Chapter 144: Beauty and Brawn

"Ladies and gentleman, in a heart-pounding duel full of twists and turns. The winner is none other than... Fluttershy!" shouted Celestia as she addressed the audience and the people watching at home.

"I dare say that match could have gone either way, both duelists pulled the very best in each other. There were times when even I was on the edge of my seat and found myself rooting for both competitors." stated Luna.

"But in the end, Fluttershy was able to show her student why she is the teacher and will now get one step closer to potentially winning this tournament and challenging Isaac at the Fall Formal." said Celestia. She then told the camera crew to cut the camera as they were given another break.

"Meow." said Tigre as she was happy Fluttershy won.

"Alright, she made through the first round. I'll give her that." said Spike. "She's still ain't going to win. I'm sticking with Twilight." With that both pets decided to take a quick bathroom break as the TV was playing some ads.

Fluttershy was sitting on the bench as the others congratulated her on her win. They all then left to the refreshment table as they left the buttercup girl with her thoughts. She then looked at her duel disk as she took out her deck and spreaded out her cards in her hands.

"Thank you, everyone. I couldn't have done it without you." said Fluttershy as she thanked her animal friends.

"You were awesome out there." came a voice from behind her.

"Huh?!" said Fluttershy as she was caught offguard as she nearly dropped her cards. "Oh, my gosh. Oh... it's only you, Isaac."

"Didn't mean to startle you. But I got to admit, that duel right there. That was the most impressive duel that I've seen you compete in so far. You were in total control from the start, the way you played your monsters, to how you used your spells/traps, and how you perfectly anticipated your opponent's moves. I couldn't look away for a second." smiled Isaac.

"Thanks." said Fluttershy as she blushed at Isaac's compliments.

"You... man, did you show off big time. To think that when you first started, you were afraid. But now look at you, look at you. You made it to the Top 8 of the Fall Formal in the past, and played that duel like a pro. You're definitely someone that everybody should keep their eyes out."

"I appreciate it." said Fluttershy as she still blushed as she hid behind her hair.

"Hey, you did good." said Isaac as he brushed some hair away from her so that he could see Fluttershy's face.

"I just did what you would do. I studied all your old tapes and I tried to the best of my ability to think the way you do. I probably didn't match it to tee, but I think I gave it a good effort."

"I think you're right."

"Besides, I couldn't have done it without my animal pals." said Fluttershy as she lifted her deck in her hand. "They helped me to secure my victory."

"I'm sure they're proud as well." said Isaac as he placed his hand over Fluttershy's hand that held her deck as they looked at each other's eyes.

Soon the magic that flowed between the two did a few small swirls as it entered Fluttershy's deck. Then a few of Fluttershy's animals came out as they appeared in front of their beloved princess as they nuzzled against her to show their love and admiration for their master. Isaac just smiled at how Fluttershy bonded with her animals, he was too distracted that he failed to notice that Fluttershy's Valerifawn, Mystical Beast of the Forest had pranced around behind him. The little deer sensed the smell coming from both Isaac and Fluttershy as it smiled and bumped Isaac as he went forward. Thunder Unicorn appeared behind Fluttershy as it nuzzled her as he too smelled the same scent and bumped his princess forward. Soon both collided as Isaac caught Fluttershy and were holding one another in each other's arms.

Both immediately turned red from how dangerous close their faces were to each other. They looked away as the silence intensified the awkwardness of the position they found themselves in. Soon the rest of the small animals all gather around the young couple as they had smiles on their faces as they waited for it to happen. Isaac and Fluttershy knew what the animals were expecting as they just continued to blush and smile; Isaac then brought his right hand up and moved some more of Fluttershy's hair out of her face as he eventually brought it to cusp her cheek. Fluttershy closed her eyes for a second as she enjoyed Isaac's touch. She then cusped his face and then eventually leaned in as brought her lips to meet Isaac's as he too leaned into it. He then wrapped his arms around the shy girl as he held her and Fluttershy was putting more into the kiss. The animals all gave happy noises at seeing their princess get her fairy tale moment. It lasted for a few moments, as they pulled apart and looked at each other.

"Well... I... think I need to go." said Isaac as he broke from Fluttershy's embrace. "Good luck in the next round." Isaac then sidestepped the animals in his path as he walked away.

