Chapter 121: Showdown at sundown

"Alright, now I'll set the Pendulum Scale with the Scale 1 Sorcerer Swordsman and the Scale 8 Mirage Magician, I'm taking control of this duel, starting now!" shouted Isaac. Isaac's duel disk registered what he was doing as he placed the Pendulum cards on the far side of his card tray as the word 'Pendulum' in rainbow coloring spelled out to signal it worked. Isaac's two cards then appeared in columns of light as they stood still as the numbers showed in front of them.

"I'm allowed to summon monsters from Level 2 through 7, all at the same time. Back and forth, to and fro, what's coming next? You'll all soon know! So swing far Pendulum and carve the arc that will lead me to victory! My monsters are ready to swing into action!" Isaac then thrusted his hoof into the air as two lights came out of the giant portal above him. "Make way for the lady of the hour, Dark Magician Girl. And lastly, please give a warm welcome to the star monster of the show, Dark Magician!" stated Isaac as he had his two magicians on his field. Soon they disappeared.

"Alright, I think I have everything ready." said Sunset.

"Good, here you go." said Isaac as he handed Sunset his pendulum cards.

Sunset took the cards in her magic as she held them. She took a deep breath as she closed her eyes. Sunset then activated her duel disk as it projected a red card tray. She then drew some cards as she prepared to attempt what she was about to do. "Time to see how I handle this, using the Scale 1 Sorcerer Swordsman and the Scale 8 Mirage Magician, I set the Pendulum Scale." Sunset's duel disk registered what she was doing as she placed the Pendulum cards on the far side of her card tray as the word 'Pendulum' in rainbow coloring spelled out to signal it worked. The two cards then appeared in columns of light as they stood still as the numbers showed in front of them.

"Now I can summon monsters from Level 2 through 7 all at once." A giant portal opened above her as three lights emerged. "I Pendulum Summon, Red-Eyes Baby Dragon, Gearfried the Red-Eyes Iron Knight, and Red-Eyes B. Dragon." stated Sunset as she now had 3 monsters on her field.

"Nice work." said Isaac as her monsters disappeared.

"I... can't believe it. I did it." said Sunset as she couldn't believe that she managed to successful Pendulum summon on her first try. "I really Pendulum summon there."

"Pendulum summoning is easy, it's the many ways you can incorporate it to your playstyle that makes it more difficult to understand."

"Still, I see why you do it." Sunset then handed Isaac's cards back to him. "Now I really want some Pendulum cards of my own."

"Hey, no need to rush. Your deck is fine without these cards. Plus, we don't even know if there any Pendulum cards that can mesh with your Red-Eyes deck." said Isaac.

"Still I want to make sure that I'm not too far behind. But you're right, my deck for the time being is fine." smiled Sunset. "But don't get too comfortable, boy toy. Cause once I get my own set of Pendulum cards, then you're not going to be the only one."

"The key word is: if you get Pendulum cards." said Isaac with a smug smile on his face as he looked at the orange unicorn.

Both ponies just let out a laugh as they made their way back into the castle. The next day had arrived as Twilight had received a report from Applejack as it appeared that her cousin Braeburn was in need of some assistance.

"What's the problem?" asked Sunset.

"Seems mah cousin, Braeburn, has run into some problems." stated Aj.

"What kind of problems?" said Isaac.

"More like, a Duel Monsters problem. Seems a ragtag group is causing some trouble to the townsfolk."

"Has anypony been hurt?" said Sunset.

"Thankfully none so far. All they've been doin' is just causin' some mayhem and stealin' money from the bank. Not to mention, they've been drinkin' all the cider!" stated Applejack as that last part was personal to her.

"Let me guess, you want us to help your cousin and run those outlaws out of town?" commented Isaac.

"Darn tootin' partner."

"Then you all better get ready. It's a long train ride to Appaloosa." mentioned Twilight. "And I'll also be having Applejack accompany you two."

Once Twilight finish going over the details, the three ponies all got ready for their trip. They all made their way to the train station as the train had arrived and the three got onboard. During the ride, Applejack had informed Isaac and Sunset about the last time she and the others had visited Appaloosa. She told them how they were delivering a tree to be planted and along the way, a tribe of buffalo had managed to kidnap the train car that was holding the package and Spike who had decided it was a good idea to sleep next to something so precious. The result was less than pleasant as both Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie had entered the territory of the buffalos in an effort to rescue the young drake. Meanwhile the others had made it to town and discussed with Braeburn about the problem they were running into. The main problem was figuring out who had the rightful ownership of the land as it caused the buffalo tribe and the townsfolk to hold disdain for each other. So much so that the two sides went to war with each other as they nearly destroyed the town. Thankfully, they were able to come to a peaceful solution as both sides agreed to share the land. The train was now coming to its destination as it slowed down and let out some steam with a loud whistle. The three ponies then got off as they were greeted by a peachy yellow pony with a two toned orange mane and tail wearing a cowboy hat and a brown hoofmade vest.

"Hey there!" he said cheerfully, "Welcome ta A-A-Appaloosa!"

