Chapter 134: Smitten

"So... I finally have all 3 Egyptian God cards in my possession?" said Isaac as he was in his room as he was sitting up on his bed.

"How long are you gonna keep staring at them boy toy?" asked Sunset as she too was in his room. In fact, she wasn't the only one as all the girls were in Isaac's room as they all sat on chairs that circled his bed.

"Well, then." Isaac then tossed his god cards in three separate directions as Sunset, Fluttershy, and Pinkie were the ones who caught them as they began to examine them with the others overlooking their shoulders.

"So, what? Does that make you like, untouchable? Given that you got 3 powerful monsters." said Rainbow Dash as she looked over Sunset's shoulder and saw Obelisk the Tormentor.

"Plus, all the other cards he's got in his deck." added Sunset.

"Yeah, okay that's a bit of a stretch. Keep in mind the promise I made when I got these god cards."

"That you wouldn't use them for personal gain and that they should only be used in emergencies or when the situation calls for it." said Pinkie as she was holding Slifer the Sky Dragon.

"Correct, little sis."

"Still, it makes you that much more of threat if people know that you have these cards in your possession." informed Rarity as she looked at the card in Pinkie's hand.

"Tell me something I don't know." said Isaac as he felt his side be a bit sore. "Ow."

"Easy there." said Twilight as she approached Isaac's bedside. She then lifted up his shirt a bit as she applied some cream on the spot where Isaac's bruise was as she treated his pain. "That should do it."

"Thanks, Twi." said Isaac as he put his shirt back down.

"Well, we better let you rest." said Fluttershy as she grabbed Isaac's deck and put The Winged Dragon of Ra back on top of it. Sunset and Pinkie then did the same as they put the cards back and then put Isaac's deck on his nightstand next to his bed.

"Come on, y'all. Isaac needs to rest, he spent all night tryin' to come up with a plan to win his duel." said Applejack. The girls all nodded as they decided to leave Isaac's room.

"We'll try to keep things quiet in the house, while you rest." said Twilight as she gave a kiss to Isaac.

"Appreciate, Twilight." smiled Isaac.

"Now get some rest, you deserve it." stated Twilight as she closed the door to Isaac's room.

"Yeah." responded Isaac which was soon followed by a yawn. Isaac then laid down as he put his head to his pillow as his eyes started to close as he soon found himself asleep.

The rest of the week went by it seemed that Isaac was more tired then he expected as he sleep through the entire weekend. Regardless, it was another day of school as it was now back to business as the Fall Formal was just a few weeks away. And in terms of the tournament that was to take place, it would begin at the end of the week. Which meant that both the girls and the students would need to be ready, especially for the students, cause the tournament would serve as a sort of checkpoint to see if they were seriously taking the lessons that the girls were trying to teach them and allow Isaac to see what else he would need to teach before the end of the year.

So the morning sun came, as Isaac awoke. He then got ready as exited his room and made his way downstairs as she saw Applejack, Fluttershy, and Pinkie had already gotten up as they were in the dining room eating some breakfast. Isaac joined them as they all got to talking. Eventually the others all woke up as it was soon time for school; with that they all grabbed their backpacks and their decks that were all spread out on the table as they exited the house with Rarity locking it behind them. Once they arrived at school, safe to say the younger students started to swarm Isaac as they wanted to hear his tale of the duel he took part in. So Isaac began to tell the kids about his match with Shining Armor as it was a real barn burner.

"So... you really do have all the 3 Egyptian God cards?" asked Shadow as he and the other students were in a classroom as it was just Isaac with them.

"Yup." responded Isaac.

"So... you mean you could have played them when we challenged you and wiped the floor even more with us?" asked Amber.

"Yup."

"Well shit." said Jack.