"Thanks." said Fluttershy to herself as she watched Isaac leave as her heart fluttered a bit. She then turned to address her animals pals. "Why did you guys do that?!" asked Fluttershy as she felt embarrassed on what her animals pals just did. They all let out collective sounds as she understood them and eventually they all returned back into her deck.

Bryant was looking over his deck as he was taking in the result of the duel.

"Tough break." said Isaac as he now appeared before the boy. "That duel had no clear winner in sight; it could have gone either way."

"Still, I lost. That means I'm out of this tournament."

"Is that what you're really focused on?" said Isaac. "In case you forget, this tournament is for me to see and evaluate your skills on where they currently are. Fluttershy has done well with teaching you. And she had allowed me to see what your next lesson will be. Let me see your deck."

"Sure." said Bryant as he handed his deck to Isaac.

Isaac then took it as he began to examine each of the cards. Given his recent encounter with a certain someone, he could tell how to improve Bryant's deck. He then took out a card as he gave the deck back to the boy as he looked at it.

"This card, where did you get it?" asked Isaac as he was holding Odd-Eyes Advanced Dragon.

"That one? To be honest, this was the first time I played that card. It came with the box when I got my deck, but for some weird reason I nevered used it." said Bryant. "Guess I just didn't think much about it."

"Seems you still need that bond if you want to improve your game." said Isaac as he gave the card back to Bryant. He then pulled out his phone as he was checking something; he then got what he needed as he closed his phone.

"What did you just do?" asked Bryant.

"Let's say that I did something that I believe can help improve your deck even more. Seeing as how you haven't used your Odd-Eyes card, I think it can work if we implent similar cards to your deck so that it can increase in both power and options. Trust me, with your just your Performapals, your deck is going to struggle, so that means it needs to have some variety." said Isaac.

"What are you talking about?" stated Bryant as he didn't understand what Isaac was trying to say.

"You'll understand in time." said Isaac as he patted the boy's shoulder and started to walk away.

"Alright, everybody. We're are now halfway through today's duels. So lets see who else will be moving on and joining the three that have already qualified." said Luna as everybody got back in their seats and got ready.

"Now direct your attention to the screen." said Celestia as she pointed to the titration behind Isaac as the remaining portraits appeared.

The computer then did its job as it began to randomly generate the matchups and calculated every possible outcome. Given that 3 of the slots had already been filled it, safe to say that the remaining participants were now more determined to stake their claim and be the one to earn the right to challenge Isaac. Then it started to slow down as the computer was starting to print out the results. It then stopped on two portraits as they were now enlarged on the screen for all to see.

"The next matchup will feature, Rarity taking on Jack Hunt." said Luna. "Duelists, please report to the field in 2 minutes and for any final changes to your decks."

"Guess, I'm up darlings." said Rarity as she flipped her hair and straighten out her dress.

"Hopefully, I won't get too scared." said Jack as he tighten the glove on his right hand and grabbed his duel disk as he put it on.

Both Rarity and Jack made their way to the dueling field as they stared at one another. Jack looked around him and he was still a bit uncomfortable about being in front of this many people that were mumbling about his scars/burns. Rarity noticed this and tried her best to calm the boy's nerves.

"Darling, cheer up. We're here to put on a good show for these lovely people in attendance. Of course any good drama can't be told with just the leading lady, she needs her leading man to help carry her act out. And seeing as how Isaac can't fulfill that role at the time being, I suppose you could step up." asked Rarity as she batted her eyelashes.

"I'm not sure about the whole 'drama' thing. But I get the gist of what you're trying to say." Jack then took a deep breathe as it caused him to relax a bit. "Okay, I'm ready."

"Splendid, darling." said Rarity as she pulled out her duel disk and slotted in her deck as it projected an indigo card tray. Jack dis the same as he projected a purple card tray.

"Now then both participants are ready, so let the duel... begin!!!" shouted Luna.

"Opponent detected. Streaming data. Duel mode set. Initiating. Commencing duel." said their duel disks.