"Hey Braeburn!" said Applejack. "How's y'all doin'?"

"We're hangin', but with all these attacks recently, I don't know how much longer we'll last." said Braeburn.

"Well don't worry, ah brought some help." Applejack then pointed her hoof towards the ponies behind her. "Sunset, Isaac meet mah cousin Braeburn."

"Howdy, y'all." stated Braeburn as he shook the hoofs of Isaac and Sunset.

"Nice to meet you. So, you've been experiencing some problems?" asked Sunset.

"Darn tootin'. But we'll take care of that tomorrow, the sun is goin' down. Best to check into the motel and pick things up in the morning." stated Braeburn. He then led the three ponies as he brought them to the motel as they all got some rest after a long train ride.

The sun rose high on the western style town as many of the townsfolk were out and about. Applejack, Sunset, and Braeburn had already awaken as they were outside of the motel they stayed in. They were already to solve the problem as they waited for a certain colt.

"Where's that city slicker?! We've got a job to do." shouted Applejack.

"Hope I didn't keep everypony waiting." said Isaac. Everypony had to do a double take as they examined the colt. Seeing as how they were in the Wild West, Isaac had decided to dress in proper Appaloosa attire. He wore a black shirt, a leather jacket and a cowboy hat.

"What are you wearin'?" asked Applejack.

"Duh, I'm cowboy. Figured I'd dress the part."

"What are you trying to be, a Texas Ranger?" stated Sunset with a smug smile.

"Ha, ha. Very funny." mocked Isaac as he stuck his tongue out at the orange unicorn.

"Well, come along and I'll treat you to place for breakfast." said Braeburn.

The four of them then made their way to a small diner as they got a good hearty meal. After that they all exited the place, as Braeburn led them to the outskirts of town as he showed them some tracks. He then showed the three the many places that the bandits had stolen ranging from the bank, to the townhall, and even the saloon. Even the head waitress was expressing her disdain about the bandits not paying their tabs.

"And that's about it." said Braeburn. "Thankfully, they haven't harmed anypony as they just take what they want. But they did mention that we if don't answer their demands, then they'll really start hurtin' ponies."

"Well don't worry, partner. Sheriff Isaac is here to make sure nobody disturbs the town's peace."

"Sheriff?!" shouted Applejack.

"Okay, now you've let this go to your head." said Sunset.

"Quiet, Deputy." said Isaac as he pointed at Sunset. "Anyways, when can we expect to see these troublemakers."

"Well, based on their patterns. They come once a week to pillage the town, and that so happens to be tomorrow." mentioned Braeburn.

"Then, I guess nothing to do but wait till tomorrow." said Sunset.

"So what do we do till then?" asked Applejack.

"Well, we're gonna have an Appaloosa jamboree tonight." stated Braeburn. "It's the biggest event at Appaloosa. It's something the town does once a month as a way for us to take our minds off of things and trust me, with the recent activity, it does wonders for us. Y'all should come too."

"That sounds great." said Sunset.

"It be nice to just kick and not worry about any trouble happenin'." smiled Applejack.

Later that night, sure enough, nearly half the town had gathered at a large building near the center of a town. Everypony walked through the doors, while among them, the trio had arrived at the building.

"Wow, this place is amazing." said Sunset, amazed by what she was seeing.

As the crowds had a tendency to bump into one another whilst going inside the building, one of them bumped into Sunset and Applejack by accident. Before both mares stumbled, Isaac immediately grabbed them both out of instinct.

"Here," said Isaac as he held both girls close, "Don't wanna get lost in the crowd."

"Thanks, sugarcube. Sometimes I wonder why everypony has the tendency into bumpin' into one another."

"Trust me when I say this Aj, that question has been left unanswered since the beginning of the 21st century." said Isaac.

Eventually all three of them made it to a table, where so many of the townsfolks were having the time of their life. They looked around and saw that all of them have gathered. On stage, they could see Braeburn talking to everypony from the stage.

"Alright there everypony!" said Braeburn. "Welcome to the monthly Appaloosa jamboree!!" Everypony cheered as some stomped their hooves, with some whistling, for this was truly a momentous occasion for everypony. "We'd like to welcome all the fine members of this town and new friends that came from afar for our little shindig!!!" said Braeburn. "So without further ado, we'd like to get this party underway!!!"

Everyone cheered for the announcement. Sure enough, within the first half hour, everyone was singing, dancing, and enjoying some of the festivities. Soon everyone began to gather near the dance floor. The trio really started to enjoy themselves as the beat of the music and the band that was playing provide some good country music.

All throughout the night, everypony was enjoying themselves. Sunset and Applejack even took turns as they danced with Isaac. Applejack even managed to teach the pair how to properly square dance which was harder than it looked at first glance. Nevertheless the three of them enjoyed themselves as the night was full of excitement and fun.

The next day came about as the crew awaited for the gang to show up. The townsfolk were hiding behind barrels and inside of buildings as they watched from the windows. Soon the four ponies stood in the center of town as they awaited for the trouble to show up.

"Hope y'all can help." said Braeburn.

