro Synchron and with his arrival comes a new monster."

Isaac's friends now knew what Isaac was about to do. "He isn't!?" they all shouted.

"Now with a tuner on my field, I'll perform another summon. I tune my Nitro Synchron with Dark Magician, and when using Dark Magician as synchro material he counts as level 6 instead of 7. I Synchro Summon! Appear my Dark Sorcerer Magician!" Now Isaac had two brand new monsters on his field as all of Crystal Prep watched on with the biggest shock of their lives. They couldn't believe that someone from CHS had mastered all 3 summonings. Shining Armor and Twilight just looked at Isaac with a look of interest/surprise.

"Synchro, Xyz, and even Fusion. You know all about them; now I know why you've earned the rank of champion." Shining Armor then did something that he'd never done for his opponents, he applauded Isaac. "Well done, not many people can be willing to take the time and effort to master all three summons. It's just going to be bittersweet when I take you down."

"Don't count your chickens just yet. Now time for my Dark Sorcerer to attack your Blue-Eyes, once per turn I can cut the strength of your monster's attack by half and then he gains those points. So now unleash your Stardust Blast."

"My Fiendish Chain trap card will make your magician rendered useless."

"Guess I forgot to tell you, when Dark Sorcerer Magician is summoned he can destroy 1 spell/trap on the field. So now Fiendish Chain goes bye bye. And my attack continues." Dark Sorcerer Magician then pointed its weapon at Shining' trap and then fired a spell at Blue-Eyes which weakened it before blasting it off the field.

"Before your magician gets rid of my, I'll play my other facedown Shrink. Now I'll cut down your magician's attack in half! As a result, I won't take as much damage as before."
Shining Armor's Life Points: 3300-

"I'll just end my turn with a facedown. With that my magician's attack returns to normal."

Turn 14: Shining Armor

"You really hate dragons, don't you. But no matter how many times you get rid of them, they'll never go extinct. Observe as I activate the effect of my White Stone of Ancients from my grave. By banishing it, I can add a 'Blue-Eyes' monster from my graveyard back into my hand. Next I'll also play the spell Swing of Memories, now I can return a normal-type monster from my grave to the field, appear my second Blue-Eyes." Shining Armor picked up his first card as his duel disk slotted out for him to grab and then his second dragon appeared back on the field as it stared down Isaac and his spellcasters. "Next I'll reveal to you the Blue-Eyes that's in my hand to special summon the card I just gained, Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon!"

"Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon!?"

"That's right, while this card is on my field or in my grave, its name becomes 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'. Now time to bring out a creature that's only spoke in myths. I play Polymerization; I Fusion Summon, Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon(4500/3800)!" A vortex opened up and all 3 monsters were sucked in a blinding white light. It caused everybody to cover their eyes; when it died down there was a monster than descended from the heavens as it landed with a thud that sounded like an earthquake. It was a dragon, but not just any dragon, this had three heads attached to its body. And its stats were what really caught everybody's attention.

"4500!? Are you guys seeing this!?" shouted Dash.

"I wish I wasn't partner." said Applejack as even she was shaken by the presence of this great beast.

"That monster's attack points are off the chart. Not even a single monster of Isaac's come even close to matching that power." said Sunset as she too was in awe. Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pinkie just all held each other as they were scared that the dragon would turn its attention towards them.

"Now that one of my powerhouses has arrived, it's time to take you out. To start I'll take out your spellcasters and I'll do so with this spell Lighting Vortex. Now I'll discard one card in my hand and in return all your monsters are gone!"

A storm then appeared above the field and then in a flash, lighting came raining down as it wiped out Isaac's entire field as he was now defenseless. "Oh no! My monsters are all gone!"

"And it's about to get worse, now Blue-Eyes show Isaac your power. Go Ultimate White Lighting Attack!"

"When my Dark Sorcerer Magician was destroyed, I can revive my Dark Magician." Soon Isaac had his trusted monster on the field as he appeared in defense mode.

Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon fired a powerful beam that destroyed Dark Magician and hit Isaac square in the chest as he was thrown onto his back with such intense force. It didn't stop there as the attack was so powerful that it caused a great big breeze to form and everybody in the stands and on the sides were doing their best not to be blown away from the great big wind hitting them in the face.

"Now Deep-Eyes attack him! You still managed to survive. Your move." Shining threw a facedown as he ended his turn.
Isaac's Life Points: 2600-

Turn 15: Isaac

Once everything calmed down, Isaac had somehow managed to get up and was now on one knee as he looked at Shining and his ultimate dragon. Then Isaac put his head down as unexpectedly tears began to fall from his eyes. "My magicians, my friends. They're gone. Mahad. Mana. I'm sorry I let you down; I'm sorry I couldn't protect you guys." For the first time in his life, Isaac truly felt alone. The girls saw this and they couldn't begin to understand what Isaac must have been going through. They knew how precious those magicians were to Isaac, that he would do almost anything to keep them safe. However, this time he didn't have the means to protect them as he had to watch his most loyal companions be destroyed in front of him. They could feel Isaac's sadness as they clutched their hearts.