Jack Hunt's Life Points: 8000-

Rarity's Life Points: 8000-

Turn 1: Rarity

"Ladies first, dear Jack." said Rarity as she drew her card. "I'll play my Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger(1600/1000)." A white tiger with a horn and a collar studded with yellow gems stepped forward as it let out a roar. He then noticed Rarity as he nuzzled his mistress while letting out a soothing purr. "My dear sweet, Topaz. Such a good little kitty, aren't you." stated Rarity as she bent down and petted her cat as he licked her face. "Now, now. We're in the middle of a duel." Topaz understood its mistress command as he returned back to the field.

"Now I play the spell card, Golden Rule. Now I attach it to my Topaz Tiger, then I can place two Level 3 or lower 'Crystal Beast' monsters from my deck and place them in my spell and trap card zone as continuous spell card." Rarity then used her duel disk screen as all of her options came up. She then selected the ones she wanted as she clicked confirm and with a snap of her finger, her cards slid out for her to grab. "I choose to add my Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle and Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat in my spell and trap card zone." A bright orange gemstone with a shadowed form inside it materialized in front of Rarity in a cluster of light orbs. A pale amethyst crystal materialized to Rarity’s right, the shadowed form of a monster inside it. "Then Ruby's effect allows me to special summon it from my spell and trap card zone, so come on out Ruby Carbuncle(300/300) in defense mode.

"Now the last effect of my Golden Rule card is that I can special summon another 'Crystal Beast', this time from my hand. So join us my Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth(1700/1600)." Within the rays of light appeared a small purple quadruple with large red eyes and a round red gem on its tail. It jumped down in front of Rarity and mewled. Rarity smirked. “When Ruby Carbuncle is special summoned, all of my crystallized Crystal Beasts in the spell and trap zone are released! Amethyst Cat(1200/400), I summon you!”

Ruby Carbuncle held up its tail and cried. The gemstone on its tail lit up red and shot beams of energy into the yellow and amethyst gems behind it. The gems glowed brightly and shattered. From the orange gem came a large mammoth, a circular amber stone on a crest on its forehead. And from the amethyst gem emerged a lioness as her fur coat was as white as snow with a collar studded amethyst gem as it let out a cry.

"4 monsters? And all on your first turn?" said Jack.

"Exquisite, don't you agree. Now I'll end my turn." said Rarity as she placed a hand on her hip.

Turn 2: Jack

"Alright, time to see what I got." replied Jack as he drew his card. "I summon my Battlin' Boxer Shadow(1800/1400) in attack mode." Out rose a boxing warrior as it had a dark color and wore a blue bandana as its fists were moving fast like a shadow. "Then since I control a 'Battlin Boxer' monster, I can also special summon my Battlin' Boxer Sparrer(1200/1400) in defense mode." This time another boxer appeared but attached to his arms were hitting pads as Battlin' Boxer Shadow started to wail on the pads as Battlin' Boxer Sparrer started to take them and move around.

"Strength, admirable. But you can't just impress a lady with just brawn, darling." said Rarity.

"Then how about this, I overlay both of my Level 4 Battlin' Boxer Shadow and Battlin' Boxer Sparrer in order to build the Overlay Network." Both monsters then changed into dark orbs of light as they levitated in the air for a bit as a portal opened in front of Jack. Soon they entered the portal as they combined together and a pillar of light emerged. "I Xyz Summon, Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke(2200/2000, OLU: 2)!" Out came a warrior as he had his fists wrapped in chains and carried some metal pillars that weighted down his shoulders.

"Still relying on brawn to solve your problems?" taunted Rarity.

"What do you mean?" asked Jack.

"Darling, it's quite simple. Your monsters are strong, but strength can only take them so far, you need to find the beauty in things. You can have substance, but without a little flair to make them stand out, they won't do much." offered Rarity.

"I... don't know how to respond to that. I'm just going to attack. So Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke attack her Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat!" shouted Jack as his monster raised his right fist and looked to strike a deadly blow.

"Tisk, tisk, darling. Amber Mammoth, do your thing." said Rarity as she snapped her fingers. Amber Mammoth then stepped in front of Amethyst Cat as he raised his trunk and took the attack from Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke as they both collided. Amber Mammoth did his best as he tried to protect his comrades as soon he the attack died down and he shattered into particles that soon reformed back into an orange jewel.
Rarity's Life Points: 7500-

"What gives? Why did my monster attack your mammoth?" asked Jack as he was all sorts of confused.

