Chapter 200: Exam #7

"I do speak with my cards and see the spirits of my monsters," said Isaac as both of his magicians bowed down behind their master as they showed their loyalty and relationship with the young boy. "To me, they are more than allies, they are more than servants, they are more than my beck and call, they are my friends. And they are what I draw my inner strength from." Isaac then snapped his fingers as all of the monster spirits returned to their masters' decks as it was just Isaac and the students.

"Now then, the tests begin. You all signed the disclosure agreement that you will not tell each other of your results. Through that door, you'll have your final challenge. Now you all have five minutes with each of your tutors for you and them to say some final words. I'm grateful for all you've done by being part of this program. Every single thing that I've done was to push you all to the best of your ability. Know that whether you win or lose your duel, you'll all victories in my eyes." smiled Isaac as he put his hand in as the students did the same.

"Thank you, Isaac." said the students.

"Now go kick ass!!!" shouted Isaac as allowed the kids to walk through the door.

The students all walked through the door as they began to walk down the hallway. Soon they reached another set of doors as they opened it and inside were the girls as each one of them went to their tutor.

Shadow saw Pinkie as she was sitting down on a bench as pulled a cupcake out of her puffy hair. She was about to eat it when she saw the boy walking towards her. Both just stared at each other.

"What? No crazy explosion? No shock handshake, no tight hug?" asked Shadow.

"Nope," said Pinkie in a normal tone as she smiled.

"Huh? I... can't believe I'm saying this, but... I was kind of expecting it. Or something" said the boy.

"Take a seat," said Pinkie as she gesture to the spot next to her.
Shadow did as Pinkie requested as she pulled out another cupcake for the boy as he accepted it and held it with both hands.

"I'm glad to have had you as my student." smiled the party girl. "I know I may have been rough around the edges when it came to my antics, but know in my heart I had good intentions. I was just trying to make you smile, that's my life's purpose."

"Your life purposes, huh?" chuckled Shadow. "I get it, I'm still looking for mines. But I got a few years before I graduate. But if anything, I remember all the lessons you taught me and not just the dueling ones. When I told you my story, I didn't expect you to immediately care for me. Again, I thought you were crazy, you still. Hell, I don't envy Isaac for being your big brother. Surprised he has lasted this long. My point is, I am glad you requested me to be your student. If I was given the choice to pick someone new or suffer what we went through, I'd pick the latter option." stated the boy. He then took a bite of his treat as he munched and swallow it.

"So, are you nervous about your test?" asked Pinkie.

"Yes," answered Shadow honestly. "I'm scared, I talk a bit game. And I have my deck to back me up with my Raidraptors, but... even still... I'm afraid. What happens if... I fail?"

"That won't happen." smiled Pinkie as he put her arm over her student's shoulder. "You're the best student I could ask for, you'll do great. I know you will."

"How can you be sure?"

"Pinkie promise." said the girl.

"Pinkie promise, ha. Well, alright then," stated Shadow. "By the way, thanks for the gift." Shadow then unzipped his hoodie's sweater as he showed the t-shirt he was wearing that was given to him by Pinkie. "Figured I wear it for good luck."

"Thank you," said Pinkie as she wrapped her arms around the young boy and brought him in for a hug. It wasn't her usually tight hugs, but it was a warm and comforting hug, nonetheless as Shadow returned the embrace from his tutor and friend.

Soon the P.A. system went off as it served as the signal for the students to start.

"That's my cue," said Shadow as he broke the embrace from the party girl. Pinkie nodded but not before putting her hands up. Shadow just rolled his eyes as he knew what it meant.

"Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!" said both of them as they chuckled a bit before Shadow got up from the bench.

Shadow and the other students all stepped to seven different doors as each one was placed in front of them. They all looked at one another as they each gave small fist bumps as soon all seven of them entered their doors simultaneously. Each of the kids was in a black holding space as there was another door before them as there was a neon sign above it that would indicate when it was their turn. Soon one door of the set turned green as it said ready as the person slotted in their deck and opened the door.

Shadow entered the room as it was dark. He couldn't see anything in front of him but a single piece of light that belonged to a spotlight as it shined down. He made his way till he was under the light as he looked around hoping to see something, but nothing.

"The last test." said a voice.

Shadow followed the trail of the voice as he saw Isaac in the private box with the other three suits as they were all sitting down. Isaac just looked at the boy as he spoke into the microphone as he began to relay some info.

"Last and final contestant. Shadow Moonrise. Deck archetype: Raidraptors." stated Isaac. With that out of the way, the final exam was set to begin as the four of them pulled out Isaac's rubric. Isaac then pressed another button as the whole room lit up. Shadow turned his head away from the group as he saw his opponent.

"Time for a lady to show doesn't need to be physical when fighting," said Rarity. She then flipped her hair and spun around while making sure to give a wink to Shadow. She then pulled out her small rectangle device as she slid in her deck as her duel disk then activated as it projected an indigo color card tray.

"Time to see if I pass or fail," said Shadow as he pulled out his small rectangle device as he slid in his deck as his duel disk activated and projected a dark blue color card tray.

"Opponent detected. Streaming data. Duel mode set. Initiating. Commencing duel." said their duel disks.

Rarity's Life Points: 8000-
Shadow Moonrise's Life Points: 8000-

"Let's duel." said both teens

"I'll be a gentleman and let the beautiful lady go first," said Shadow.