"Look, just because I have them, doesn't mean I'm gonna their power. There was an incident that happened about a few years ago. And let's say that it involved a certain god card. Bottom line is, that I won and beat the person who was causing trouble. Then fast forward a few months to my 18th birthday and I received said card as a gift, but more so as a promise to someone. And then last year at the Fall Formal, after I did something and now, I have them all." said Isaac as he informed the students about his journey to getting the god cards.

"Then, we don't have to worry about you using them against us?" asked Penny.

"Well, more likely yes, but you never know. Look, this isn't why I called all of you here. I wanted to discuss the tournament as well as the Fall Formal." said Isaac.

"Yeah, we know. The winner of the tournament between the seven of us and our tutors will earn the right to challenge you for the title of Canterlot High duel champion at the event itself." stated Jason.

"Correct, which means the tournament is gonna officially start this Friday." said Isaac.

"That soon, already?" said Lucky Star as she was surprised with how it had snuck up on the students.

"But we've only been doing this for just 3 weeks, not even a full month." said Bryant. "How do you expect us to compete with our tutors who have some pretty powerful decks themselves. Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Sunset alone are enough to take us all out, might as well throw in Twilight for extra credit."

"And the lessons the girls have been teaching us are based on your plan." said Shadow.

"Which are?" asked Isaac.

"Learning traps, spells, monster effects, basic shit." informed Penny.

"Different types of decks and constructing them." added Amber.

"Not to mention having to use different decks than the ones we own." spoke Jason.

"Well, that's as good of a start as any. You can't just rush into the big stuff until you master and understand the basics." said Isaac.

"But we know the basics!" exclaimed Jack. "You saw that we all know the beginner stuff, so shouldn't we focus more on advanced tactics and strategies for our decks/playstyles."

"Even if you guys focused on that, I still would have whupped your asses." said Isaac as that caused all the students to sit back in defeat as they knew not to go toe to toe with Isaac when it came to speaking ability. "Look, this tournament will allow me to access where you guys are at and whether or not you're improving. Most of all, I want to see if you guys can handle the pressure. Know why?"

"Confidence." said Bryant.

"Exactly, Bryant. Confidence, that mixed a deck, is what makes up a duelist also a bit of skill. But confidence plays a key factor to not just dueling, but to everything in life. So this tournament will see which one of you all, has the confidence and which ones need work." said Isaac.

"Well, you can consider our confidence way down after the beating you gave us." said Amber.

"Then I suggest you get it up before Friday. Work hard, listen to the girls, but most importantly, practice. I'll be spending all this week checking in with the others to tell me of your progress, I'll also be working on the brackets. So, get ready you guys. Cause if you're serious about your skills and want to learn the 'advanced' tactics, then you all need to bust your ass!" With that Isaac dismissed the group as they all headed in separate directions to meet with their mentors.

Shadow Moonrise was walking along the hallway as he was walking to the classroom where he would meet with his mentor. Safe to say that Pinkie was an... eccentric one as he called it. In his head, he found the pink haired girl to be a tad bit annoying due to her hyper demeaner and the fact that she would keep on rambling. He did wonder how Isaac was able to handle the girl and still consider her an honorary sister. Regardless, he kept those thoughts to himself as he had to tolerate her strange behavior, though she did admit that she did make some delicious treats. Shadow eventually arrived to his destination as he took a deep breath as he prepared himself for what he was getting himself into. He then placed his hand on the door as he opened it and was immediately blasted with confetti to the face.

"Surprise!" exclaimed Pinkie as she had a huge smile on her face as she was standing next to her party cannon.

"Ugg." said Shadow as he brought his hand and wiped his face of the confetti. He tipped his head to the side as he hoped to get the pieces that had entered his ear.

"Well, were you surprised?" asked Pinkie as she leaned in.

"Whopee." said Shadow in a deadpanned tone. He then started to make his way over to a student desk as he sat down.

"Before we get started, I made these." said Pinkie as she pulled out some cupcakes from her puffy hair as she offered them to Shadow.

"How? You know, I'm not gonna ask." said Shadow as he didn't want to get a headache from Pinkie's weird antics. "Thanks."