"Allow me to explain, dear. My Crystal Beasts are more than just good-looking, they're poise, deadly, stylish, dominant, but more importantly, they look out for one another. Just like my Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth did, see when another 'Crystal Beast' monster is on my field and targeted for an attack. My Amber Mammoth can step in like the hero he is and take the attack, such a big, strong, and caring monster. Don't you think?" said Rarity as she flipped her hair.

"Then what's that on your field?" said Jack as he pointed to the strange orange gem that appeared when Rarity's mammoth was destroyed.

"Darling, ever hear of the expression: 'Jewelry is a girl's best friend'. See my Crystal Beasts give me the option of placing them in spell and trap card zone as continuous spell cards instead of sending them to the graveyard. I do love gems that both fashionable and functional."

"Great." said Jack with a groan. So basically, Rarity keeps her monsters but the downside is that they take up her backrow. Maybe I can use that to my advantage.

"I'll set one card facedown and end my turn."

Turn 3: Rarity

"My draw." said Rarity as she did a quick twirl while drawing her card. "Now I play the continuous spell card, Crystal Tree." Soon a small tree started to sprout out on Rarity's field as it was colored blue.

"Looks more like a twig to me." said Jack.

"Sometimes beauty is in the eye of the beholder, to me this tree is just as beautiful as my monsters. But it's also efficient. Now I play Crystal Promise so that I can special summon my Amber Mammoth back into play." Once more the orange jewel started to crack as out came Rarity's pachyderm as it let out a trumpet sound before going into defense mode.

"You may have gotten your mammoth back, but none of your monsters are strong enough to take down my Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke." stated Jack.

"Which is why I'm using another one of my Crystal Beasts' special ability. By lowering my Amethyst Cat to half her attack points, she's allowed to attack you directly." said Rarity. "Go get him, my kitty." Amethyst Cat then lunged forward as it locked its eyes on Jack like he was a piece of meat.

"Wait, hold on!" shouted Jack as he was pinned down by Rarity's cat as she growled in his face as her teeth shown. Jack was now scared for his life. Amethyst then raised her paw as she brought it down on Jack's upper shoulder as she signaled her attack. She then got off of her prey and then gave a snarl as she made her way to Rarity.
Jack's Life Points: 7400-

"Oh, Amethyst. Such a good little kitty. You're too adorable." said Rarity as she started to pet her sleek and beautiful fur to which she enjoyed it as she nuzzled against her mistress' touch.

"Ow." said Jack as he sat up and rubbed his shoulder as the pain was soon all gone.

"I think I'll end my turn."

Turn 4: Jack

"My draw, and I'll summon Battlin' Boxer Rabbit Puncher(800/1000) in attack mode." Out came another fighter as it bounced around on its legs like a rabbit. "Now time to attack, Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke do your thing." said Jack.

"Once again, my Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth's special ability activates. So now he takes the hit." stated Rarity as her mammoth stepped in front as it once again collided with Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke as it blocked the fist with his trunk. It then shattered and transformed back into an orange gem as the tree on Rarity's field started to glow as a fruit appeared.

"Thank you for that, darling. You're quite charming for helping a lady in her time of need." said Rarity in a dramatic voice as she put her hand to her forehead.

"What?" asked Jack.

"Remember when I play my Crystal Tree last turn, well it has an effect. Whenever one of my Crystal Beasts in placed in my spell and trap card zone, my tree grows a fruit. Then if I send my tree, how ever many fruits are on there, I can place that many 'Crystal Beast' monsters from my deck in my spell and trap card zone."

"How am I suppose to know that?" said Jack. "I'll end my turn."

Turn 5: Rarity

"My draw, and now I play my E - Force spell card so that I can summon one of my 'Crystal Beast' from my spell and trap card zone. So here comes Amber Mammoth." The orange jewel now started to crack and when it did the ground was actually shaking. Soon it busted open as there stood Rarity's massive mammoth as he let out a trumpet before taking a dominant position.

"Not this again." said Jack.

"And it's about to get worse, cause now I play my M Force spell card and give my Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger an extra 500 attack points until the end of the turn." Topaz Tiger felt the power up as his strength rose up to 2100. "Now Tiger attack Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke."