"Such a flattery, are you?" winked Rarity as she flipped her hair once more.

Turn 1: Rarity

"Now then, I draw!" said Rarity as she smiled at her opening hand. "And I'll start by setting the Pendulum Scale with my Scale 2 Crystal Keeper and Scale 5 Crystal Master!" stated Rarity as she placed her two cards on the far end of her duel disk as the word pendulum in rainbow coloring spelled out in between them to signal it worked. Rarity's two cards then appeared in columns of light with their respective numbers in front of them.

"Wait, you have pendulum cards?" said Shadow as he was regretting being a gentleman to let Rarity go first.

"My, it's such a lovely display. Now I can summon as many of my beauty monsters from Levels 3 and 4. Make way, my precious darlings." stated Rarity as she snapped her fingers and a portal above her opened up as two lights came out. "My Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat(1200/400) and Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger(1600/1000)." Rarity's two gems appeared as they glowed brightly and shattered. A pale amethyst crystal materialized to Rarity’s right as soon out came a white cat wearing a collar with its jewel hanging inside of it. A white tiger with a horn and a collar studded with yellow gems stepped from the rubble of the other gem.

"Rarity just... pendulum summoned," said Shadow in awe.

"Darling, a lady doesn't like when she's being stared at," said Rarity as she got Shadow to break from his trance. "Now then, I'll play one card facedown and end my turn."

Turn 2: Shadow

"Then it's my turn, I draw!" stated the boy as he looked to duel like only he can. "To start, I'll summon my Raidraptor - Retrofit Lanius(800/1200). Then since I control a Raidraptor, I can special summon my Raidraptor - Fuzzy Lanius(500/1500)." Shadow now had two of his mechanic birds on the field. "And when I use Retrofit Lanius to Xyz Summon, it counts as 2 monsters. So I'll overlay my Retrofit Lanius and Fuzzy Lanius to build the Overlay Network!" Shadow's Retrofit Lanius then spilt into two as it rose with Shadow's other monster as they became orbs of light as they hovered in the air for a bit as a portal opened up in front of the boy. Soon both lights entered the portal as a pillar of light emerged. "From the shadows, the falcon soars on wings of courage, talons ready for the rebellion! I Xyz Summon! Witness the ascent of Raidraptor - Rise Falcon(100/2000, OLU:2)!!" Shadow's monster appeared as it let out a screech as it was loud with its Xyz materials circling it.

"Now to put my monster to use, I activate Rise Falcon's special ability, so by using one overlay unit my monster gains the attack points of your monsters," said Shadow.

"Not quite, darling. See a lady is always prepared. See I activate the pendulum ability of my Crystal Master, so now you can't target any of my Crystal Beasts with card effects, so your Rise Falcon won't be gaining their attack points." smiled Rarity as her Crystal Master raised his staff and used the power of the seven gems as they created some rainbow lights that surrounded Rarity's cats as they were protected by Shadow's monster.

"This isn't going to be good." said the boy as he was caught off-guard. "But since the Xyz material I removed was my Fuzzy Lanius, its effect now activates, since I sent it to the graveyard, I can add a second Fuzzy Lanius from my deck to my hand," said Shadow as his duel disk ejected his card for him to grab.

"I now end my turn with a facedown."

Turn 3: Rarity

"My turn," said the fashionista, "And I'll have my Topaz Tiger attack your Rise Falcon! And don't forget due to my tiger's effect it gains 400 extra attack points when it battles a monster," stated Rarity as her tiger then raced forward as it looked to take out Shadow's monster.

"I reveal my facedown, Adversity!" shouted Shadow. "Now my Rise Falcon can dodge the attack and it gains 1000 attack points." Rise Falcon then dodged Rarity's tiger as it flew high into the air as Topaz Tiger missed it.

"Very well, in that case, I'll activate the effect of my Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat, so now by cutting her attack points in half, I can have her attack you directly!" stated Rarity as her cat then lunged forward as she managed to pin the boy under her weight as she showed off one of her sharp claws.

"Fresh meat," growled Amethyst Cat when translated.

"Please!!" shouted Shadow as the cat then brought her claw down on his shoulder as he felt the attack and let out a painful scream.

Amethyst Cat then got off the boy as Shadow sat up and looked at his shoulder to see the mark left by Rarity's cat as soon it disappeared and the pain was gone. He shot a glare at the cat as at that moment, Amethyst Cat could sense the boy looking at her as she turned her head and growled at the boy showing her meat tearing teeth as it got the boy to be scared.
Shadow's Life Points: 7400-

"Careful, darling. Or else, I'll let my cat go wild on you. She sure has a hunger for meat." stated Rarity with a wink.

"But enough of that for now, I end my turn."

Turn 4: Shadow

"My turn, and to start I'll switch my Rise Falcon into defense mode," said Shadow since his monster's special ability won't work due to Rarity's pendulum cards. "Now even if you use your Topaz Tiger's special ability, it won't destroy my monster since they'll have the same points. Now by removing the other overlay unit from my Rise Falcon, I can be able to summon my Raider's Wing(0/2000)!" said the boy as out emerged another one of his mechanical birds as it took a defensive position.

"I'll then end my turn."

