Chapter 149: Girl Power
"Once again this tournament continues to provide us with some unexpected results. The winner of the second duel of the quarterfinal round is Fluttershy!" stated Celestia as the crowd and the other students in attendance gave an applause.
"And now we are half way to determining the participants on who will move on to the next round." Luna then pointed at the screen behind Isaac's throne chair as up on the screen were four slots. Two of them were already filled in with Penny's and Fluttershy's portrait. Next to them were two more spots that were blocked out as the four remaining duelists who had yet to battle were now under them.
"Now then, as usual we'll take a quick break to give the competitors some time to breath." informed Celestia.
Amber was now sitting down on a bench as she looking at her duel disk and couldn't help but gently slam her fist on the bench.
"You throwing a fit? Isn't that a 'child' thing to do?" said Isaac with a smug look on his voice as he approached Amber.
"I'll have you know that I'm just letting out some anger. And I thought you of all people wouldn't treat me like a child, professor." said Amber as she addressed Isaac.
"Hey, now. I'm not doing that, I just wanted to check up on you." said Isaac. "How you holding up?"
"Alright, nothing hurt but my pride. I thought I could beat her." said Amber as she put her head down.
Isaac then bent down till he was at eye level with Amber as he grabbed her chin and slowly lifted her head up to look at the young teen girl. "Did the new cards work?" asked Isaac.
"Let me guess, you put them in my deck when I wasn't looking." answered Amber.
"Maybe, maybe not. Look Amber, what you did out there shows that despite your age, you clearly have a strong mindset. You said so yourself, you nearly beat Fluttershy. I doubt anybody who could go toe to toe with her would think of you as an 'infant'." stated Isaac. "Your skills are good, and your deck is strong. But there's no shame in admitting when you don't know about something. You pride yourself on proving to others that you're not a child based on your hard work and grades; but in life, no matter how much you read and prepare, there are somethings that just don't follow that logic. What I'm trying to say is that there's always more to learn, don't think just because you know alot of stuff means that you have the answer to everything."
"I see your point, professor. But it's just all my life, people have this notion that draws them to treat me like a kid. I just hope that one day they can see that I'm quite capable of doing things on my own and I don't need to rely on someone." stated Amber.
"Then it's a good thing that I've got someone who's going to help you get there." said Isaac as he was referring to Rarity. "Now then, rest up and enjoy the rest of the tournament."
"I will and thanks, Isaac." stated Amber as she gave her professor a quick hug as he was still on one knee. Isaac returned the embrace from the girl as it lasted for a few moments before she broke apart and stood up from the bench as she went to mingle with the others.
"Seems there's alot more for me and Rarity to teach young Amber. Well, really all of the students still have a lot to learn." Isaac just let out a heartwarming smile as he said his thought out loud. He quickly looked at his watch and saw that it was about time to start the next round, so he quickly adjusted his cap and fixed his necklace as he made his way back to the podium that his chair was on.
"Alright, you're still in this bet." stated Spike as he addressed Tigre.
"Meow." said Tigre.
"That'll be the day!" shouted Spike as he couldn't believe that Tigre was wanting him to admit that cats are better than dogs.
"Meow." stated Opal as she backed up her fellow feline friend.
"Let's just get back to watching the duels!" stated Spike as he mumbled under his breath while the cats just snickered and laughed. The other pets just let out their respective animal sounds as they all turned their attention back to the TV screen.
"Now then, we hope everybody has had a chance to collect themselves. And so we continue with the third round of the quarterfinal round. So let's get to it!" shouted Celestia as she pointed at the screen behind Isaac as the computer began to generate the results.
Like before the computer took the remaining competitors and began to randomly select the matchups not only for the next round but also for the final duel of the day. Now it made everybody all on edge as they were hesitant to find out who will be facing off in the final 2 duels. Then the screen projected the results as it showed the final 2 matchups.
"And there you have it, up next will be Ms. Rarity Belle taking on Lucky Star. And in the matchup to follow and close the day and the last duel of the quarterfinal round will pit Shadow Moonrise taking on Twilight Sparkle." stated Luna.
"Well, then. I'm up, darlings." said Rarity as she flipped her hair with confidence and grabbed her duel disk as she made her way to the field.
"Time for me to clutch my second win in this tournament." stated Lucky Star as she too made her way out to the field.
Both girls took their position as they looked at each other; they both did a quick glance at Isaac as they were reminded of what was at stake. Both let out the tension in their body as they put their duel disk on with Rarity projecting an indigo card tray while Lucky Star projected a a sage green color. They pulled out their decks and slid it in as their duel disks activated.