"Now then, I hope you're ready for the tournament. I know I am, big bro is genius for coming up with this idea." smiled Pinkie.

"He's not your brother." stated Shadow.

"Oh, Shadow." said Pinkie as she patted the boy's head. "Of course, Isaac's my brother. Now then, did you do what I asked?"

Shadow then pulled out some pieces of paper as he put them on his desk. "Here's the 3 page essay you wanted me to do on traps, spells, and monster cards. While also explaining why the dueling committee put Pot of Greed on the ban list?" said Shadow as he looked at the fourth wall with a smug look.

"Excellent, I'll just take that." Pinkie then grabbed Shadow's essay as she then crumbled it up.

"Hey!" exclaimed Shadow.

Pinkie then started to tear the ball of paper up as it turned into tiny pieces as she collective grabbed them while they were in the air and started to load them into her cannon as she pulled the string and fired a powerful blast as it was now falling on Shadow's head while Pinkie just let out a laugh.

"That was my paper."

"Exactly, and I made some confetti out of it." responded Pinkie with an innocent smile.

"Then what was the point of me doing the assignment if you were just gonna do that?"

"Duh, the party store won't have their next shipment for another day. So I had make due with I had, and you helped me. Thanks, I'm glad to have a student like you." giggled Pinkie as she rubbed the boy's head.

"Stop that!" said Shadow as he waved off Pinkie's hand. "So have all the papers I've been doing for you, meant nothing."

"Spot on!" said Pinkie.

"Ahh!!" Shadow let out a scream as he put his head down on his desk.

"Don't worry, I'm sure I'll come up with another assignment you can do."

"All the time I spent doing that, when I could have been doing something else." mumbled Shadow as he had his head down. "Why did I get stuck with her?"

"What was that?" asked Pinkie.

"Nothing." responded Shadow.

"Cheer up, silly. It's a beautiful day, let's go outside." suggested Pinkie to which Shadow just simply put a thumbs up as he still had his head down.

With that the pair began to head outside, they were in the hallway as Pinkie was bouncing up and down while Shadow was next to her as he tried to hide his head. He still felt embarrassed that he had Pinkie as his tutor that he didn't want the other students of his class grade to see him with the wacky girl.

"So, were you cheering big bro on in his duel?" asked Pinkie.

"Yeah. Trust me, being champion wasn't just a title he has to brag. He really is a talented duelist." said Shadow as he thought back to when he was watching Isaac duel against Shining Armor.

While he was with the others, they all saw just how skilled Isaac was. Being able to match move for move with the world champion and come out the winner was not an easy task. And based on the short battle he had with Isaac, safe to say that Shadow had some new found respect for Isaac for being able to run through the entire gauntlet and not break a sweat. It did invoke a bit of terror in the boy, especially with the tournament coming up at the end of the week. For one the main prize was that the winner of the tournament would face Isaac at the Fall Formal for a chance to become champion, but based on his encounter with the champ and his recent duel with Shining Armor, Shadow was now worried of what the outcome might be if he was the one to win. But then again, by that time, he was to be in better shape than he was previous, at least that was what he hoped.

"Well of course he is. Have you been living under a rock?" asked Pinkie.

"What? No, I..." said Shadow as he was too busy looking at Pinkie that he didn't pay attention in front of him as he had bumped into someone as he fell down. "Ow."

"Pardon me, young man." said the voice which so happen to be Vice-Principal Luna.

Shadow then looked up as he saw the tall women and the first thought that had crossed his mind was that she was beautiful.

"Sorry about that, Vice-Principal Luna." said Pinkie. "Shadow here was thinking about cupcakes recipes."

"I see." said Luna as she just chose to believe the pink girl's statement rather than asking for more details.

Shadow was too distracted to answer as he was fascinated by Luna. Not just fascinated, he was drawn in by her. To him, she was beautiful as her hair complimented her fair complexion. In Shadow's mind, there was an angelic light that shined down on Luna as he saw her like some kind of real life god. He was so caught up that he didn't pay attention to what was saying to him.