"Don't worry, Sheriff Isaac and Deputy Sunset are on the case." said Isaac as he tipped his cowboy hat.

"Again, who gave you the right to call me your deputy?" asked Sunset as she was offended that she was labeled as Isaac's sidekick for this adventure.

"And who said you could play dress up?" asked Applejack.

"Just let me have this moment!" shouted Isaac. "Don't ruin this for me!"

"Uh, no offense Isaac. But we have an actually sheriff." stated Braeburn as he pointed to a stallion named Silverstar who was a grayish-brown pony with dark brown mane and tail, with a black mustache. He was also wearing a blue denim vest, a red handkerchief around his neck, and a black cowboy hat.

"Dang nab it!" shouted Isaac as he threw his hat on the floor in anger.

Soon a rumbling was heard as the ground began to shake. Isaac picked up his hat as he dusted it off and put it back on his head. The townsfolks knew what that sound meant as they quickly ducked for cover. The group saw a massive cloud of dust coming as it got closer and closer until it screeched to a halt as it caused the four of them to cough a bit. Soon the dust settled as the group looked ahead and saw a few real-life horses as they had red-eyes and each had a rider on them. From what Isaac could tell, them all seem to be the Duel Monster spirits, Magical Musketeers as they each wielded their own weapon. While Braeburn was a bit intimated, Isaac and the girls all stood their ground and kept a determined look on their face.

"So, who's in charge?" asked Isaac.

Soon the group parted ways as the leader came through the crowd as it turned out to be Magical Musketeer Starfire.

"Okay, was not expectin' a girl to be the one in charge of this ragtag group." stated Applejack.

"That would be me. So which one of you is the sheriff of this quaint little town?" asked Magical Musketeer Starfire.

Everypony looked at Sheriff Silverstar who just simply locked himself into his office as he barricade it. The three just rolled their eyes as Isaac took a step forward.

"That would be me, and this here is my deputy."

"I'm not your deputy!" shouted Sunset. Soon Isaac made a hat appear on Sunset's head as she just gave a scowl at the caramel colt.

"Is that so? Well then, you know what I'm here for. Give me what I demand and I'll let this town survive on my way to domination." said Magical Musketeer Starfire as the rest of her comrades all agreed as they fired off their weapons towards the sky. "Especially, cause now that all the other leaders are gone, it means I've won this war by default. I knew it was the smart plan to just sit back and let the other fall one by one."

"Yeah, well you have us to thank for that. And congrats on winning this little race of yours, you get a prize for being the last one standing. And that's me running you outlaws out of town." stated Isaac.

"Got backbone for such a young and small pony." said Magical Musketeer Starfire as she looked at Isaac.

"We both know how this is going to go, so let's just skip the formalities and get on with our duel." suggested Isaac.

"Very well, on one condition. You must first defeat my associate." Starfire then snapped her fingers as Magical Musketeer Kidbrave stepped down off of his horse and appeared before the colt. "Beat him in a challenge and I'll agree to face you."

"Fine by me, just remember when I win, you leave on the horse radish you rode in on." said Isaac as he now got into character as he deepen his voice to fit that of a cowpony.

Soon both of them looked at each other as the scene cut to a western movie with the camera focused on the combatant's eyes. Applejack and Sunset were shocked by what was happening as they were question what was with all the dramatic effects. They eventually saw Isaac get in position as he stared down his challenger. For a moment, nothing was said as the sound of showdown music played as everypony watching this was waiting to see what would happen. Then it occurred, from the group, Magical Musketeer Casper started to make some sounds with his mouth as if he was beatboxing.

"What is this?" asked the girls as they were surprised by what they were seeing and hearing.

"Is this a rap battle?" asked Braeburn.

"Ready!" shouted Kidbrave.

"Ready!" yelled Isaac in time with the beatbox.

"Draw!" shouted Starfire as both began to rap.

"Where I do start? Oh this dreadful, you want some negative words, I've got a handful of rhymes. That are terrible and wicked." rhymed Kidbrave.

"And I can make the terrible, terrific when I kick it. Whoop, whoop, wicked I can flick it in reverse and make it wonderful without the need to rehearse it." countered Isaac with his own rhyme. "Take a head full of dreadful and make it dreamy. I can turn your sadness into smiles when you see me."

"Oh leave me alone, I think this place is awful. You're a frankfurter, well I prefer a falafel. Every waffle and frozen food is horrendous."

"And this is going from awesome to stupendous. When this started, see I knew you were resilient."

"More like resentful."

"See that's brilliant."

"What?" asked Kidbrave.

"Kidbrave, give me another word. I make it positive rest assured." said Isaac as he was still rhyming. Seems the others were also into this little rap battle that was happening.

"Jealous."

"Joyful."

"Repulsive."

"Refined."

"Gross!"

"Well this is great! What else you got on your mind?"

"Well this is dumb."

"It's divine. I'm delighted you visited."

"Miserable."

"It's a little magnificent, isn't it."

"Spoiled!"

"Sparkling!"

"Lousy!"

"Laughter! We can live..."

"Horribly!" shouted Kidbrave.