"Now... let the duel... begin!!!" shouted Luna.
"Opponent detected. Streaming data. Duel mode set. Initiating. Commencing duel." said their duel disks.

Rarity's Life Points: 8000-
Turn 1: Rarity
"I'll start things off and I'll do it with grace and style." said Rarity as she drew her card. "I'll start by playing my continuous spell card, Crystal Tree." Rarity then played her card on her tray as out on her field out came a small tree that had thin branches. "Now whenever one of my beloved Crystal Beasts are placed in my spell and trap card zone, I can grow a fruit for my tree. Next up, I'll place one card facedown and then summon my Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle(1400/800) in attack mode." A bird with a jeweled collar set with blue crystals and the same crystals embedded in its wings swooped down to perch in front of Rarity.
"I'll end my turn there."
Turn 2: Lucky Star
"Then it's up to me, so stand back." said Lucky Star as she drew her card. "I'll start by activating my own continuous spell card, Alluring Mirror Split." Lucky Star played her card as out on her field appeared a mirror and inside of it was the reflections of all of Lucky Star's monsters. "Next I'll summon my Cyber Harpie Lady(1800/1300)." Out came a female who wore feathers and had sharp claws and talon. Her body was covered in a metal armor compared to her comrades that were covered in feathers.
"Now I'll attack your Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle. Take down that bird!" shouted Lucky Star. Harpy Lady heard the command given by her mistress as she soared high into the air and stayed there like an actual bird circling its prey. It then had its target locked in sights as it came rushing down and unclawed its talons.
"I activate my facedown, Last Resort. I can only activate this when you declare an attack, now I can select one Field spell from my deck and activate it." Rarity's duel disk then slotted out the card for her to grab. "And I'll take this one, my Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins!" Rarity then played her card in the field spell compartment of her duel disk as the entire field was now starting to morph. Just like in her duel with Jack, the entire place around them was now changed to match them in an arena while they were surround by rubble.
"Well, it's not gonna help your monster. It's still destroyed." stated Lucky Star as her monster did a slash. Cobalt Eagle tried to use its feathers to protect itself but it soon met its demise.
Rarity's Life Points: 7600-
"Well, my Crystal Beasts stick around, even in defeat they still look stylish." stated Rarity as a cobalt jewel appeared in one of her spell and trap card zones as a fruit began to grow on the tree.
"I'll then end my turn with a facedown."
Turn 3: Rarity
"My turn, and I'll start by summoning my Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger(1600/1000)." A white tiger with a horn and a collar studded with yellow gems stepped out with a loud roar. "And now I'll have my Topaz Tiger attack your Cyber Harpie Lady!" Rarity's tiger then rushed over as it looked to take down its prey. "My topaz tiger's special ability activates, when it attacks a monster it gains 400 extra attack points. Now my Topaz Tiger has a total of 2000 attack points." Topaz Tiger then leaped high into the air as it looked to take down Cyber Harpy Lady.
"I reveal my facedown, Mirror Wall. Now my trap card cuts your monster's attack in half; looks like your tiger lost some bite." stated Lucky Star as Topaz Tiger soon collided with a wall of crystal as he saw his reflection and instead of the mirror image having cracks, he now had a bite of cracks running along his body as he felt weak.
"Topaz!" shouted Rarity as she saw her monster in pain.
"Not so tough not huh little kitty." said Lucky Star as her wall disappeared as she and her monster were unharmed and had a smirk on their face.
Rarity's Life Points: 6800-
"Topaz, dear. Mama's sorry for making you do that." Rarity then looked at Lucky Star as her monster turned into a yellow gem that occupied another spell/trap zone of Rarity. Her tree then had another fruit grow on its branches. "You'll pay! I end my turn."
Turn 4: Lucky Star
"My turn, and now I'll summon my Harpie Perfumer(1400/1300)." Lucky Star now had another Harpie monster appear as she carried a bottle of perfume in her right claw. "Now when I summon my Harpie Perfumer, I can add 1 spell or trap from my deck that lists 'Harpie Lady Sisters' to my hand." Lucky Star then used her duel disk screen as all her options came up. She then choose the one she wanted as she clicked confirm and it slotted out for her to grab. "Then I'll have my Cyber Harpie Lady attack you directly!"
"I activate the effect of my field spell, since I have at least 2 'Crystal Beast' in my spell and trap card zone, then I cut the battle damage I receive in half." shouted Rarity as she saw the attack coming and put her hands up to protect herself as the spirit of the two crystal beasts appeared and did their job of protecting their mistress from suffering any harm.