Turn 5: Rarity

"Then it's back to me, I draw," said Rarity with some pose and elegance. "I'll now play the spell card, M Force. So with this, I can now give my Topaz Tiger an extra 500 attack points. And not only that, but my spell allows my tiger to deal piercing damage. And let's not forget about my tiger's ability, it gains 400 attack points when it battles a monster so it has 2500 attack points. Sink your fangs into that falcon, Topaz Tiger! Topaz Incisor Shred!!" shouted the girl as her cat then raced forward with all of its strength as it then leaped up and took out Shadow's monster as the damage carried over to the boy as he covered up.
Shadow's Life Points: 6900-

"I'll then end my turn."

Turn 6: Shadow

"My draw and I'll summon my Raidraptor - Mimicry Lanius(1100/1900). And when I summon my Mimicry Lanius, I can increase the levels of all my Raidraptors on my field by 1," stated Shadow as both of his two monsters went up by one level. "With that done, I'll now overlay my two Level 5 Raidraptor monsters to build the Overlay Network!" Shadow's two monsters then transformed into dark orbs of light as they hovered in the air for a bit as a portal opened up in front of the boy. Soon both orbs of light entered the portal as a pillar of light emerged. "Terror of the skies! Predator of blazing force! With wings that slash and talons that tear! Rise, Raidraptor - Blaze Falcon(1000/2000, OLU: 2)!" Shadow now had another one of his power monsters as it let out a screech.

"Thanks to my Blaze Falcon it can attack you directly!" shouted Shadow as his monster then bypassed Rarity's cats as it went straight for the girl as it unleashed a powerful beam attack as Rarity sidestepped the attack as it landed next to her. She made sure to check her heels to see if she broke one, but was glad to see they were still intact as she fixed a bit of hair as it was back to its natural curly shape.

"I'll reveal my facedown, Last Resort. So now I can activate a field spell from my deck. So I activate my Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins!" stated Rarity. Soon the entire field morphed into a gladiator arena as some pillars were destroyed.
Rarity's Life Points: 7000-

"Where the hell are we?" asked Shadow as he looked around him.

"Darling, we're in Rome." giggled the marshmallow girl.

"Regardless, since my Blaze Falcon dealt your damage, I can target one monster on your field and destroy it."

"Darling, did you forget that due to my Crystal Master's pendulum ability, you can't target my monsters with card effects."

"Oh, I didn't forget. This is why I'm using its other ability, so by using one overlay unit, I can destroy all your special summoned monsters, and then deal you 500 points of damage for each one. So your two cats are now gone." smiled Shadow as his monster absorbed one of its Xyz materials as it then unleashed some smaller laser beams and fired some at Rarity's monsters as her entire side of the field produced a smokescreen. Soon it died down as Shadow was once again stunned as Rarity's monsters were still on the field.

"Darling, what kind of way is that to treat a lady? You need to make her feel special, not push her away. Take some lessons from Isaac, he knows to treat a woman." stated Rarity as she flashed a quick wink to her male companion.

"But... how the hell?!" stated Shadow.

"Let me explain, it's all due to my Crystal Keeper's pendulum ability. Each turn, the first time a 'Crystal Beast' would be destroyed by card effects, it's not." smiled the marshmallow girl.

"So... I can't do anything to your beasts?" said Shadow as the only way he could get rid of Rarity's monsters was through brute force.

"Precisely," stated Rarity.

"Now since I removed my Mimicry Lanius to activate my Blaze Falcon's ability, I can banish it from my graveyard. Then that allows me to add a 'Raidraptor' card from my deck to my hand." said Shadow as his duel disk ejected his card as he put it in the banished compartment of his duel disk as his deck then ejected the card he wanted.

"I now end my turn with a facedown."

Turn 7: Rarity

"My turn, and now I'll play my Golden Rule and equip it onto my Topaz Tiger. Now by doing that, I can take two Level 3 or lower 'Crystal Beast' monsters from my deck and then place them in my spell and trap card zone. So I choose my Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise(800/2000) and Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle(300/300)." Rarity then had two gems, one red and one green, appear in her back row. "Now the other effect of my Golden Rule is that I can summon another Crystal Beast from my hand, so I choose my Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth(1700/1600). Then since Ruby is in my back row, I can use its effect to special summon it, and then that in turn triggers the other effect of my Ruby so I can summon all of my monsters in my back row, so Emerald Tortoise is also in play." Within the rays of light appeared a small purple quadruple with large red eyes and a round red gem on its tail. It jumped down in front of Rarity and mewled. Ruby Carbuncle held up its tail and cried. The gemstone on its tail lit up red and shot beams of energy into the green gem behind it. The gem glowed brightly and shattered. From the green gem came a tortoise with green gemstones in its shell. An orange gem appeared as it shattered to reveal a large mammoth, a circular amber stone on a crest on its forehead.

"This doesn't seem good," said Shadow as he looked at Rarity's entire field as it was full of her monsters.