"Happily ever after! Phew!" said Isaac as he fired the last shot as the battle ended with Kidbrave not having anything else to say. Soon Isaac blew his hoof to signal that he won this little challenge laid before him.

Everyone around them was shocked by what they saw and heard. Soon both Aj and Sunset joined Isaac's side as they couldn't believe what they just witnessed.

"What the hell was that?!" shouted Sunset.

"When did you get some rappin and rhymin skills?" asked Applejack.

"Hey I'm from the city." said Isaac. "It's something I picked up on the streets."

"Sorry about that boss." said Kidbrave as he prepared for a scowling by his leader as he made his way back to the gang.

"Never mind that. I was going to challenge him either way, I just wanted to have some fun." Magical Musketeer then looked at Magical Musketeer Casper as he reached into his saddle bag and pulled out what appeared to be two guns but were actually duel disk when activated. She then grabbed it as she stepped forward and looked at Isaac.

"You did well, now time to see if you're quick on the draw as you are with your mouth." said Starfire as she tossed one of the gun duel disk in front of Isaac as it slide over to him.

Isaac grabbed the small thing with his magic as he looked at it and position it into his gun holster as Magical Musketeer Starfire did the same thing. Both Applejack and Sunset noticed how tense the situation was as they stepped back with Braeburn as they prepared for a duel to take place. The clocktower was ticking as it would soon serve as the signal for the duel to get underway. But before that... we need to set the scene and the mood. So... three... two... and action!

It was moments before high noon in Appaloosa. The sun was a blazing! The townsfolk were nervous and down on main street... a pony and Duel Monster prepared to face off. They both looked confident.

(Cue Western Showdown noise effects. And have a tumble weed roll by.)

Soon the clock struck twelve.

"Draw!" shouted everyone.

Both Isaac and Magical Musketeer then drew their guns as they placed it on their duel arm and it transformed into a duel disk as they drew their cards in one movement and spread them out. This was done to see who would go first and the shocking part was that both went at the same rapid speed that it was a tie.

"You're a quick draw, colt." said Magical Musketeer Starfire as she was impressed by the boy's skills.

"You as well." complimented Isaac.

"But who was first?!" asked Braeburn.

"In the event of a tie, the person who threw down the challenge has the choice." said Magical Musketeer Wild.

"Very well. Let's get this started." said Magical Musketeer Starfire.

"Opponent detected. Streaming data. Duel mode set. Initiating. Commencing duel." said the duel disks.

Magical Musketeer Starfire's Life Points: 8000-

Isaac's Life Points: 8000-

Turn 1: Starfire

"Hope you're ready." said Starfire as she drew her card. "To start, I'll summon Infernity Mirage(0/0) in attack mode." Out came a fiend that wore an outfit as it let out a terrifying face.

An Infernity deck? Uh oh. Isaac knew how much trouble he was going to be in.

"Next, I'll lay a facedown and end my turn." said Starfire.

"Uh, Sunset. I know ah don't duel, but why would she summon a monster in attack mode if it doesn't have any attack points."

"I don't know. This is a deck that I'm not too knowledge about."

Turn 2: Isaac

"My turn, so here goes something." said Isaac as he drew his card. "To start, I'll summon my Magician's Valkyria in defense mode. Then cause there's a Level 4 or below monster on the field, I can also summon my Mage Annette also in defense mode." Isaac now had two female spellcasters on his field as they were prepared to protect their master. "Now Mage Annette's effect activates, so since she was summoned, I get to draw an extra card."

"I now activate my facedown, Full Salvo. Thanks to this trap, I now must discard my entire hand and then you take damage for every card that I send by 200." Magical Musketeer Starfire then sent all of her cards away as missiles appeared and started to bombard Isaac as they made contact with the colt.
Isaac's Life Points: 7200-

"And I'm not done, cause now I activate Infernity Mirage's effect. Since I have no cards in my hand, I can now tribute my Infernity Mirage so that I can summon 2 'Infernity' monsters from my graveyard. So rise up Infernity Archfiend(1800/1200) and Infernity Destroyer(2300/1000)." said Starfire as she now had two more powerful monster replace her previous one. "And since my Infernity Archfiend was special summoned, I can add 1 'Infernity' card to my hand."

I was afraid of this. Now the duel can work in her favor as long as she stays cardless. "I'll just lay a facedown and end my turn."

Turn 3: Starfire

"My draw, and I'll play the card I drew, Infernity Burst. Now with this card, I can inflict 800 points of damage for every 'Infernity' monster that I control. So since I control 2 'Infernity' monsters, you take 1600 points of direct damage." stated Starfire.
Isaac's Life Points: 5600-

"Next, I'll have my both of my monsters attack your magicians." said Starfire as her monsters took out Isaac's entire field. "Now, I'll end my turn with a facedown. And you're now down to nearly half of your life total."

"Isaac, you okay, sugar?"

"Just fine."

"This is bad, seems her strategy revolves around her having zero cards." said Sunset.