"Please forgive me! I can't do this without you guys; don't leave me." Isaac then used his right arm to wipe the tears that were falling from his eyes, but he still couldn't get over what was happening. It went quiet for a moment as nobody did anything as they waited to see what Isaac would do. Isaac just still had his head down; he then looked to see his duel disk and was thinking of doing something he never thought he would do. Just as Isaac was about to put his hand over his duel disk and say 'I surrender'; a presence grabbed his arm as it stopped him. Isaac looked up and saw that the person stopping him was none other than his Dark Magician. They looked at each other as they each had different expressions on their face.

"Mahad?" asked Isaac as he saw the spirit of his most loyal monster.

"Don't do it, master. We've known you long enough to know that you would never surrender a duel."

"But how can I win, I'm all alone?" said Isaac as he still had tears.

"You're not alone, Isaac." said a familiar voice.

Just then the spirit of Dark Magician Girl appeared and she gave Isaac a hug from the side. She did her best to comfort their master.

"You're here, both of you? Why?"

"It's not only us master, it's them too." Just then all the monsters in Isaac's deck appeared as they surrounded Isaac all doing their best to smile at him. Kuriboh even appeared as he brushed himself against Isaac's face to show his affection. Isaac took a moment to see all the creatures that were around him. Then all the memories/experiences that Isaac had came rushing back to him. He remembered every single thing he's been through his life; how he helped to make CHS a better place and that every student were putting all their trust in him to show Crystal Prep that they were just as good. Soon Isaac opened his eyes and looked at his monsters with new found confidence.

"Thanks everyone, I needed that. I just needed to be reminded that no matter what, I'll always have my friends by my side. Now then let's get back to winning this duel!"

All the spirits agreed as they cheered and made sounds before disappearing. Mahad and Mana were the only ones left as they gave Isaac smiles. It wasn't going to be easy but all of them knew that if they wanted to get CHS back on the winning track, then they would need to throw everything they had at defeat Shining Armor and his Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.

"Everyone is counting on us. So what do you two say, ready to go all out?"

"We're with you all the way... Isaac." said Mahad as they both disappeared with Isaac then turning his attention back to Shining Armor.

"Hope you're ready Shining Armor because the real duel is just getting started."

"If you think that just because you found some new confidence is going to help you, then you're sadly mistaken. You did everything you can to put down my Blue-Eyes, but in the end it still wasn't enough. Know why, because no matter how you look at it, a Dark Magician can never beat a Blue-Eyes! Now take your turn, so that I could finish this."

"Alright, then." Isaac drew his card. "First thing is I gained 1000 life points due to my Dark Magician Girl having been equipped with Magic Formula. Next I'll reveal my facedown, Eternal Soul, now I can bring back my Dark Magician from the grave. So welcome back, buddy." Dark Magician then came out as it had its arms crossed against its body while holding his staff in his right hand. He then looked at Isaac and gave him a heartfelt smile. "Then I'll play Thousand Knives and destroy your Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!" Thousands of daggers then appeared as they were flung towards their target.

"Don't think that it's going happen! Now I'll reveal my facedown, Magic Jammer. So I'll send a card to my grave and negate your Thousand Knives."

"Very well then, I'll then play the spell Chaos Form and with it I'll perform a ritual summon. So I'll use my Dark Magician and with it call upon a new monster, feast your eyes on Magician of Chaos(2500/2100)!" Out came a new spellcaster for everyone to see, well everyone except Twilight. "With that I'll then set a card facedown and end my turn."

Turn 16: Shining Armor

"All that and you managed to summon out a monster that doesn't even come close in terms of attack with my ultimate dragon."

"Then you should have no problem taking it down." Isaac was taunting Shining Armor.

"Your empty threats won't work on me." He then picked up his card. "Now time to end you Blue-Eyes take out his magician!"

"Now I'll activate one of my facedowns, Magic Cylinder. So now your redirected right back at your life points." A pair of magical tubes popped out as the attack was absorbed in and let out the other. The attack was heading for Shining's Life Points.

"I'll reveal my facedown Target Switch, like the name suggest I'll switch the target of your redirected attack. So Deep-Eyes becomes the one to take the hit."

"You'll still lose life points, since it's your own attack."
Shining Armor's Life Points: 1800-

"So be it, because since my Deep-Eyes was destroyed, he can wipe out your entire field, so your magician is gone as well!"

"If my magician is going down, he's also bring downing your other dragon with him. My magician's ability activates, whenever an effect kicks in, he can destroy one card on the field. So now you're Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon is also sent to the grave."