"Now to attack, Topaz attack Blaze Falcon. Remember it gains 400 extra attack points when it battles a monster. Topaz Incisor Shred!!" said the girl as her monster powered up. Her tiger then jumped into the air as it took out Shadow's monster dealing more damage to the boy as he covered up.
Shadow's Life Points: 5900-

"I reveal my facedown, Rank-Up-Magic Raptor's Force. Now I can bring back my Blaze Falcon and use it to Xyz summon a monster that's one rank higher!" stated Shadow as his Blaze Falcon appeared for a second as soon it transformed into an orb of light as it hovered in the air for a bit as a portal opened up in front of the boy. Soon the orb entered the portal as a pillar of light emerged. "Fiercest falcon, set your wings ablaze and lock your gaze on our ill-fated foe! Now, make it so! Go, Rank-Up Xyz Evolution! Emerge, Raidraptor - Revolution Falcon(2000/3000, OLU: 1)!!" A much larger bird now appeared as it let out a screech as Rarity had to cover her eyes for a bit as Shadow's monster made its presence known.

"Exquisite, darling." complimented Rarity. "In that case, I'll now activate the ability of my Amethyst Cat so by cutting her attack points in half, she can go straight for your life points."

"Uh-oh," said Shadow as he saw Rarity's cat as it had that look in her eye.

She growled as she began to race forward; Shadow took that as his cue to run as he tried to book it. He didn't get far as Rarity's monster managed to tackle him to the floor as he fell face first. He then turned around as he came to face to face with Rarity's cat as it growled in his face. She then used one of her sharp claws to gently trace the boy's cheek as it got Shadow to flinch a bit.

"Please!" stated the boy as he didn't like being treated like a chew toy for Rarity's monster. Soon Amethyst Cat had enough playing with her food as this time she decided to scratch the boy's face as Shadow had some claws marks on his face he sat up in pain. Soon they faded away as he shook himself off, the cat then returned to Rarity as she got a petting from her mistress.
Shadow's Life Points: 5300-

"Such a good kitty, my dear Amethyst," said Rarity as she got on her knees and petted her large cat as it was purring like a little kitten as it loved its mistress touch as she licked her face.

"Stupid cat!!!" shouted Shadow as that comment pissed off Amethyst Cat as she let out a killer growl at the boy as the next time she wasn't going to go easy on the boy.

"Darling, how dare you insult my monster with that comment!" stated Rarity as she got her cat to calm down a bit. "Now, I'll activate the ability of my Emerald Tortoise, now I can target one monster that attacked this turn and switch it into defense position, so I'll have my Amethyst Cat switch modes," stated Rarity.

"I now end my turn."

Turn 8: Shadow

"My turn, and now I'll switch my Revolution Falcon into attack mode. Then I'll activate its special ability so by using one overlay unit, my monster can attack all of yours and when it battles them, they all lose their attack and defense points," stated Shadow as his monster absorbed its Xyz material. "Now take it to her, Revolution Falcon. Blitz Bombardment!!!" shouted the boy as his monster then soared high into the air as it opened up some small hatches on its body as small bombs began to fall as the first target was Rarity's Topaz Tiger.

"I'll activate the ability of my Amber Mammoth, so now he can step in the line of fire and take the hit instead," said Rarity.

"Regardless, he still loses his attack power," said Shadow as the large mammoth was destroyed as an orange gem appeared in her back row.
Rarity's Life Points: 5000-

"Now take out Topaz Tiger!" said Shadow as his falcon took out another monster of Rarity.
Rarity's Life Points: 3000-

"Now take out the rest of them!!" yelled the boy as his falcon took out Rarity's three other monsters who were in defense mode. Soon the bombs exploded as soon three more gems appeared as they moved to Rarity's spell and trap card zone as it was full.

"I end my turn with a facedown."

Turn 9: Rarity

"My turn and I should thank you, Shadow. You've been a gentleman in helping a lady in her hour of need." flirted Rarity.

"What?" said the boy as he raised his eyebrow.

"See, I knew you would find a way to get rid of my monsters without tripping the pendulum ability of my two pendulum cards. Which is why I had my field spell set out." stated the fashionista.

"What does your field spell accomplish?" asked Shadow.

"Simple, based on the number of 'Crystal Beast' cards in my spell and trap card zone, means I can do several things. Like this one, since my back row is currently full, my field spell allows me to summon one of my gems. So I choose my Topaz Tiger!" stated the girl as her yellow gem shattered as her tiger was back in play. "Then since I have 4 'Crystal Beast' in my spell and trap card zone, I can draw an extra card. Then I'll activate Ruby's effect so that I can special summon it to the field which then allows me to summon my other Crystal Beast." said Rarity as all her other monsters appeared in defense mode, apart from her Amethyst Cat.

"Now Amethyst Cat, I'll slice your attack points in half, so that you can chew out that rat!" stated Rarity as she gave her feline its command as she was more than happy.

"No, not again!!" shouted Shadow as this time he didn't have a chance to run as Rarity's monster moved fast across the field and took the boy down with ease as she pinned him under her claws.

"You called me a stupid cat, meat bag!!" growled Rarity's cat when translated.

"I'm sorry!" stated Shadow as he was regretting insulting Rarity's feline as she was pissed. Soon he felt another pain as the cat clawed at his shoulder once more.
Shadow's Life Points: 4700-

"With that, I'll lay two cards facedown."

Turn 10: Shadow

"Then it's my turn, I draw," said Shadow as he looked at his hand and then at Rarity's field. "I'll now have my Revolution Falcon take out your Amethyst Cat!" stated Shadow as he had his monster target Rarity's cat.

"I'll activate the effect of my Amber Mammoth! So he now takes the attack instead of my Amethyst Cat" stated Rarity as her pachyderm stepped in front of its comrade as it used his trunk to counter Shadow's monster before it was destroyed and turned into particles as an orange gem appeared in Rarity's back row.