Turn 4: Isaac

"My turn," said Isaac as he drew his card, "To start, I'll play Graceful Charity so that means I can pick up 3 cards and discard two." Isaac then looked at his hand as he figured out which ones he wanted to get rid of. "Next, I'll play my Ancient Rule."

"Now gonna happen, cause my facedown, Infernity Barrier. So now your spell card if negated and destroyed." said Starfire as she put Isaac's plan on hold.

Great, that ruins my attempt to swing the duel into my favor. "I'll just play my Big Shield Gardna in defense mode and call it."

Turn 5: Starfire

"My draw, to start I'll have my Infernity Destroyer attack your Big Shield Gardna." Infernity Destroyer then brought it claws as it slashed on Big Shield Gardna who repelled the attack. Soon Isaac's monster then started to change mode as it stood up.
Magical Musketeer Starfire's Life Points: 7700-

"Now since your monster was attacked, it now forces it to switch modes. A small price to pay, but well worth it cause now I'll have my Infernity Archfiend to take out your monster." said Starfire.

"I reveal my facedown, Half Unbreak. So now not only is my monster safe, but the damage I take is cut in half." Isaac's card then caused a bubble barrier to appear as he protected his monster and helped to minimize the damage.
Isaac's Life Points: 4750-

"A bold move. But it won't matter, so I'll end my turn."

Turn 6: Isaac

"My turn, so first I'll switch my Big Shield Gardna back into defense mode. Then I'll play my Monster Reborn to summon my Dark Magician." Isaac now had his ace magician as it appeared and descended on the field. "Now time to strike, Dark Magician attack Infernity Destroyer with Dark Magic Attack!" Dark Magician heard Isaac's command as he blasted his target off the field.
Magical Musketeer Starfire's Life Points: 7500-

"Now, I'll place one card facedown and end my turn."

Turn 7: Starfire

"Impressive, now then. To start, I'll play my continuous spell card Wave-Motion Inferno. Then, I'll summon my Infernity Wildcat(1400/0) to the field." Out came a cat as it had fangs and its front claws were on fire. "Next, I activate Infernity Wildcat's ability, so I banish my Infernity Knight from the graveyard which allows me to reduce the Level of my monster by 1." said Starfire as she prepared to summon a powerful monster.

"Don't tell me." said Isaac.

"I now tune my Level 2 Infernity Wildcat with my Level 4 Infernity Archfiend." Both monster then jumped into the sky as Infernity Wildcat turned into two giant green rings as Infernity Archfiend was in between them. "I now Synchro Summon, Infernity Doom Archfiend(2200/1600)." Out came a monster as it had a scary face with its arms out to its side and wore a symbol on its back. "Now a couple of things happen. First the effect of my spell card, Wave-Motion Inferno activates. Since I control no cards in my hand, my 'Infernity' monsters gain 400 attack/defense points. Also I'll activate the effect of my Infernity Doom Archfiend, since I have no cards in my hand, it can negate the effect of one of your monster and then destroy it. So bid farewell to Big Shield Gardna." said Starfire as she snapped her fingers.

"Now I'll have my Infernity Doom Archfiend, attack your Dark Magician. Oh and I should mention, that while I control no cards in my hand, the damage my monster deals is doubled." Infernity Doom Archfiend then raised his hand as he shot out his attack as it collided with Dark Magician and took him out.
Isaac's Life Points: 4550-

"Isaac!" shouted both mares.

"I'm fine, girls." Though really, I'm not. Cause if I don't find a way to turn this duel around, I may have to turn in my sheriff hat.

"Almost done, now then it's your move."

Turn 8: Isaac

"My turn, I draw. Time for me to take back control of this duel. To start, I'll play my Pot of Greed so that I can pick up some more cards." Isaac then looked at his hand as he started to figure out his plan. "Next, I'll reveal my facedown, Eternal Soul. With this, I can now bring back my Dark Magician. Then I'll play the spell Bond Between Teacher and Student, with that I can now summon the Dark Magician Girl." Isaac now had his two star spellcasters as he looked to deal some massive damage. "Next, my spell allows me to set my Dark Magic Twin Burst, but before I activate it. I'll play Thousand Knives and with it, I can destroy your Infernity Doom Archfiend!" shouted Isaac. Soon magical daggers appeared as they headed towards Infernity Doom Archfiend who was destroyed.

"With that you're now wide open to an attack, so now I'll activate my Dark Magic Twin Burst to raise the attack power of my Dark Magician by the attack strength of my Dark Magician Girl. So now go my magicians, attack with Double Dark Magic Attack!" said Isaac as he thrusted his hand out as both of his monsters delivered a powerful blow.
Magical Musketeer Starfire's Life Points: 1000-

"With that I'll end my turn." smiled Isaac.

"Yeehaw, nice shootin' sugarcube." cheered Applejack.

Turn 9: Starfire

"Very good, but I'll still be the victor. Now then, I'll play Pot of Greed to allow me to draw 2 cards."

"What?" asked Isaac.