"Are you okay?" asked Luna as she asked the boy.

"Shadow? Shadow." called out Pinkie as she waved her hand in front of the boy as he didn't move.

She had raised her eyebrow as she didn't know what to do. Soon a literally lightbulb appeared on her head as she grabbed it and then replaced the light on the ceiling as it went out. Pinkie then replaced it before pulling out a bucket of water from her hair as she then splashed it on the boy as it finally caused him to snap out of his trance.

"What the hell!" shouted Shadow as he was now drenched.

"Good, you're not dead." said Pinkie as she smiled.

"Why would you think that?"

"Well, your heart stop beating." said Pinkie as she was now dressed in a doctor's coat as she had a stethoscope and was listening to the boy's heart as she lifted his shirt.

"Hey!" yelled out Shadow as he shooed Pinkie off and put his shirt down. "Don't you know about personal space?"

"No." nodded Pinkie while smiling.

"Well, if everything is fine here. I best be off." said Luna. "Do keep out of trouble, Ms. Pie. And try to look where you're going Mr. Shadow." With that Luna began to walk as Shadow just watched her leave.

"Who's that?" asked Shadow.

"That's Vice-Principal Luna. Trust me, you don't want to mess with her. She's the one who deals with bad students and gives them harsh punishments. She made one student brush the boy's and girl's bathroom with just a toothbrush." stated Pinkie.

"Luna? What a beautiful name." smiled Shadow.

"Now come on, we got a lesson to get to." said Pinkie as she grabbed the boy's arm and began to drag him outside as she ran.

"Now then, I know big bro wants us to teach you guys. But we all need practice before the big day, so I don't think he'll mind if we do some training." said Pinkie as she had lead her and Shadow to the soccer field outside as she reserved a spot for them to duel. "So, ready?"

"She was amazing." said Shadow as he was still stunned by Luna.

"I'll take that as a yes." said Pinkie as she pulled out her duel disk and slide it on as she turned it on and projected a pink card tray. "Now then, which one deck should I choose." Pinkie had her two decks in her hands as she was trying to figure out which one she wanted to use. "Shadow, which one do you suggest?"

"Whoever thought an angel like her could exist?" responded Shadow.

"The right one, okay." said Pinkie as she had a smile and then slotted in the deck as she put the other in her pocket. "Now then, time to party!" shouted Pinkie.

"Opponent detected. Streaming data. Duel mode set. Initiating. Commencing duel." said their duel disks.

Pinkie Pie's Life Points: 4000-

Shadow Moonrise's Life Points: 4000-

Turn 1: Pinkie

"Yippee, I get to start to things off." said Pinkie as she drew her card. "Which one, of course! Every good story needs a tale, 0 and all good tales being in... Toon World!" shouted Pinkie. "Now I pay 1000 life points to unlock all the powers of my Toon World. Then I'll play Dark Rabbit(1100/1500) in defense mode." Pinkie then had a bunny appeared on her field as it had a goofy smile on his face. "I'll then place 2 cards facedown, all you Shadow." smiled Pinkie.
Pinkie's Life Points: 3000-

Turn 2: Shadow

"Huh? Oh yeah, whatever." said Shadow as he drew his card. "I'll play Raidraptor - Napalm Dragonius(1000/1000). Now I activate it's ability and so I can deal you 600 points of damage and all monsters unless they happen to be 'Raidraptors' can't activate their effects until the end of the turn." Shadow then had a bird appeared on his field as it opened it mechanical beak and fired a pillar of fire as Pinkie just side stepped and had some marshmallows out as she began to roast them.
Pinkie's Life Points: 2400-

"Mmm. Gooey." said Pinkie as she ate one of the sweet treats.