"Not good," stated Shadow as he ended his turn.

Turn 11: Rarity

"My turn, and I'll activate the ability of my Amethyst Cat." smiled Rarity with a sly smile as Shadow knew what that meant.

Amethyst Cat then growled as she raced forward and pinned Shadow down once again as she showed her teeth as the boy was scared. She then opened her mouth and lunged forward as it got the suits to be shocked by what they saw.

"Note to self, Shadow. Don't piss off Rarity's beast, especially her Amethyst Cat," said Isaac as he saw the scene with the boy and killer cat.

"Get her off of me! Get her off of me! Get her off of me!" shouted Shadow as Amethyst Cat had her whole mouth on the boy's head, but she retracted her teeth so that she could freak out the boy.
Shadow's Life Point: 4100-

"Alright, my kitty. That's enough," said Rarity as her Amethyst Cat obeyed the command by her mistress as she spitted out the boy.

Shadow was making sure they weren't any bite marks on his head, to which his head was perfectly fine as he let out a sigh. He then came face to face with the cat as he fell and tried to play dead to avoid being treated like a scratching post.

"I hate rotten meat," growled Amethyst Cat as she found Shadow to be rather expired and disgusting. She then stomped on the boy's chest as he sat up from the impact as the tail smacked him in the face.

"Stupid..." Shadow didn't bother finishing his sentence as the feline looked at him once more as he shut the hell up.

"I now activate the effect of my Emerald Tortoise, so since my Amethyst Cat attacked, I can switch it into defense mode." stated the girl as her monster switched modes.

"I end my turn."

Turn 12: Shadow

"My turn, and I'll play Raidraptor - Nest. Then I'll summon my Raidraptor - Rudder Strix(0/1600) in defense mode! And by summoning my Rudder Strix, it deals you 600 points of damage." stated Shadow as it fired a pillar of fire at Rarity.

"I reveal one of my facedown, Rainbow Life! So by discarding one card, I can negate all that damage, and instead of losing, I gain life points," said Rarity as she used Shadow's effect to boost her points.
Rarity's Life Points: 3600-

"So be it, I'll now activate the effect of my Raidraptor - Nest. Since I currently control 2 'Raidraptor' monsters, I can add one Raidraptor from my deck or graveyard to my hand. So I'll take back my first Raidraptor Fuzzy Lanius, then that means I can summon it to the field since I control a 'Raidraptor', but why stop at one, I'll summon two of them!" shouted Shadow as he had a pair of his mechanical birds.

"Now I'll overlay both of my Fuzzy Lanius to build the Overlay Network!" shouted Shadow as he had both of his monsters turn into orbs of light as they levitated into the air for a bit as a portal opened up in front of the boy. Soon both orbs of light entered the portal as a pillar of light emerged. "Avian hunter of the afterlife, seek the truth with your dark eyes, and grasp glory with your sharp talons! I Xyz Summon! Take flight! Raidraptor - Force Strix(100/2000, OLU: 2)!!" Out came a bird as it let out a screech as it soared down onto the field. "Now I activate my Force Strix's ability, by using one overlay unit that I can add a Level 4 Dark Winged Beast-type monster from my deck to my hand." Shadow then used his duel disk as he selected the one he wanted.

"Now the other effect of my Force Strix activates and it gains 500 extra attack/defense points for each other Winged Beast-type monster on the field other than itself. So now Force Strix has 3000 defense points. And that's not all, since I sent my Fuzzy Lanius to the graveyard this turn, I can use its ability to add the third one from my deck to my hand." stated Shadow as his duel disk ejected another card for him to grab as he added it to his hand.

"I now end my turn."

Turn 13: Rarity

"My draw then," said Rarity as she drew her card. What is Shadow thinking? He can't play defense forever, cause as long as my Amethyst Cat is in play, I can just keep attacking him directly till his life points are gone. So what's his plan?

I have no plan how to take out Rarity's monsters right now.

Well, if he's not going to do anything, I will.

"Now I'll play this spell card, my Crystal Release. So now I'll give my tiger some claws, as in 800 more attack points to be precise." stated the girl as her cat let out a roar. "Now, attack his Revolution Falcon! And don't forget, my tiger gains 400 more attack points when it battles a monster. Topaz Incisor Shred!!" shouted Rarity as her striped cat raced forward with all of its strength and then leaped high up into the air as it brought its fangs onto the bird.
Shadow's Life Points: 3300-

"I reveal my facedown, Rank-Up-Magic Raid Force! So now I can take back my Revolution Falcon and use it to Xyz summon a monster that's one rank higher!" stated Shadow as his Revolution Falcon appeared back on the field as it then turned into an orb of light as another portal opened up in front of the boy. Soon that light disappeared into the portal as a pillar of light emerged. "I Xyz Summon! Make way for a new monster, Raidraptor - Arsenal Falcon(2500/2000, OLU: 1)!!" The new monster that Shadow had managed to bring out soared onto the field as it some jets on the wings as it did some sharp flight maneuvers as it let out a screech.

"Well, then I'll activate the ability of my Amethyst Cat. So by cutting her attack points in half, she can go for her favorite scratching post." snickered Rarity with a smug smile as her kitty went to go play with her squeak toy.