"I know what you're thinking, why would I want to draw cards when my whole strategy revolves around me not having any. Quite simple actually, it allows to have more options and allow me to get a certain card like this. I now play the continuous spell card, Infernity Launcher. So now I'll send my Infernity Beast from my hand to the graveyard, so that I can revive 2 'Infernity' monsters back to my field. And I choose Infernity Doom Archfiend and Infernity Beetle(1200/0)." Magical Musketeer Starfire now 2 more monster on her field as one of them was a tuner.

"Not again." said Isaac.

"Indeed, now I tune my Level 2 Infernity Beetle with my Level 6 Infernity Doom Archfiend." Infernity Beetle then unfolded its wings as it flew into the air as it transformed into two giant green rings as Infernity Doom Archfiend jumped in between them. "Watch as the sinister spirits that inhabit each of these creatures combine into one. Watch, as I summon forth the Infernity Doom Dragon(3000/2400)!" Out came a powerful dragon as it let out a mighty roar that caused the townsfolk to quake in fear. "Hope you're ready, cause now the other effect of my Infernity Doom Archfiend activates, since it was used as Synchro material for a Dark Synchro Monster, that monster can now make 2 attack on each of your monsters during each Battle Phase."

"What?" shouted Sunset.

"And don't forget about my Wave-Motion Inferno, my Doom Dragon now gains 400 attack and defense points. So now my dragon, take out his magicians!" said Magical Musketeer Starfire as she gave her monster its orders. Doom Dragon then opened its mouth as it took out Isaac's entire field.
Isaac's Life Points: 2250-

"Ahh!" said Isaac as he felt the force of the attack as he tumbled a bit in the dirt.

"Isaac, you okay?" asked Sunset.

"Yeah." said Isaac he wiped the scuff near his mouth with his hoof.

"Not for much longer. So take your turn."

Turn 10: Isaac

"Alright, time to see what I get. Here goes!" said Isaac as he drew his card. "Perfect, now I'll play Card of Sanctity. Which means we now must draw until we're holding 6 cards in our hand. And since your spell only works when you have no cards, your infernity Doom Dragon loses those extra 400 attack points." stated Isaac. "Time for me to swing this duel into my favor, so here goes. Now I'll set the Pendulum Scale with the Scale 1 Sorcerer Swordsman and the Scale 3 Black Arts Trickster. I'm taking control of this duel, starting now!" shouted Isaac. Isaac's duel disk registered what he was doing as he placed the Pendulum cards on the far side of his card tray as the word 'Pendulum' in rainbow coloring spelled out to signal it worked. Isaac's two cards then appeared in columns of light as they stood still as the numbers showed in front of them.

"What good does that do, Isaac?" asked Sunset. "His scale makes it so that he can only summon Level 2 monsters."

"What are you planning?" asked Magical Musketeer Starfire.

"You'll see, but first let me explain the pendulum ability of my Sorcerer Swordsman, he allows me to add monster from my graveyard to my hand, so long as they fall in the scale I've set."

"Even so, the scale is only 2? And Isaac doesn't have any Level 2 monsters in his graveyard." said Applejack.

"That's where my other pendulum card comes in handy, cause now I activate my Black Arts Trickster's pendulum ability. Since I control a 'magician' in my other Pendulum Zone, I can raise the scale of my Black Arts Trickster's up to 10."

"You can what?!" shouted everybody as they were amazed by what Isaac and his pendulum cards could do. Soon the number in front of Black Arts Trickster then went up.

"Now I have brand new scale to work with and so I'll activate my Sorcerer Swordsman's pendulum ability. So I return both of my magicians as well as Magician's Valkyria." Isaac's duel disk then slotted out his card for him to grab and add to his hand. "And now the time has come, I'm allowed to summon monster from Level 2 through 9 all at the same time. Back and forth, to and fro, what's coming next? You'll all soon know! So swing far Pendulum and carve the arc that will lead me to victory! My monsters are ready to swing into action!" Isaac then thrusted his hoof into the air as three lights came out of the giant portal above him. "Meet the stunning magician who's here to shine light in the darkness, Magician's Valkyria. Make for the lady of the hour, Dark Magician Girl. And lastly, give a warm welcome to the star monster of our show, Dark Magician!" Isaac now had 3 magicians on his field.

"I'll admit, I've never seen anything like that. But even with your fancy new move, your monsters are still too weak to take my Infernity Doom Dragon down."

"Then maybe this will change your mind, I play Magic Formula to raise the attack points of my Dark Magician by 700. Now he's more than capable of taking down your monster and allowing my two other ladies to finish you. So Dark Magician attack Infernity Doom Dragon." said Isaac. His magician then took out Infernity Doom Dragon as it looked to be all over as Isaac's other spellcasters looked to strike.
Magical Musketeer Starfire's Life Points: 800-

"This isn't over yet, I discard Swift Scarecrow to negate your direct attack and end your battle phase." said Starfire as she managed to protect herself. Her gang were sweating too as they thought their leader was nearly defeated.

"Impressive." said Isaac. "In that case, I'll just end my turn with a facedown."

Turn 11: Starfire

"My turn, and I'll play the spell Monster Reborn. So arise once more Infernity Doom Dragon. Now I'll have my monster take out your Magician's Valkyria." said Starfire as her monster rose from the ground and took out Isaac's monster. "Next, I'll just lay this card facedown and end my turn."