"What!?!" screamed Shining Armor.

Before it was destroyed, Magician of Chaos then fired a spell as Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon was destroyed at the same moment as Isaac's magician was destroyed. Now the entire field was empty as both duelist had no more monsters on either side. However, it was still Shining Armor's turn.

"So you actually managed to take down my ultimate dragon? You're alright. kid. However, it's still my turn and before I end it I'll play the spell Monster Reborn. Now rise from grave once more Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!"

"You know, I'm starting to get real sick and tired of that thing."

"Oh don't worry, on my next turn I'll make sure to put you down for good. Cause you're now all out of options and you have no more magicians/monsters left that can even go toe-to-toe with my great beast. Just face it, you've put a valiant effort and you have nothing to be ashamed of. I'll tell you something that I've never told any of my opponents. Thank you."

"Huh?"

"Thank you, for getting me to feel the rush and excitement of Duel Monsters. It's been too long that I've forgotten this feeling, but you've helped me to revisit that emotion and I can't thank you enough, Isaac. You're a good duelist and I can only imagine that if you had attended Crystal Prep then I might not even be the #1 duelist there. To be honest, I would have just been in your shadow and that says a lot about your skills and talents not only as a duelist but as a person."

Isaac let out a small smile. "Nice to hear that Crystal Prep's top duelist is giving me praise."

"You earn it, now then take your turn." Shining Armor then threw a single facedown as he passed it over to Isaac.

Turn 17: Isaac

"Alright, time to bring this duel to a close." This is my last chance; I've got no monsters on the field. And other than my Eternal Soul trap card, I've got no facedowns. In order to win and get CHS back on the right track, I'll need to summon out a monster that can compete with Shining Armor's Ultimate Dragon. The question is can I draw the card I need. Well time to find out. Isaac put his hand over his deck as he was about to take his turn. "Here goes something!" Isaac then drew his card which had a rainbow light that followed behind it with small particles as an aftereffect. It had a rainbow colored scheme when he glanced at it, he then saw all the pieces align as he was about to take down that giant behemoth. "You said that I don't have a single magician that can take down your Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon? Well, you're right; but you're also wrong."

"What are you planning?"

"So glad you asked; I'll show you. First I'll activate the Card of Sanctity, now we each draw till we're holding 6 cards in out hand." Both duelist drew till their hands were full. "Now I'll play the effect of Eternal Soul and revive my Dark Magician from the grave." Dark Magician rose up for the final time as it appeared on Isaac's field.

Shining Armor just had a look of disbelief. "Well I understand making a final stand with your favorite monster; you should know that he doesn't come close to range of my dragon."

"That's why he's not going to take down your monster, at least not by himself."

"Then what the hell are you talking about? You're not making any sense!" screamed Shining Armor.

"I'll show you, and it starts with this spell card called Magicians Rollcall." A bright light then began to appeared as Isaac held his card up high.

"What's going on?" Shining Armor was trying to protect his eyes from being blind.

"This card allows me to add up to 5 different magicians from my deck and/or graveyard to my hand with selecting two of them to play on my field. So from my grave, I'll take Dark Magician Girl and Magician of Dark Illusion; and from my deck I'll take another Magician of Dark Illusion and Dark Magician of Chaos." Soon all four cards slotted out for Isaac to grab. "As for which ones I'll summon, I choose my Dark Magician of Chaos and Dark Magician Girl." Isaac then slotted his two new spellcasters as they appeared on his field.

"This is just a waste of time. Like I said before none of the monsters on your field stand a chance against my beast. He could wipe them all out with one attack. Looks the pressure really got to if you're making such rookie mistakes."

"I'm no rookie and I don't make mistakes, either. Sure these magicians alone can't do much, but together they've got a power like no other. Now watch and be amazed as I play Polymerization! And with it I'll fuse together my Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, Dark Magician of Chaos, along with the 2 Magician of Dark Illusion in my hand." All cards then shot up into a vortex that appeared in the sky as their powers were being fused together to create a brand new wizard. Isaac was starting to have the same aura that encompassed him when he was facing Sunset at the Fall Formal. "I Fusion Summon, Quintet Magician(4500/4500)!" Out came a brand new monster as everybody in attendance and at home had their eyes glued to the match.

"Holy s@#t!" said Rainbow as she was beyond words at Isaac's new monster.

"Check out the stats on that monster!" Applejack had taken off her hat as she stared at the new card Isaac played.

"He could do it. Isaac can actually do it!" Sunset was now standing up and cheering for her captain as did the rest of the girls. Soon the entire school was chanting Isaac's name.

"Now my Quintet Magician will attack your Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon! Take him down, buddy!"

"Our monster's point are identical, so once they collided with each other they'll both be destroyed!"