Rarity's Life Points: 5900-
Rarity opened her eyes and saw her monsters in their spirit form as they stood in front of her. "Thank you, darlings." smiled Rarity as she addressed her cards as they let out growl and screech as they disappeared.
"Then about this attack. Now Harpie Perfumer attack her directly!" shouted Lucky Star.
Rarity's Life Points: 4500-
"So you managed to hang on a bit longer, no matter. I end my turn."
Turn 5: Rarity
"My turn, and now I'll activate the effect of my Crystal Tree. So by sending it to the graveyard, however many fruit were on it means that I take that same number of 'Crystal Beast' from my deck and place them in my spell and trap zone. So I'll place Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth and Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle." Rarity's duel disk then slotted out her two cards as she placed them in her backrow as a red and amber jewel appeared alongside her other two.
"Trying to make a necklace." taunted Lucky Star.
"You are going to regret saying that remark." said Rarity. "Now I activate the effect of my Ruby Carbuncle, since its in my spell and trap card zone as a continuous spell, I can spell summon it to my field in defense mode." Within the rays of light appeared a small purple quadruple with large red eyes and a round red gem on its tail. It jumped down in front of Rarity and mewled. Rarity smirked. “When Ruby Carbuncle is special summoned, all of my crystallized Crystal Beasts in the spell and trap zone are released! Amber Mammoth(1700/1600), Cobalt Eagle and Topaz Tiger, I summon you!” Ruby Carbuncle held up its tail and cried. The gemstone on its tail lit up red and shot beams of energy into the yellow, bluish-gray, and orange gems behind it. The gems glowed brightly and shattered. From the orange gem came a large mammoth, a circular amber stone on a crest on its forehead. Along with Topaz Tiger and Cobalt Eagle as they let out an animal cry.
"Then I'll play the spell card, Mystical Space Typhoon so that I can blow away your Mirror Wall." stated Rarity. Soon a giant wind then started to blow over the field as it caused Lucky Star's wall to crumble and fall into million of pieces as both girls just stood there with a determined look as their hair blew in the wind. "With your trap now gone, my monsters can now strike, so Topaz Tiger pick up where you left off!" shouted Rarity as she pointed at Cyber Harpie Lady. Topaz Tiger her Rarity's order as he rushed forward. "My tiger gets 400 extra attack points when it attacks a monster, so now it has more than enough to take down your monster." Topaz Tiger then jumped into the air and tackled its prey to the ground and it pinned Cyber Harpie and then unfanged it claws as it went for the head and caused an explosion to happen.
Lucky Star's Life Points: 7800-
"Now the effect of my continuous spell card, Alluring Mirror Spilt activates, since a 'Harpie Lady' was destroyed in battle, I can replace it with a different 'Harpie' monster from my deck. So replacing my Cyber Harpie Lady is Harpie's Pet Dragon(2000//2500)!" stated Lucky Star as she used her duel disk as it slid out for her to grab and then summoned it to the field as it let out a roar.
"Now Amber Mammoth, it's your turn to attack. So strike down her Harpie Perfume." Amber Mammoth then charged forward as the ground shook below it and then raised its trunk as it brought it down on Lucky Star's other monster.
Lucky Star's Life Points: 7500-
"Very well, I'll end my turn with a facedown."
Turn 6: Lucky Star
"Then it's my turn. So I'll start by summoning my Harpie Lady #3(1300/1400). And then I'll activate the spell card, Elegant Egotist. Since 'Harpie Lady' is on the field, I can special summon Harpie Lady Sisters(1950/2100) from my deck." Lucky Star now had her monster be surrounded in a light shower as soon standing next to her was a trio of her fellow sisters as they all took their position next to Harpie's Pet Dragon. "And as you know my dragon gains 300 extra attack and defense points for every 'Harpie Lady' monster on my field. So with my new monster, my dragon gains 300 more attack points making it have a total of 2300 attack points." said Lucky Star as her dragon let out a huge roar.
"I now end my turn."
Turn 7: Rarity
"My draw, and I'll switch all of my Crystal Beasts into defense mode." said Rarity as all of her beasts had now taken a defensive position. "Then I'll end my turn by placing one card facedown." A card then materialized in front of Rarity.
Turn 8: Lucky Star
"That's all? Please." mocked Lucky Star as she drew her card. "First I'll activate the spell card, Hysteric Sign. Now when I activate this card, I can add Elegant Egotist from my graveyard back to my hand." Lucky Star's duel disk then slotted out her spell card as she added it to her hand. "Then I'll summon my Harpie Channeler(1400/1300). And just like my other monsters, Harpie Channeler counts as a 'Harpie Lady' while it's on my field. Which then in turn activates my Harpie's Pet Dragon who gains 300 extra attack and defense points for every 'Harpie Lady' on my field." stated Lucky Star as her dragon had more strength. "Now to take out your monsters, Harpie's Pet Dragon attack her Amber Mammoth!" shouted Lucky Star. Her dragon then opened its mouth as it shot off a fireball that took out Amber Mammoth with ease as an orange gem appeared in Rarity's backrow.