Turn 12: Isaac

"Time for me to win, so here goes. Now Dark Magician, take out Infernity Doom Dragon once more." said Isaac. Dark Magician then took out its target.
Magical Musketeer's Life Points: 600-

"Just what I had hoped, now I reveal my facedown Infernity Reflector. Whenever an 'Infernity' monster is destroyed, I now send all the cards in my hand to the graveyard. But now the monster that was destroyed comes back, so Infernity Doom Dragon is back in play. And you take 1000 points of damage." smiled Starfire.
Isaac's Life Points: 1650-

"I'll play one card facedown and end my turn."

Turn 13: Starfire

"Indeed, now then." said Magical Musketeer Starfire as she drew her card. "I now play my Infernity Randomizer(900/0) in defense mode. Then I'll activate the effect of my Infernity Conjurer(1200/900) from my graveyard, so since I control no cards in my hand I can special summon him from the grave. In addition, your monsters all lose 800 attack points." stated Starfire. "Don't forget that all of my monsters gain 400 extra attack/defense points since I control no cards. Which is more than enough to finish you. Now Infernity Doom Dragon and Infernity Conjurer take out his magicians and end this duel!" shouted Starfire as she looked to end this as both of Isaac's monsters were destroyed.

"Ahh!" said Isaac as he held his ground.
Isaac's Life Points: 0-

"You lose." said Starfire.

"Wrong!" yelled out Isaac. "I reveal my Relay Soul trap card, so now I can special summon one monster from my hand and as long as that monster stays on my field, I remain in the duel. So now I entrust my fate with this monster... Dark Magician of Chaos." said Isaac as his monster appeared on his field. "And since I summoned my Dark Magician of Chaos, I can add a spell card to my hand." stated Isaac as he selected the card he wanted.

"Quick thinking, well then, I now activate the effect of my Infernity Randomizer and draw a card. Should it be a monster, you then take damage equal to its Level by 200, but a spell or trap then you take 500 points."

"What good will that do you? My trap makes it so that I can't take damage." said Isaac.

"I know," said Starfire as she drew her card and revealed it. "It was a monster, but it won't matter."

Turn 14: Isaac

"My turn," said Isaac. I know what her card is due to her monster's effect, so why even do that move at all? "Regardless, I now activate the effect of my Sorcerer Swordsman' pendulum ability once more. So now I return my Magician's Valkyria and Dark Magician Girl back to my hand. And now I'll pendulum summon once more." said Isaac as the two cards he got back were now on his field. "Then I'll play my Dark Burning Attack, so now Dark Magician Girl can take out all of your monsters on the field." said Isaac.

"Not gonna happen, now I banish Infernity Mimic so that I can negate the activation and destroy your spell card. However, at the end of this turn, I take 1000 points of damage." informed Starfire.

"In that case, I'll play the spell card Wonder Wand to give my Dark Magician of Chaos an extra 500 attack points. So now, Dark Magician of Chaos take out Infernity Doom Dragon." said Isaac as his monster took out the dragon once again.
Starfire's Life Point: 300-

"With that, I'll end my turn."

"And so the effect of my card now activates." said Starfire as she took 1000 points of damage.
Magical Musketeer Starfire's Life Points: 0-

"Which means she loses." said Applejack.

"Not quite." snickered Starfire. Soon a presence appeared behind her as it started to take shape; the shadowy presence then became clearer as it was revealed to be a monster that looked like an idol. "The card that I had in my hand was none other than Infernity Zero, if my life points become 0 by way of effect damage, I can special summon this from my hand. Furthermore, while I control this card, it can't be destroyed and I remain in the duel."

"That's unfair." said Sunset.

"Well, there is a draw back. For every 500 points of damage that I take, I gain a Doom Counter, should I get 3 then I lose the duel." said Starfire.

"So this duel is literally whoever can deal the final blow." stated Sunset.

"Quite fitting given we're in the Wild West. Now then..."

Turn 15: Starfire

"I believe it's my turn." said Starfire as she drew her card. "And so now I summon Infernity Necromancer(0/2000) and since I did, I can switch it to defense mode. But like always, since I control no cards in my hand, I can activate my Necromancer's effect to bring back my Infernity Doom Dragon! And don't forget due to my Wave-Motion Zero, all of my Infernity monsters gain 400 attack and defense points. So now I'll have my Infernity Doom Dragon take out your Magician's Valkyria." stated Starfire as her dragon too out Isaac's monster.

"I end my turn."

Turn 16: Isaac

"This is it, time to bring this duel to a close." said Isaac to himself as he looked at his deck. Nothing in my hand can help me. This next draw, decides it all. Come on! Isaac took a deep breath as he closed his eyes and drew his card. "Now, I'll activate the effect of Eternal Soul and with it, I can bring back my Dark Magician."

"What are you planning?" asked Magical Musketeer Starfire.

"You're about to see. Cause now, I play Monster Reborn to bring back my Mage Annette." said Isaac as he had one of his smaller magicians appear.