"Not my magician! Cause from my hand I'm activate the spell Battle Fusion! Now when an attack is declared between a fusion monster of mine and my opponent's monster, then my magician gains the attack points of the monster he's battling. So since Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon has 4500 attack points and you add to the amount that magician started with his total is..."

"9000 attack points!" screamed all of the girls from both schools in unison.

Isaac smirked. “And by my math, that makes Quintet Magician just strong enough to end this duel.”

The Canterlot High students in the crowd cheered loudly. Rarity cupped her hands to her mouth. “I don’t believe it, he’s done it!”

“Yeah he has!” Rainbow laughed, throwing an arm over Applejack and Pinkie.

“No way!” Lemon Zest cried from the Shadowbolt bench. “You’ve gotta be kidding me!”

At that moment, Twilight dropped her device as she had the biggest jaw drop. She couldn't believe what she was witnessing; not only did Isaac manage to outplay her brother but he was on the verge of winning. "This can't be! He's actually going to beat my brother. He's actually going to win!" All of Crystal Prep were in a state of shock/fear as they were about to witness their top duelist be crushed by their rivals top contender.

Up above, both Celestia and Luna were on the edge of their chair as they clutched their seats. They couldn't believe what was about to happen. Cadance too was leaning a bit more forward as she was awaiting to see what would happen. Sombra just had unpleasant look on his face as he wasn't a fan of what was going on.

Shining smiled. “You’re a heck of a duelist, Isaac.”

“You too,” Isaac said. “I had to push my deck to its limit just to keep up with you.” He shook his head. “But there was no way I was gonna let my school down.”

“Same here,” Shining replied. “Which is why, even if I feel a bit bad doing this to you, I have no choice.”

Isaac’s eyes widened. “What?”

“I can’t stop myself from losing, Isaac!” Shining called. “But for the sake of my school, I can stop you from winning!” He reached to the screen of his duel disk and tapped, and the hologram of the face-down card in front of him turned over and rose up. "I activate my trap card, Final Fusion! Now when a fusion monster of mine battles a fusion monster of my opponent, I can negate the attack. Then both players take damage equal to the combined total attack points of both our monsters!"

Isaac gasped. “But....T-then… that means.”

Quintet Magician then fired its wand at Blue-Eyes as it unleashed its attack; Blue-Eyes countered by unleashing its own attack and the moment both made contact there was a huge explosion that occurred. It was enough to cause both monsters to be destroyed as both duelist were flung onto their backs. Even Isaac's cap had gone flying as the impact of that attack threw him for a loop. The force of the attack was so powerful that it generate a powerful wind that started to blow all around them as everybody there felt it.

"What the hell is up with this weather!?" said Dash as she was trying to keep herself from flying away.

"Just shut up and hang on!" screamed Sunset as they all held on to each other for dear life. The Shadowbolts were doing the same as they didn't want to get carried off by the wind.

The people in the stands were grabbing hold of their chairs as it was the only thing that was grounded, but it did move a few inches due to the wind. Even the adults were affected by the duel as they were suddenly thrown out of their chairs and onto their backs. They kept going till they made contact with the back wall as it was the only thing saving them from falling out of their private box from high above the field. After a few minutes, the wind died down as everything was complete silence.
Isaac's Life Points: 0-
Shining Armor's Life Points: 0-
Draw.

The students of both schools fell silent as the holograms flickered and deactivated. All the girls had their hair all frizzled up and for the boys, some of them had managed to wet themselves. Soon both Isaac and Shining Armor found the strength to get up as they slowly rose to their feet. They looked at each other while taking some deep breaths out of exhaustion. Then Luna who was crawling on the floor of their private box reached up as she looked for the microphone. She then leaned her upper body over the railing as she tried her best to announce the results while trying to gain her breath back.

"Students of Crystal Prep and Canterlot High.... the third duel... has ended in a tie."

Safe to say that the battle between Shining Armor and Isaac may have ended, but the war between the two schools was stilling going on. With that Isaac just gave one more stare at Shining Armor as he let out his last gasp of air. Then Isaac felt his body ache and his eyes close as he fainted onto the ground. His cards flew out of his duel disk and were scattered around him. The girls all rushed to check on him as did the medical staff that was on standby. Sunset was the first one to get there as she grabbed Isaac's head and put it in her lap as she put her hand over his forehead.

That duel was really epic for sure.
With such a explosive finished. I knew one of these duels would end in a tie given how its hinted a tie would happen.

Only a few errors I see.
Magical Navigation can't respond to Negate Attack(I already brought that up in a previous chapter so.. basically a repeat)

Deep Eyes White Dragon's effect to summon itself would have activated the moment Blue Eyes got destroyed, not waiting till Shining Armor's turn to come by.
Same thing for Dark Sorcerer Magician's revival effect for Dark Magician there.