"Now to take the rest of your pets out, Harpie Lady Sisters attack her Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger."
"Hold on, I reveal my facedown, Crystal Raigeki! Now by sending my Amber Mammoth from my spell and trap card, I can destroy one card that you control."
"So what, you plan to get rid of my Harpie Lady Sisters?" asked Lucky Star.
"Not quite, cause I'm choosing to get rid of that foul beast, Harpie's Pet Dragon!" shouted Rarity as she pointed at her target. Soon the power of Rarity's trap card then sent her orange gem to the graveyard as it shot a bolt of thunder down on Harpie's Pet Dragon as it fell victim and was soon blown off the field.
"No! My dragon!" said Lucky Star as she watched her monster get defeated. "You're gonna pay for messing with it. Harpie Lady Sisters, press on!" shouted Lucky Star as her monster took out Rarity's tiger as he too formed into a yellow gem in her backrow.
"Now Harpie Lady #3 is going to take out your Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle!" stated Lucky Star as her other monster brought its claws down on the bird as she slashed it till there was nothing but feather and an bluish-gray jewel appeared next to the yellow one.
"And lastly, Harpie Channeler will take out your Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle." With that Lucky Star had her last monster take out Rarity's remaining beast as Ruby tried to run only of it to get caught in the talons of Harpie Channeler as it pinned down the tiny animals like it was a mouse and she was the predator. She then lifted the tiny thing in her talons and then slammed Ruby into the ground as a small explosion of smoke went off and soon a red gem appeared in Rarity's backrow.
"Lucky for you that your monsters were in defense mode. But I wouldn't get too comfortable, cause this will all be over soon." said the girl as she ended her turn.
Turn 9: Rarity
"My turn and I'll make sure that my monsters' sacrifice wasn't in vain." Just what I needed. "I now play the spell card, Rare Value. With this, I'm going to get more bling for my buck. Cause now since I have at least 2 'Crystal Beasts' in my spell and trap card zone, you choose which one to send to my graveyard and then I can draw 2 cards." stated Rarity. "So which one do you choose, darling?"
"That's easy, your Ruby Carbuncle. It's the one that you rely on the most. So by getting rid of it entirely, I'll stop you in your tracks from summoning your other monsters." said Lucky Star.
"Very well then." said Rarity as the red gem on her field shattered as Rarity sent her monster card to the graveyard as she drew her cards and looked at them. "Seem you made the right choice, only for me to reverse it. Cause now I play this Crystal Blessing, now I can target up to 2 'Crystal Beasts' in my graveyard and then summon them as continuous spell cards in my spell and trap zone." Rarity's duel disk then slotted out her Ruby Carbuncle and Amber Mammoth as she held them and showed them to Lucky Star. "And since my only two are my Ruby Carbuncle and Amber Mammoth then they are what I'm placing in my spell and trap card zone." Once more Rarity now had a red and orange jewels appeared.
"As you know, when my Ruby Carbuncle is in my spell and trap card zone as a continuous spell, then I can special summon it to the field. And when it's special summoned, I can also summon the rest of my Crystal Beasts." Ruby and the others all broke out of their shells as they were now back in play. "Now to battle, Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger attack her Harpie Lady Sisters!" Topaz Tiger raced forward as he powered up from his effect and then took down the trio sisters.
Lucky Star's Life Points: 7450-
"Now the effect of my Alluring Mirror Split activates, since my Harpie Lady Sisters were destroyed, I can now replace them with another monster. So rise up, Harpie Queen(1900/1200)." said Lucky Star as she had managed to summon the leader of her pack of monsters as the queen rose in all of her elegance.
"Now Amber Mammoth it's your turn to take a crack. Attack her Harpie Lady #3." stated Rarity as her mammoth charged forward once more. Harpie Lady #3 saw the huge thing coming her way as she tried to fly away but was soon caught by Amber Mammoth's trunk as he grabbed her right leg and then with a mighty tug started to swing about Lucky Star's monster as he repeated slammed the female monster into the ground and soon did one final grand slam as it left a hole in the ground.
Lucky Star Points: 7050-
"Now the effect of my Harpie Lady #3 activates, any monster that it battles with can't attack for 2 whole turns." informed Lucky Star.