"Give me a break, please," said Shadow as he pleaded and dropped to his knees as he begged Rarity's cat to leave him alone for one turn.

Amethyst Cat just growled at the boy as she then pinned him down to the ground again as she had the male under her as she growled in the boy's face. Shadow closed his eyes as he accepted his fate, he was expecting some pain but nothing happened. He then opened one eye slowly to see Rarity's monster just standing on top of him. Shadow opened his second eye as he let out a sigh of relief that he wasn't being tossed around until Amethyst Cat then quickly swiped her claw right in Shadow's face like it was a slap.
Shadow's Life Points: 2700-

"OW!!!" shouted the boy as he felt the pain for a while as soon it was completely gone.

"Pathetic human. Hmph," growled Amethyst Cat as she turned her head away with her nose in the air making sure to lift her tail also up high as she walked back to her master's side.

"Now the effect of my Emerald Tortoise activates, so I'll switch back my Amethyst Cat back into defense mode. I'll then end my turn."

Turn 14: Shadow

"My turn," said Shadow as he needed to figure out how he was going to stop Rarity from dealing him more damage. "I switch my Force Strix into attack mode. Then I'll have my Arsenal Falcon attack your Amethyst Cat!" stated the boy as he had his bird take off as it unleashed some missiles as they were heading towards Rarity's monster.

"I'll reveal my other facedown, my E Force spell card. With this, I can be able to special summon one 'Crystal Beast' from my spell and trap card zone. So I release my Amber Mammoth in defense mode." stated Rarity as her giant monster emerged with a trumpet sound. "And then activate Amber Mammoth's ability, so now he takes the hit instead of my cat." Amber Mammoth then stepped in front of his friend as he shielded Amethyst Cat from being destroyed as turned back into an orange gem.

"That's fine, cause now I got second attack ready to go, Force Strix take out that feline!!" shouted Shadow as his other monster now raced forward as he took out Rarity's cat as it turned into a pale amethyst crystal which materialized to Rarity’s right.

"Finally, that cat is outta here. I now activate the effect of my Raidraptor - Nest. So since I control 2 'Raidraptor' monsters, I can add one from my deck or graveyard, so I'll take back a Fuzzy Lanius." said Shadow as his duel disk then ejected hi card as he grabbed it.

"I'll then end my turn with two facedowns."

Turn 15: Rarity

"My turn, and to start I'll play the spell card Rare Value. When they're two or more 'Crystal Beast' in my spell and trap card zone and I sacrifice one of them, I can draw two new cards. But which one I sacrifice is completely up to you, darling."

"Up to me?" said Shadow.

"What, is my beauty making you blush?" said Rarity with a wink. "Darling, I may be beautiful, but I'm quite generous. And this spell shows it, so which one do you want to get rid of?"

"That's the easiest choice. That cat of yours," said Shadow as he was glad to be rid of the furry thing for good.

"My word, no need to be excited about that," said Rarity as she was a bit offended by Shadow insulting her monster. She then drew her cards as she looked at her hand. "Now, I'll have my Topaz Tiger attack your Force Strix!" stated the girl as her monster boosted its attack even more due to its special ability as it took out Shadow's monster.
Shadow's Life Points: 1000-

"Now I'll reveal my facedown, Rank-Up-Magic Doom Double Force. So now I resurrect my Force Strix and use it to Xyz summon a 'Raidraptor' that's twice its rank!" Shadow's Force Strix was back on the field as it turned into an orb of light as it then transformed into an orb of light as it hovered in the air for a bit as a portal opened up in front of the boy. Soon the orb of light entered the portal as a pillar of light emerged. "Dauntless falcon. Hoist up the flame of anger, become the flash of light that burns the land to ash! Go Rank-Up Xyz Evolution! You're clear for take-off! Raidraptor - Satellite Cannon Falcon(3000/2000, OLU: 1)!!" The new monster emerged as the symbol shined on its back as it let out a screech.

"Very well, I end with a facedown."

Turn 16: Shadow

"My turn and I'll start by activating my Raidraptor - Nest so since I control at least 2 'Raidraptor' monsters, I can add one from my deck to my hand. Then I'll play the spell card, Raidraptor Sanctuary, so since I control three monsters, I can draw 2 more cards. With that done, I'll now activate the special ability of my Satellite Cannon Falcon. By using one overlay unit, I can lower a monster on your side of the field by 800 for every 'Raidraptor' monster in my graveyard, and I have 8 which means your Topaz Tiger loses all of its attack points." stated Shadow as his monster then opened its hatch as it had some missiles ready to launch.

"Well, it won't work cause thanks to my Crystal Master's pendulum ability, you can't target my monsters," said Rarity.

"This I'm ready, cause I reveal my facedown, Raptor's Gust. So since a spell/trap card effect was activated, I can negate it and destroy it. And your pendulum cards count as spells when they're in the pendulum zones. So it's fair game!" stated Shadow as he got rid of Rarity's pendulum card as he managed to get rid of one of her toughest defenses. Rarity then sent her pendulum card to her Extra Deck.

"Fire one!" shouted Shadow as his monster did that and exploded near Rarity's tiger.

"Fire two!"

Another shot.

"Fire three!"

Another one.

"Fire four!"

Once more.

"Fire five!"

Another one.

"Fire six!"

Again.

"Fire seven!" shouted the boy.