"I don't have a lick of sense what you're doing?" stated Starfire.

"If you remember that when Mage Annette is special summoned, I get to draw a card." Isaac then picked up another card as he could feel its presence. Soon the sky started to turn a bit dark. "The time is now, I tribute my Mage Annette, Dark Magician Girl and Dark Magician... so that I can call upon Slifer, the Sky Dragon!" shouted Isaac as a pillar of light came crashing down and there was his great beast.

"Woah, nelly!" said Applejack as she was taken aback by the size of the creature that laid before her.

"You dragon is still weaker than mines."

"True, but if you recall, that when I summoned my Dark Magician Of Chaos, he allowed me to return a card back to my hand. Well the card I brought back was my Card of Sanctity. So now we each draw till we're holding 6 cards in our hand. And that means Slifer's attack points raise up to 6000!"

"No!! If that happens?!" Magical Musketeer Starfire now had her eyes widen as she realized the situation.

"Now... Slifer end this duel with your Thunderforce Attack!!!" said Isaac as he thrusted his arm out. Slifer then opened its mouth as it unleashed a powerful attack that wiped out the entire field as well as Starfire's entire gang.
Magical Musketeer Starfire's Life Points: 0-

Winner: Isaac

The dust settled as there wasn't anything left from the ragtag gang. Isaac then let out a sigh as he sat down on his hind. He took off the duel disk as it short circuited.

"Gotta say whoever came up with this design as a duel disk is a genius." said Isaac.

"Nice shootin', Tex." stated Applejack.

"I think we can call this mission a success." said Sunset.

Soon the three of them heard some cheers as they looked back at the town and saw everypony congratulating them on saving the town.

"Thanks for helpin' us to get rid of them rascals." said Braeburn as he extended his hoof out.

"It was our pleasure." said Isaac as he shook the stallion's hoof.

The rest of the day was spent tracking down the thief's hideout as it wasn't too far from the town. Soon everypony had their belongings returned to them as gave the three ponies their gratitude. With that they decided to have a special hoedown to celebrate their town from being free from those dastards and to say thanks to our heroes. It was one rowdy party as it was filled with dancing, singing, and some good old fashioned apple cider.

"Hey, Isaac. I'm going to step out for a bit." said Sunset as she wanted to get some fresh air.

"Alright." said Isaac.

Sunset then made her way through the crowd as found herself outside of the building. She then began to walk as she wanted sometime with her thoughts.

"Man, this has been one heck of an adventure. To think we actually did it. And now it's time for us to leave. Going to miss Equestria, but it was nice to see my old home." smiled Sunset as she looked at the night sky.

Sunset then heard something as she quickly turned around. Her eyes focused on what was in front of her as her ears flicked. Soon a shadowy figure appeared as it started to blast some magic at her. Sunset was able to dodge and countered with some magic of her own as the figure got out of the way. They traded some blasts for a bit when the figure disappeared into the shadows. Sunset then closed her eyes as she focused on trying to hear the mysterious figure. She concentrated and soon she heard a noise as she blasted to her right. She found her target, but it was the wrong one as she blasted a can; the plan worked as the shadowy appeared behind her and as quick as it could blasted Sunset with its magic that it knocked her out.

The figure then slowly stepped forward into the moonlight as it was revealed to be a pony based on its size and shape. They then took off the hood as they looked at the Sunset's unconscious body.

"I swore I would have my revenge. I'm still shocked that she was able to foil my plan. But a good villain always has an insurance policy." The pony then pulled out a canister as it held a shadowy substance. "I promised you that I would give you a host, and so Tantabus. Let your power take control of her mind." said the figure as they released the thing inside the container and it started to enter Sunset's mind as it was starting to corrupt her.

Isaac was busying watching the party when he was approached by Applejack.

"Isaac, you need to come now!" said Applejack in a frantic voice.

"What's going on?!" asked Isaac.

"It's Sunset." mentioned Aj as it was enough for Isaac to run after her.

The pair made their way outside as Applejack led him to where she wanted. Isaac got there and he was shocked by what he saw, lying there on the ground was none other than Sunset's duel disk. Isaac then grabbed it with his magic as he begin to examine it and saw that her deck was still inside.

"This doesn't make any sense. Sunset would never leave her cards, let alone her Red-Eyes B. Dragon. Where is she?" asked Isaac as he looked at Applejack.

"She's gone. Someone left this note." said Applejack as she handed it to Isaac who began to read it.

"I've captured your friend and she is now under my control. Consider this even for foiling my plan. Say goodbye to what's left of this land. Cause they'll be nothing left once I'm done." said the note.

Isaac then crumbled up the note as he felt the anger burn inside of him. "Sunset is gone. This is all my fault!"

"We'll find her, sugarcube. And we'll save her too." stated Applejack as she approached Isaac and hugged the colt to calm him down.

Isaac felt himself getting anger that his friend was captured and now she was under some mind control that he let it out.

"Sunsetttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!" shouted Isaac as his scream echoed into the night.

Talk about a twist at the end. Seems this adventure isn't quite done yet.