"With that, I'll lay a facedown and end my turn."
Turn 10: Lucky Star
"My turn, and now I'll place one card facedown and summon Phantom Gryphon(2000/0)." Lucky Star now summoned a gryphon onto her field as it let out a cry. "Now Phantom Gryphon attack her Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth!" The new monster then soared high into the air and soon headed towards Amber Mammoth as it used its lion-like strength to take down the giant pachyderm as it tumbled into the ground and left an orange gem in its wake.
Rarity's Life Points: 4200-
"Now Harpie Queen your turn and take out her Topaz Tiger." Once more Lucky Star had her monster soar high into the air as she unfurled her claws and then swooped down toward Topaz Tiger as she did a slash attack that took out Rarity's cat and left a yellow jewel.
Rarity's Life Points: 3900-
"With that I'll end my turn."
Turn 11: Rarity
"Then I'll take over." said Rarity as she drew her card. "Now I summon my Sapphire Pegasus(1800/1200)." A blue gemstone appeared in front of Rarity and shattered, a winged white horse flying out of the shards. “When my pegasus is summoned, I can place a Crystal Beast monster from my deck in the spell and trap zone.” Another card ejected from her deck into her fingers. “I’ll place Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat in my spell and trap card zone." Rarity placed her monster in her backrow as another gem appeared having a reddish purple color tone was shown. "Then I'll play my E Force spell card, so now I can special summon one of my Crystal Beasts from my spell and trap card zone. So Topaz Tiger is on the prowl once more!" Rarity now had her tiger appear as it made another appearance.
"Now time to strike, Topaz Tiger you know what to do." Rarity's tiger heard the command given to him by his mistress as he raced forward and set his sights on Harpie Queen as he gained a power boost and took out the female monster.
Lucky Star's Life Points: 6950-
"Now Sapphire Pegasus take out her Harpie Channeler." Sapphire Pegasus spread its wings and conjured an orb of blue energy and fired the orb across the field, before exploding around Lucky Star.
Lucky Star's Life Points: 6550-
"Now the effect of my Alluring Mirror Split that's still in play activates, so now since a 'Harpie Lady' was destroyed, I can summon a brand new monster to replace it. So rise up Harpie Harpist(1700/600) in attack mode." Out came a brand new harpie as she was playing a harp that she carried with as her claws plucked at the strings and played a gentle melody.
"Then I'll end my turn with a facedown."
Turn 12: Lucky Star
"My turn, now I'll reveal my facedown, Hysteric Party. I now discard a card and then I can special summon as many 'Harpie Lady' monsters in my graveyard." Lucky Star then had her duel disk screen pull up all of her options. "I'll choose to bring back my Cyber Harpie Lady, and Harpie Lady #3! The I'll summon my Harpie Harpist(1700/600)." Lucky Star now had three monsters appear on her field as it was now full of monsters.
"I don't like the looks of this." said Rarity as she examined the sight before her.
"Indeed, cause now I overlay my Harpie Lady #3, Harpie Harpist and Harpie Channeler to build the Overlay Network!" Lucky Star's three monsters then changed into orbs of light as they levitated into the air. Soon a portal opened in front of her as all three little orbs then were sucked into the portal as they combined together and a pillar of light emerged. "I Xyz summon, Harpies Pet Phantasmal Dragon(2000/2500, OLU: 3)!" Out emerged a fierce looking dragon as it had a chain wrapped around its neck as it let out a roar.
"Well now, that's a beast I don't want to get acquainted with." stated Rarity as she was looking at the dragon.
"My dragon may be weak, but you should really worry about its special ability. As long as it has overlay units, then you can't target my 'Harpie' monsters with effects or declare attacks. Furthermore as long as it has Xyz materials, my dragon can bypass your entire field and go straight for your life points." said Lucky Star.
"It can what?" gasped Rarity.
"Let me show you, Harpie's Pet Phantasmal Dragon attack her directly!" commanded Lucky Star. Her dragon was given its orders as it flew high into the air and then shot a fire ball that was heading towards the fashionista.
"I activate the effect of my field spell, since I have at least 2 'Crystal Beasts' in my spell and trap card zone, then I can cut the damage I take in half." Rarity's two gems then caused a barrier to be put up as it formed around Rarity as it help to absorb the attack while also lessening the amount of life points she would have lost.
Rarity's Life Points: 2900-
"You may have protected yourself, but I'm far from done. Now Cyber Harpie Lady take out her Topaz Tiger." Cyber Harpie Lady then soared into the sky and then rushed forward using the force of gravity as it unsheathed its talons and took out Rarity's cat as a yellow gem was now seen in her backrow.