"Fire eight!" stated Shadow as he shot his last load of ammo as Rarity's monster was very weak.

"You'll pay for that!" shouted Rarity as she was legit angry at what Shadow did to her monster.

"Like I care! Take it out! Go Vengeful Vengeance!" shouted the boy as his monster powered up its attack as it loaded its cannon weapons. It then had the cat locked on as it fired a powerful beam toward the monster.

"I reveal my facedown, Cut Jewel! So by sending a 'Crystal Beast' from my deck to my graveyard, I can cut your Satellite Falcon's attack points in half!" Rarity then sent away her Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle as she reduced Shadow's falcon down to 1500 attack points to stay in the duel and reduce the damage she would take as the attack made contact.
Rarity's Life Points: 2100-

"Since my tiger was destroyed, you also took out my Crystal Release. So now I can place a 'Crystal Beast' in my spell and trap card zone. And I choose my Sapphire Pegasus. Plus my Topaz Tiger also becomes a gem." said Rarity as she had three of her gems in her back row with her Ruby and Emerald on her field in defense mode.

"I'll now end my turn with a facedown."

Turn 17: Rarity

"My turn, and I'll play Crystal Blessing. So I'll take my Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat and Cobalt Eagle in my graveyard and place them in my back row," said Rarity as her duel disk ejected her cards as she now filled up her entire back row. "Then activate the ability of my field spell, so since I have 5, I can summon of one my gems so I choose my Amber Mammoth. Then activate another effect, so that I can draw one card since I have four. Next up, I'll play Crystal Promise so that I can summon my Topaz Tiger from my spell and trap card zone." stated the girls as both of her monsters were back in play.

"Next, up I'm placing another Crystal Release onto my Topaz Tiger. So now Amber Mammoth take out his Raidraptor Rudder Strix. And then Topaz Tiger will take out your Raidraptor Arsenal Falcon to win!" said Rarity as her monsters were given their orders as they took out Shadow's two monsters.

"I reveal Defense Draw, so all battle damage becomes zero and I draw an extra card." said Shadow as he managed to stay alive in this duel. "Now since my Arsenal Falcon was destroyed while it had an Xyz material, I can now summon a 'Raidraptor' Xyz monster from my Extra Deck and then attach my Arsenal Falcon as an overlay unit," said Shadow as his monster appeared again as it entered a portal as a pillar of light emerged. "I call upon my most brazen bird of prey! With its alloy wings, it can swoop down and wipe away any target! Soar forth, Raidraptor - Ultimate Falcon(3500/2000, OLU: 1)!" Shadow now had one of his most powerful monsters on the field as it let out a screech that caused everybody to take in the sight of this new falcon.

"I'll now activate the effect of my Emerald Tortoise so that I can change my Amber Mammoth to defense mode," said Rarity.

"I'll then end my turn with a facedown."

Turn 18: Shadow

"My turn and I'll now use the ability of my Raidraptor Ultimate Falcon, so by using one overlay unit, I can lower your Topaz Tiger's attack points by 1000," said Shadow as Rarity's monster now had 1400 attack points.

"I'll reveal my facedown, Crystal Raigeki. So by sending my Cobalt Eagle to my graveyard from my spell and trap card zone, I can destroy one monster on your field and I choose your Satellite Cannon Falcon," said Rarity as she managed to an extra attack by Shadow.

"Fine, cause Ultimate Falcon will attack your Topaz Tiger to win!" stated the boy.

"Not yet, cause Amber Mammoth's effect allows him to step in and take the hit instead," said Rarity as she saved herself from losing the duel as her mammoth protected her tiger as it turned into an orange gem.

With Rarity, taking out my Satellite Cannon Falcon, I don't have any more attacks to launch.

"In that case, I'll end my turn with a facedown. And now my Ultimate Falcon's other ability activates, since I used a 'Raidraptor' to summon it, it can lower the rest of your three Crystal Beasts by 1000 attack points." said Shadow as he stripped away Rarity's Ruby and Emerald of their attack points while in defense mode and Topaz was reduced to 400 attack points.

Turn 19: Rarity

"My turn," said the girl as she whipped her card out, sparks of violet light in its wake. She turned the card over, looked at it, and held it out. “I activate the spell card, Crystal Overfusion!” Rays of violet light shone from Rarity’s card. Above her in the air, the images of Topaz Tiger, Cobalt Eagle, Ruby Carbuncle, and Emerald Tortoise appeared. In front of her, the crystallized forms of Amethyst Cat, Amber Mammoth, Sapphire Pegasus began to crack apart, glowing the same light. Rarity’s voice echoed as she spoke. “By banishing Crystal Beast cards in my graveyard and on my field, either as monsters or as spell cards, I conduct a Fusion Summon!” The crystallized monsters shattered, and the shards rose into the air, swirling around each other in a sphere.

Rarity put a hand over her duel disk. “By combining the lights of the seven gems, I create the bridge to a new future and summon forth a crystal guardian like no other! I Fusion Summon! Descend, Rainbow Overdragon(4000/0)!” The clouds parted and Rarity’s new monster slowly lowered from above them. A massive white and gold dragon, even larger than Rainbow Dragon, spread its wings across the field and raised its head, eyes glowing white beneath a gold and silver horned crest. Its stomach was shining violet scales, light in seven colors pulsing within them. It hovered above Rarity and roared, the force shaking the field. "Now I'll activate Rainbow Overdragon’s special ability! By offering it as tribute, all other cards on the field are shuffled into the deck!"