"My monster beats yours by 100." informed Jack.

"Let me inform you, of my Topaz Tiger's special ability. You see when it attacks a monster, it gains 400 more attack points. Add that to the 500 extra points I gave him earlier and his total strength is 2500." said Rarity as her tiger got even stronger as it leaped high into the air and looked to take down Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke.

"Your monster's not the only one with a special ability, I activate the effect of my Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke. By using one overlay unit, my monster can survive the attack and then it gains 800 more attack points." Jack then had his monster absorbed an Xyz material as it brought its fist up as it blocked Topaz Tiger's assault as they collided.
Jack's Life Points: 7100-

"Not bad, darling. But I still have more attacks to dish out. Amber Mammoth take out that Battlin' Boxer Rabbit Puncher." Amber Mammoth heard its mistress' orders as he charged forward and started to rush Rabbit Puncher. He was now towering over the monster as he brought his foot down on the monster who let out a cartoonish expression and was flatten like a pancake as he stuck to the ground before disappearing into particles.
Jack's Life Points: 6200-

"And don't forget about my Amethyst Cat's effect, I can attack you directly by cutting her attack points in half." said Rarity as she flipped her hair and pointed at Jack as her cat rushed over. She then tackled Jack to the ground again as she scratched his other shoulder as he felt pain for a few moments before it was gone.
Jack's Life Points: 5600-

"I'll end my turn."

Turn 6: Jack

"My draw, so watch out." Jack drew his card and looked at it. This could help, but is it the right time? Last time, I played the card, I restricted myself which backfired really hard. "I summon my Battlin' Boxer Glassjaw(2000/0)." Out came a buff boxer as it had tons of muscle as it did a rapid flurry of punches to show off its power. "Now I'll reveal my facedown, Dust Tornado. So now I can destroy your Crystal Tree." A giant tornado then blew over as it created a huge wind effect as Rarity put her hands up to protect her hair from getting damaged. Her tree was then plucked out from the ground as it went flying and the fruit on the tree dropped to the floor and shattered as the tree itself broke apart.

"Now my trap allows me to set a spell or trap card from my hand." Best to just play this facedown. Jack then had a card materialized in front of him. "Now to attack, Battlin' Boxer Glassjaw attack her Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth." stated Jack as his monster rushed forward and with a heavy right was able to take Amber Mammoth off his feet which shocked the monster himself as he was thrown high into the air and soon came crashing down as he created a hole in the ground in front of Rarity as he shattered and turned into an orange jewel.
Rarity's Life Points: 7200-

"Now time to deal some real damage. Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke attack Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger." shouted Jack as his monster raised his right fist and hit Topaz Tiger hard that he was shattered upon contact as he materialized into a yellow jewel.
Rarity's Life Points: 5800-

"With that the score is now even." smiled Jack. "And the effect of your Golden Rule now activates since it was equipped to your Topaz Tiger, it was destroyed and that means the monster that was used to summon it is also destroyed. So your Ruby Carbuncle is also gone."

Ruby Carbuncle then was shattered as it too formed another jewel for Rarity as it appeared in her spell and trap card zone. Now she had a total of three gems in her backrow as the only monster that remained on her field was her Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat.

"Not bad, so I'll lay a card facedown and end my turn."

Turn 7: Rarity

"Marvelous, darling. Now then," said Rarity as she drew her card, "To start, I'll play my Rare Value spell card. See darling, I may be fabulous, but I also have a generous heart. And this spell exemplifies that, see this allows me to draw two cards, but the price is that I must send one of my Crystal Beasts in my spell and trap card zone to the graveyard. But the choice is yours." said Rarity as she batted her eyelashes at Jack.

"My choice? You're joking?" said Jack. Why would Rarity do that?

"Well, darling. Don't keep a lady waiting, what's your decision?"

Well the logical choice would be to send Ruby Carbuncle to the grave. That way, Rarity can't summon back her monsters. But she knows that, so does she expect me to pick that? Or does she have something else planned?

"Jackie, dear. Hesitant is something that a girl is not a fan of, you need to be confident in your choices. That way you're sure to attract more eyes, so..." asked Rarity as she crossed her arms.