Rarity's Life Points: 2700-
"Then Phantom Gryphon attack that Sapphire Pegasus!" Her other monster then also took flight as it had its eyes set on its target. Sapphire Pegasus then also took flight as it was now meeting its opponent as both were now going to battle in the air. Both charged forward as they collided head first as they showed off their strength as both managed to push each other back. They then collided once more as Phantom Gryphon used its lion-like muscles and grabbed Sapphire Pegasus by the horn and as hard as it could threw the winged horse to the ground as he was picking up speed and soon crashed into the ground as it made a hole.
"Pegasus!!!" shouted Rarity as she watched her monster get tossed to the ground as she fell to her knees. She saw her monster as it was covered in bruises and dirt as it let out a cry to which Rarity could feel the pain that her monster was feeling as she had a few tears fall from her eyes.
Phantom Gryphon then landed on top of the horse as it placed its right claw on the horse's neck as it gave a growl. Sapphire Pegasus was helpless as it couldn't muscle out as its opponent was that much stronger.
"Time to end this façade!" shouted Lucky Star. Her gryphon heard the order and then brought its mouth down on Sapphire Pegasus as it let out a painfully cry as it exploded into tiny bits of gem dust as soon there was nothing but a sapphire jewel left in the hole.
Rarity's Life Points: 2500-
The jewel then started to float towards Rarity's side, but if first stopped in front of Rarity as she opened her hands out and was now holding her Sapphire Pegasus in its crystal form. Rarity could feel the crystal pulse as she knew her Sapphire Pegasus was okay as it was telling its mistress that it was fine. Rarity just wiped the tears from her eyes as the crystal then position itself next to the others as Rarity now had a total of four gems and a facedown in her backrow as the only monsters she had on her field were Ruby Carbuncle which was in defense mode and her Cobalt Eagle in attack position.
"Don't fret, my dear pegasus. I'm going to take down that dragon of hers. That's a promise!!" said Rarity as she stood up with a determined look on her face.
"I like to see you try!" responded Lucky Star as she too was now fired up. "I end my turn and so my dragon loses an overlay unit."
Turn 13: Rarity
"Be careful for what you wish for! Draw!" shouted Rarity as she drew her card as it was covered in a indigo light that trailed behind it. "Now I'll activate the effect of my Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins, since I have at least 4 'Crystal Beasts' in my spell and trap card zone, I can draw an extra card." Rarity then looked at her deck as she let out a deep breath and then placed her hand on it as she was hoping it would listen to her. She then drew her card as she looked at it and had a small smile form on her face. "I summon my Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise(800/2000) in defense mode!" Out came a green jewel as it soon cracked open and revealed a tortoise with green gemstones in its shell.
"Then I'll end my turn."
Turn 14: Lucky Star
"That's your big play after you say you're going to take down my dragon, not much." mocked Lucky Star as she drew her card. "Now Harpie's Pet Phantasmal Dragon attack her life points directly!" shouted Lucky Star.
"I reveal my facedown, Defense Draw. So any damage I take from your dragon becomes zero and I draw a card." Rarity's duel disk then slotted out her card for her to grab as a wall of them appeared to protect her from the attack.
"You may have survived, but I can still attack with my other monsters. Cyber Harpie Lady attack her Cobalt Eagle!" shouted Lucky Star. Her monster then rushed over and took out Rarity's bird as it let out a screech as it turned into a gem and now filled out the final slot of her backrow.
Rarity's Life Points: 2100-
"Now Phantom Gryphon take out her Ruby Carbuncle!" Once more Rarity's tiny monster was caught and squeezed between the talons of Phantom Gryphon as it let out a sinister sound as it toyed with its prey. It then slammed the tiny creature into the ground as this time it was sent to the graveyard.
"Your Ruby Carbuncle was in defense mode, but the most important thing is that since your entire backrow is now filled up, it was sent to the graveyard. Which means you have no way of bring it back since you have no zones to play any spells or traps." stated Lucky Star. "And the only monster left on your field is your Emerald Tortoise and he can only protect you for so long."
"That's true, but your Phantasmal Dragon now loses an overlay unit and therefore it can only attack me directly one more time. And I just need to hold out till then." said Rarity.
"Like that's going to happen. I end my turn." informed Lucky Star as her dragon lost another Xyz material. (Hand 2)
Turn 15: Rarity
"It will, now watch and learn!" said Rarity as she drew her card.
Well, Rarity. What's your plan? Isaac had heard Rarity's speech and he too wanted to see just how the fashion loved girl was going to get out of this one.