"Oh no," said Shadow.

Rainbow Overdragon spread its wings. Shadow's Ultimate Falcon lit up in seven-colored light and squawked as it was drawn across the field. Shadow turned his head as the monster behind him condensed, fire roiling inside a sphere of the same light, and floated after the falcon. When the two forms were close enough, Rainbow Overdragon swept its wings around them and bowed its head. Sparks crackled over its wings and the dragon dissolved, Shadow’s cards vanished from within its grasp. Rarity reached to her duel disk as a card ejected from her graveyard slot, and she held it up. “I activate the effect of Crystal Overfusion in my graveyard. By banishing it when the monster it summoned leaves the field, I can search my deck, hand, graveyard, or banished zone, for a Rainbow Dragon card, and summon it.” With a shimmer of purple light over it, Crystal Overfusion in Rarity’s hand transformed into Rainbow Dragon.

“From my deck, appear, Rainbow Dragon(4000/0)!” The vanishing particles of Rainbow Overdragon came together behind her and formed into the visage of Rainbow Dragon, the beast roaring proudly. The light in the air above them shinned brighter, the silhouette of a long, serpentine dragon appearing within it. With the sound of a mighty roar, the light cracked and broke apart. From the shards came a giant white and gold dragon in a rainbow aura, massive white wings spreading into the air, gemstones in seven colors embedded in its scales. It descended behind Rarity and coiled in the air above her, glaring at Shadow with golden eyes beneath a crested helmet of white and gold.

"Now to finish this, Rainbow Dragon, attack Shadow directly! Rainbow Refraction!!" shouted Rarity. Rainbow Dragon opened its jaws as it summoned energy from the seven gemstones in its scales. It thrust its head forward and fired a beam of searing light.

"When I find myself in a direct attack, I can activate this card from my hand. My Raidraptor- Alertness! So by banishing a 'Rank-Up' card from my graveyard, I can avoid taking damage this turn." said Shadow as he barely survived Rarity's attack as he had to wipe his forehead cause he was sweating hard.

"Good job," said Rarity as she applauded the boy for being able to survive her finishing move. "Then I'll end with a facedown, so... what will you do, darling?"

Turn 20: Shadow

"Easy, win! Right now!!" shouted Shadow as he drew his card and wasted no time in winning. "I'll activate Rank-Up-Magic Soul Shave Force! So by paying half my life points, I can target one 'Raidraptor' Xyz monster in my graveyard and use it to summon another monster that's 2 ranks higher. So I choose my Revolution Falcon so that I can bring back my Ultimate Falcon!" stated Shadow as he had his monster back.
Shadow's Life Points: 500-

"Now I'll use the ability of my Ultimate Falcon so that I can lower your Rainbow Dragon by 1000 attack points," said Shadow as his monster weaken Rarity's beast.

"Even so, it still doesn't have enough attack points to finish me off. And come the end of your turn, your Soul Shave Force makes it so that you take damage equal to your Ultimate Falcon's attack points. So you lose."

"Not yet!" stated Shadow. "The fire and anger that's inside gives me the strength to overcome anything, like this. I play Rank-Up-Magic Skip Force! Now I can use my Ultimate Falcon to conduct another Xyz Summon that's 2 ranks higher! This is the end!!" shouted Shadow as he let out all the anger from his early childhood as it was fueling his passion as he looked to pass this exam. His monster then changed into an orb of light as it hovered in the air as a portal opened in front of the boy as it entered the portal and a pillar of light emerged. "They say it is the phoenix that rises from the ashes of defeat, but they are wrong, it is the Raptor! Go, Rank-Up Xyz Evolution! Fly high! Raidraptor - Final Fortress Falcon(3800/2800, OLU: 1)!!!" Out emerged Shadow's most powerful monster in his deck of falcons as it appeared and let out a screech as Rarity looked at it.

"Time to win! Raidraptor Final Fortress Falcon attack Rainbow Dragon!" shouted the boy as his monster opened the tiny compartments on its body and then shot out missiles as they zoomed at high speed and then made contact with Rarity's monster as they took it out.
Rarity's Life Points: 1300-

"Time to end this duel, cause up to twice per turn my monster can attack again, simply by banishing a 'Raidraptor' Xyz monster from my graveyard! So I banish my Blade Burner Falcon to attack you directly and end this duel!! Bombardment Blast Barrage!!!!" yelled Shadow as he was about to be declared the winner as the attack made contact with the fashionista as it created a huge explosion.

"Flawless vic..." started Shadow as he didn't finish his victory line when something happened.

"I reveal my facedown, Cross Damage!" shouted Rarity as the attack generated another explosion headed towards Shadow as his eyes widen at what it meant. "So it's game over." stated the girl as both were taken out and landed on their backs.
Shadow's Life Points: 0-
Rarity's Life Points: 0-
Draw

The duel ended as the three suits all took the result in and looked at Isaac as he had a serious look on his face as he was leaning in his chair and had his hand to his chin.

"So... what's the verdict, Isaac?" asked the one in charge.

Man, what a duel! I find it hilarious and silly that Shadow became Amethyst Cat's scratching post. I also find it interesting that Rarity is flirting with Shadow. Maybe she has a crush on him or something.