"I... choose your Ruby Carbuncle." stated Jack as Rarity's red gem was sent off to the graveyard.

"Very well." informed Rarity as she drew her cards. "I think we need a change in scenario, darling. Something more flamboyant and with a bit pizazz. I play the field spell, Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins." Rarity activated her card as the entire field was now changing both her and Jack found themselves in an arena as everybody else was now in the seats of the stadium. "While it may be in ruins, it does give me a strong presence. Pay attention, Jackie. My field spell allows me to have several things based on the number of 'Crystal Beasts' in my spell and trap card zone. But first, I'll summon my Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus(1800/1200)." A blue gemstone appeared in front of Rarity and shattered, a winged white horse flying out of the shards. “When my pegasus is summoned, I can place a Crystal Beast monster from my hand, deck, or graveyard in the spell and trap zone.” Another card ejected from her deck into her fingers. "I'll place Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle in play." A shining cobalt rock appeared in another slot of Rarity's spell and trap card zone.

"I may not be able to take down your monsters yet, but I can still get to your life points. Amethyst Cat, time to play again." said Rarity in a cheerfully voice.

"No, not again!" shouted Jack as he had enough of being treated as a squeak toy for Rarity's cat. Just as he looked to run away, Amethyst Cat had lunged forward and bit Jack in his behind.
Jack's Life Points: 5000-

"Ow!!!" shouted Jack as he fell over and felt the pain of Rarity's cat.

Amethyst Cat then made her way back to Rarity who just gave her a pat on the head and a scratch behind the ears. "Who's a good little kitty? You are." said Rarity as she showered her monster with affection.

"I hate cats!" shouted Jack as he rubbed his behind.

"Darling, watch what you say. Or else, I'll really let my cat have some fun. Now then, I'll end my turn."

Turn 8: Jack

"Then it's back to me." said Jack. "Since I control a 'Battlin' Boxer', I can special summon once again my Battlin' Boxer Sparrer. Then I summon Battlin' Boxer Switchitter(1500/1400)." Jack now had three fighters on his field as he looked to take the lead in this duel. "Now Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke attack her Sapphire Pegasus." shouted Jack as his monster raised its fist and took out Sapphire Pegasus with ease.
Rarity's Life Points: 5600-

"Now Battlin' Boxer Switchitter attack her Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat." Switchitter then unleased a devasting one-two combo as he managed to KO Rarity's cat as it was changed into a crystal and filled up the last slot of her spell and trap card zone.
Rarity's Life Points: 5300-

Now Battlin' Boxer Sparrer attack Rarity directly!" shouted Jack as his monster rushed over in a rapid speed and looked to hit the girl.

"Such a brute! Now allow me to demonstrate one of the effects of my Ancient City - Rainbow Ruin. Since I have at least 2 'Crystal Beast' monsters in my spell and trap card zone, once per turn, I can half the battle damage that I receive." stated Rarity. Soon the power of her jewels shot out colored energies as they affected Battlin' Boxer Sparrer as he lost some strength as he hit Rarity.
Rarity's Life Points: 4700-

"You may have reduced the damage, but now your entire backrow is filled up. Which means you can't play any spells or trap cards." informed Jack. "So I'll end my turn."

Turn 9: Rarity

"My draw, my backrow may be filled up, but it won't be for long. First since I have at least 4 'Crystal Beast' monsters in my spell and trap card zone, I can draw an extra card." said Rarity as she drew another card. "Now I'll activate another one of my field spell abilities, since it has 5 'Crystal Beast' monsters in my spell and trap card zone, I can summon one of them. So I choose to summon out my Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus." Once more Rarity, had her monster appear as it spread its wings and let out a neigh.

"And the effect of my Sapphire Pegasus activates, since it was summoned, I can place a 'Crystal Beast' from my hand, deck, or graveyard into my spell and trap card zone. And I think I'll choose this one, my Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise(800/2000) in defense mode!" said Rarity. Out came a green jewel as it occupied the last of Rarity's spell and trap card slot. "Now Sapphire Pegasus attack Battlin Boxer Sparrer!" commanded Rarity as her monster took flight and used its wings to create a wing effect that took out Jack's monster.
Jack's Life Points: 4600-

Once again, both of them are even. Isaac had been watching this duel with much intensity as it was similar to how Fluttershy and Bryant's duel was in that both of them were playing smart and effectively.