"To start, I'll activate my Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins. Since I have at least 4 'Crystal Beast' in my spell and trap card zone, then I can draw an extra card. And since I have 5, I can special summon one of them. So come back Sapphire Pegasus." Rarity now had one of her gems crack and in a burst of light was her monster as it spread its wings out and she drew an extra card from her deck. "Now then I'll lay a facedown and end my turn."
Turn 16: Lucky Star
"My turn, time to end this duel." said Lucky Star as he drew her card. "Cause now I play my Harpie's Feather Duster, this powerful card will wipe out the remaining hope you have left!" said Lucky Star as a giant wind was starting to blow over.
"I may suffer my hair being frizzled, but I'll risk it cause now I'm activating the effect of my field spell, since I have at least 3 'Crystal Beast' in my spell and trap card zone, I can send one of my Crystal Beasts to the graveyard to negate its activation and destroy it all together. So Sapphire Pegasus, lend me your power for this turn and blow away her feather duster!" shouted Rarity. Her monster obeyed its command as he flew into the air and did the biggest whirlwind effect as it blew the card out of Lucky Star's hand and nullified her spell.
"Fine then! I'll play Cyber Shield and boost my Cyber Harpie Lady by 500 more attack points. Raising her strength to 2300 which is more than enough to take out your remaining monster. So do it!" Cyber Harpie Lady then took out Rarity's remaining Emerald Tortoise as she was now defenseless.
"Now Phantasmal Dragon attack her directly!"
"I activate the effect of my field spell, so now I cut the damage I take in half!" shouted Rarity as another barrier formed around her as she protected herself.
Rarity's Life Points: 1100-
"But you can only activate it once, which means this next attack is coming at you full force! Phantom Gryphon attack her directly!" shouted Lucky Star.
"I reveal my facedown, Card Defense. So I discard a card in my hand to negate your attack. Then I draw a new card to replace the one I lost." stated Rarity as she sent her card away as it produced a barrier that shielded her. The attack still had some effect as on Rarity as it left a tear on her attire as she noticed her skirt and her upper part of her attire had a few rips.
"Just about to end this, on my next turn, I finish the duel. Besides, there's not much you can do. So take your turn." said Lucky Star as her dragon lost its last Xyz material and set a card facedown.
Turn 17: Rarity
"My turn and now the time has arrived." stated Rarity. Streams of light in the colors of the rainbow rose into the air. It reached the clouds and let out a wave of multicolored light across them. Rarity smiled and closed her eyes. "When I gather all seven Crystal Beasts, the greatest light in history resurrects! Meet the all powerful, Rainbow Dragon(4000/0)!" The light in the air above them shone brighter, the silhouette of a long, serpentine dragon appearing within it. With the sound of a mighty roar the light cracked and broke apart. From the shards came a giant white and gold dragon in a rainbow aura, massive white wings spreading into the air, gemstones in seven colors embedded in its scales. It descended behind Rarity and coiled in the air above her, glaring at Lucky Star with golden eyes beneath a crested helmet of white and gold.
"Now, I'll activate the effect of my spell card. Crystal Overfusion!" Rarity's facedown flipped up as rays of violet light shone from Rarity’s card. “By banishing Crystal Beast cards in my graveyard and on my field, either as monsters or as spell cards, I conduct a Fusion Summon!” The crystallized monsters shattered, and the shards rose into the air, swirling around each other in a sphere. Rarity slid her card into her duel disk and a ray of seven-colored light shot up into the sky, engulfing the gem dust and lifting it into the clouds. The clouds twisted and swirled around each other, white light flashing within.
Rarity put a hand over her duel disk. “By combining the lights of the seven gems, I create the bridge to a new future and summon forth a crystal guardian like no other! I Fusion Summon! Descend, Rainbow Overdragon(4000/0)!” The clouds parted and Rarity’s new monster slowly lowered from above them. A massive white and gold dragon, even larger than Rainbow Dragon, spread its wings across the field and raised its head, eyes glowing white beneath a gold and silver horned crest. Its stomach was shining violet scales, light in seven colors pulsing within them. It hovered above Rarity and roared, the force shaking the field.
"This might be a problem." said Lucky Star as she stared at the face of Rarity's two dragons.
"Oh it is, now Rainbow Dragon attack her Phantasmal Dragon!" shouted Rarity.
"Hang on, I activate my facedown, Nutrient Z! Now my life points increase by 4000 when I'm about to take 2000 points worth of damage." said Lucky Star.
Lucky Star's Life Points: 10,550-
Rainbow Dragon then opened its mouth as it shot a beam of rainbow color as it took our Phantasmal Dragon. Lucky Star had managed to stay up as the next attack was coming.
Lucky Star's Life Points: 8550-
"Now Rainbow Overdragon take out her Phantom Gryphon!" ordered Rarity as her other great beast took out another one of Lucky Star's monsters and delivered another dose of damage.
Lucky Star's Life Points: 6550-
"Then I'll activate the effect of my Rainbow Overdragon. By offering it as tribute, all other cards on the field are shuffled into the deck!” stated Rarity.
Rainbow Overdragon spread its wings. Lucky Star’s Cyber Harpie Lady lit up in seven-colored light and squawked as it was drawn across the field. Lucky Star turned her head as the Cyber Harpie Lady behind her condensed; when the two forms were close enough, Rainbow Overdragon swept its wings around them and bowed its head. Sparks crackled over its wings and the dragon dissolved, Lucky Star’s cards vanished from within its grasp.
Rarity then reached to her duel disk as a card ejected from her graveyard slot, and she held it up. “I activate the effect of Crystal Overfusion in my graveyard. By banishing it when the monster it summoned leaves the field, I can search my deck, hand, graveyard, or banished zone, for a 'Rainbow Dragon' card, and summon it.” With a shimmer of purple light over it, Crystal Overfusion in Rarity’s hand transformed into Rainbow Dragon. “Return to me, Rainbow Dragon!!!” The vanishing particles of Rainbow Overdragon came together behind her and formed into the visage of Rainbow Dragon, the beast roaring proudly.
"Now Rainbow Dragon attack Lucky Star directly!!" shouted Rarity as her dragon was once again on the field as it was allowed to attack again and it fired off an attack that collided with Lucky Star as she took the full force of the attack as the young girl dropped to her knees.
Lucky Star's Life Points: 2550-
"I'll then end my turn."
Turn 18: Lucky Star
Lucky Star slowly got back up as she looked at the sight before her as she knew that if she didn't do something this turn then she would lose her opportunity to face Isaac. So she then got up from her knees as she dusted herself off and placed her hand on her deck.
"My turn, and... I... draw!" shouted Lucky Star. She then drew her card as she looked at it out of the corner of her eye as she smiled. "Now I play Pot of Greed so that I can draw two more cards. Then I summon Harpie Lady #2(1300/1400)." Lucky Star then had her final monster on the field as she was about to execute her plan. "It's time, time for me to win!"
"Beg your pardon, darling?" asked Rarity.
"I'm going to win and now I play this card. Harpie Lady Phoenix Formation!!" shouted Lucky Star. "Now I can destroy your Rainbow Dragon. Harpy Lady end this!" Harpy Lady #2 then shot up into the sky as it had turned into a phoenix; soon the giant fire bird got bigger and bigger until it was larger than Rainbow Dragon. Then it started to swoop down as it headed straight for the dragon as it collided and soon engulfed the great beast in flames as it let out a cry.
"Rainbow Dragon!" shouted Rarity as her monster let out a cry of defeat.
"Now the effect of my spell activates, so you take damage equal to your monster's attack points." said Lucky Star. "Which means... I win!" said Lucky Star.
Rarity then felt the force of the spell as it headed towards her; Rainbow Dragon was still engulfed in flames as with his last bit of strength he used his body to protect Rarity from getting hurt as he made sure to protect its mistress as he gave one last growl. Rarity admired her monster's sacrifice as she placed a hand on her dragon's body as her hand pasted through the flames as she gave him a rub.
"Thank you for protecting me, my dear Rainbow Dragon." said Rarity as she smiled and gave her beast a kiss as he disappeared and her life points dropped.

Harpie's Pet Dragon only gains 300 ATK for each monster that specifically named "Harpie Lady", not Harpie Lady monsters in general.
And since Harpie Lady Sisters don't have a effect that makes them treated specifically named as "Harpie Lady", it doesn't count.
So it only gains 300 ATK in this case, not 600 since there is only 1 "Harpie Lady" on Lucky Star's field, not two.
Since Lucky Star already said "attack" and chosen her attack target by specifying Amber Mammoth, she can't stop the attack.
Especially since Rarity's trap is triggered when Amber Mammoth is being attacked, meaning a battle is now happening.
The only way to stop the attack is by a card effect, if the attacking monster is switched to Defense Mode or a Replay is happening, neither of these is happening so Lucky Star can't stop her dragon's attack.
Hysteric Party revives monsters specifically named Harpie Lady, not Harpie Lady monsters in general.
But nothing is contradicted here since Cyber Harpie Lady and Harpie Lady #3 has clauses treating them as specifically Harpie Lady while Harpie Channler treats itself as "Harpie Lady" when on the field or in the Graveyard.