"I'll then end my turn." said Rarity with a bit of disdain her voice given her current situation.

Turn 10: Jack

"My turn, now Battin' Boxer Lead Yoke attack Sapphire Pegasus!" shouted Jack as his monster took out Rarity's monster.
Rarity's Life Points: 3500-

"Next up, I reveal one of my facedowns, Flaming Knockout. Since a 'Battlin Boxer' monster of mine destroyed a monster in battle and sent it to the graveyard, I can then deal you damage equal to its attack points. So you're about to lose 1800 more life points." informed Jack.
Rarity's Life Point: 1700-

"And I still have another monster to deal you damage with. Battlin' Boxer Switchitter, attack Rarity directly!" commanded Jack.

"Once more, I activate another effect of my field spell, since I have 2 'Crystal Beast' monsters in my graveyard, I can cut the battle damage in half." Once more Rarity was able to reduce the amount of damage she took as she did her best to avoid falling over as her heels dug deep into the grass as she dropped to a knee.
Rarity's Life Points: 950-

"Very well, in that case, I'll end my turn."

Turn 11: Rarity

"My draw," said Rarity as she got up and got rid of the dirt on her knee as she had a disgusted look on her face, "I'll activate the effect of my field spell, since I have 4 'Crystal Beasts' in my spell and trap card zone, I can draw an extra card." Rarity drew her card as she was hoping for a game changer. "I'll then activate the other effect of my field spell, since I have at least 5 'Crystal Beast' in my spell and trap card zone, then I can summon one of them to my field. So I release my Topaz Tiger." said Rarity as her tiger was now on her field. "I'll then lay one card facedown and end my turn."

Turn 12: Jack

"It's my turn, and I'll attack your Topaz Tiger with my Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke to end this duel!" shouted Jack.

"I reveal my facedown, Rainbow Gravity!" shouted Rarity.

"In that case, I'll activate my facedown, Psychic Shockwave, so I'll send a trap card from my hand so that I can summon my Jinzo." said Jack.

"Like I'd let that happen, I activate the effect of my Ancient City once more. Since I have at least 3 'Crystal Beast' in my spell and trap card zone, by sending one 'Crystal Beast' on my field, I can negate and destroy one spell/trap. I send my Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger to the graveyard so that I can negate the activate of your trap and then destroy it all together." shouted Rarity as she had managed to avoid summoning Jack's powerful monster.

Rarity’s card flipped up and lit up in white light. Streams of light in the colors of the rainbow rose into the air. It reached the clouds and let out a wave of multicolored light across them. Rarity smiled and closed her eyes. "When I gather all seven Crystal Beasts, the greatest light in history resurrects! Meet the all powerful, Rainbow Dragon(4000/0)!" The light in the air above them shone brighter, the silhouette of a long, serpentine dragon appearing within it. With the sound of a mighty roar the light cracked and broke apart. From the shards came a giant white and gold dragon in a rainbow aura, massive white wings spreading into the air, gemstones in seven colors embedded in its scales. It descended behind Rarity and coiled in the air above her, glaring at Jack with golden eyes beneath a crested helmet of white and gold.

"Incredible." said Jack as he too in the sight of Rarity's great beast.

"Now the other effect of my Rainbow Gravity forces your monsters to attack my Rainbow Dragon. So if you want to get to my life points, you'll have to get past my beautiful dragon." stated Rarity. Rainbow Dragon then stepped in front of Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke as they looked to collide.

"I activate the effect of my Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke, so I remove his last overlay unit so that he can survive the attack and then raise his attack points by 800." informed Jack as he used his last Xyz material to protect his monster as he broke free from his other chain and put both arms up to cover himself.

"Perhaps, but your Battlin' Boxer Switchitter still has to attack my Rainbow Dragon." stated Rarity as Jack's other monster leaped into the air and looked to confront Rainbow Dragon. It then looked to hit Rainbow Dragon, but it opened its mouth and blasted Battlin' Boxer Switchitter as it was destroyed.

"I'll play Pot of Greed and draw 2 cards. I'll then set two cards facedown and end my turn." informed Jack.

Turn 13: Rarity

"My draw!" shouted Rarity as she drew her card. "Seems we've reached the end of this dramatic performance and so the curtain must fall. But not before the leading lady has her final soliloquy." said Rarity in her drama queen voice while putting the back of her hand on her forehead.

"Isn't soliloquy suppose to be you speaking aloud when there's no one around you?" asked Jack as he was confused by Rarity's statement.

"Hush, darling. You know what I mean." She turned the card over, looked at it, and held it out. “I activate the spell card, Crystal Overfusion!” Rays of violet light shone from Rarity’s card. Above her in the air, the images of Sapphire Pegasus, Ruby Carbuncle, and Topaz Tiger appeared. In front of her, the crystallized forms of Amber Mammoth, Cobalt Eagle, Amethyst Cat, and Emerald Tortoise began to crack apart, glowing the same light. Rarity’s voice echoed as she spoke. “By banishing Crystal Beast cards in my graveyard and on my field, either as monsters or as spell cards, I conduct a Fusion Summon!” The crystallized monsters shattered, and the shards rose into the air, swirling around each other in a sphere. Rarity slid her card into her duel disk and a ray of seven-colored light shot up into the sky, engulfing the gem dust and lifting it into the clouds. The clouds twisted and swirled around each other, white light flashing within.

Rarity put a hand over her duel disk. “By combining the lights of the seven gems, I create the bridge to a new future and summon forth a crystal guardian like no other! I Fusion Summon! Descend, Rainbow Overdragon(4000/0)!” The clouds parted and Rarity’s new monster slowly lowered from above them. A massive white and gold dragon, even larger than Rainbow Dragon, spread its wings across the field and raised its head, eyes glowing white beneath a gold and silver horned crest. Its stomach was shining violet scales, light in seven colors pulsing within them. It hovered above Rarity and roared, the force shaking the field.

"Two dragons?" said Jack as he was staring at the face of Rarity's great beasts as they looked to grant the win for their mistress.

"Indeed and both have 4000 attack points. Which is more than enough to take out your monster and end this duel." said Rarity. "But I won't attack... at least not now." She then pointed at Jack's field. "It would be foolish of me to just ignore the cards you previous set on your turn, I may not know what they are, but I know you must be planning on using them to either protect your monster, or possibly destroy mines. So that alone means that if I were to attack foolishly, I would stand to lose more than to gain."

"Go on." said Jack as he wanted to hear Rarity's explanation.

"You're a sweet young man, Jack. And for those scars of yours, well they do add a certain charm towards you." smiled Rarity as she gave the young man a wink. "But I have a duel to win, and date to keep with Isaac. So now... I activate Rainbow Overdragon’s special ability! By offering it as tribute, all other cards on the field are shuffled back into the deck!”

Jack’s jaw dropped. “What?!!!”

Rainbow Overdragon spread its wings. Jack’s Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke lit up in seven-colored light and squawked as it was drawn across the field. Jack turned his head as the Battlin Boxer Lead Yoke behind him condensed; when the two forms were close enough, Rainbow Overdragon swept its wings around them and bowed its head. Sparks crackled over its wings and the dragon dissolved, Jack’s cards vanished from within its grasp.

Rarity then reached to her duel disk as a card ejected from her graveyard slot, and she held it up. “I activate the effect of Crystal Overfusion in my graveyard. By banishing it when the monster it summoned leaves the field, I can search my deck, hand, graveyard, or banished zone, for a 'Rainbow Dragon' card, and summon it.” With a shimmer of purple light over it, Crystal Overfusion in Rarity’s hand transformed into Rainbow Dragon. “Return to me, Rainbow Dragon!!!” The vanishing particles of Rainbow Overdragon came together behind her and formed into the visage of Rainbow Dragon, the beast roaring proudly.

"Oh no! If she attacks, I'm a goner!" said Jack as he realized that he had nothing on his field to save him.

She spun in place, hand brought back over her shoulder, and thrust it out, her clothing and hair sweeping in her wake. “Rainbow Dragon, attack Jack directly!” Rainbow Dragon opened its jaws as it summoned energy from the seven gemstones in its scales. It thrust its head forward and fired a beam of searing light. Jack grit his teeth and closed his eyes as the attack struck him.