"Okay then." said Shadow as he moved on with his move. "Well, now that I have one 'Raidraptor', I can special summon summon my Raidraptor - Fuzzy Lanius to join the hunt. Now I'll overlay my Level 4 Fuzzy Lanius with my Napalm Dragonius to build the Overlay Network." Both of Shadow's monsters then transformed into dark orbs of light as they were sucked into a portal that opened up in the ground as a pillar of light emerged. "Avian hunter of the afterlife, seek the truth with your dark eyes, and grasp glory with your sharp talons! I Xyz Summon! Take flight! Raidraptor - Force Strix(100/2000, OLU: 2)!" Shadow's new monster then appeared as it spreaded its wings and let out a screech.

"Only 100 attack points?" asked Pinkie as she tilted her head.

"I activate the effect of my Force Strix, so by using one overlay unit, I can add 1 Level 4 Dark Winged Beast-type monster from my deck to my hand. So I'll grab Raidraptor - Heel Eagle(700/700) and since there's another 'Raidraptor' on the field, I'll summon it. Then I'll activate the effect of the Fuzzy Lanius in my graveyard, which means I can add my second one to my hand, but I'll immediately summon it." Shadow now had two more birds join in as they let out a collective screech.

"Now he's got two more birds?" said Pinkie.

"Then Force Strix gains an additional 500 attack and defense points for every other Winged Beast-type monster on the field other than itself. So with my two other Raidraptors, it gains 1000 extra attack points." said Shadow as his Force Strix let out a cry. "And then I'll attack with my Force Strix."

"You're attacking?" Pinkie now raised her eyebrow at why Shadow was thinking. Which he wasn't.

"Force Strix take out her Dark Rabbit." said Shadow.

"Silly, Shadow. My monster is in defense mode, not attack mode."

"Wait, what? I thought you said attack mode." stated Shadow as he blinked in confusion.

"Sorry but no cherrychanga. But I'll take advantage of this situation and activate a facedown, called Toon Page-Flip. Now I reveal 3 Toon monsters from my deck, and here's the best part. You choose which one I get to summon." exclaimed Pinkie.

"How does that benefit me?" asked Shadow.

"Duh, you pick. So here are your choices. Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon, Toon-Gemini Elf, or my personal favorite and in memory of my big bro, the one and only, Toon Dark Magician!" exclaimed Pinkie. Soon all of her toons appeared as they did a small dance and wave as they looked at Pinkie. "So which do you want to have fun with? Try to not hurt their feelings." Pinkie's cards then flipped over as they spun in a circle while awaiting Shadow's decision.

"I duh know. The left one?" asked Shadow.

"Oh, the left one. Any more bets, going for 500? Do I hear 600? Anybody for 600? 650?" rambled Pinkie as she was starting to talk like an auctioneer.

"Just pick it!" shouted Shadow as he was getting annoyed.

"And the grand prize winner is... Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon!" said Pinkie as she returned the other two cards to her deck and then summoned her brand new monster as it gave out a cartoonish roar.

"Well, doesn't change the fact that I'm still going to target your Dark Rabbit." said Shadow.

"Ohh, goodie. Then I can activate my other facedown, Shift. So now your monster changes targets so it goes after my Toon Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

"What?" yelled out Shadow.

Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon saw Force Strix coming at him as he put on a sad face as he held up a sign that said: 'Help'. He then turned that frown upside, literally, as he huffed and he puffed and he puffed even more until, Force Strix stopped in front of him as he just blew a small gust of wind as it destroyed his target. He let out a small cackle as he enjoyed his mischief.

"Naughty Blue-Eyes, don't take all the fun." giggled Pinkie as she too broke out into laughter at what her monster did. "Oh, don't forget. You lose life points." exclaimed Pinkie with a wave.
Shadow's Life Points: 1500-

"I'll end my turn." said Shadow as he didn't bother to set any spells or traps.

Turn 3: Pinkie

"Ohh, it's my turn." said Pinkie as she drew her card. "Now I'll pay 500 life points so that my Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon can attack, and get this... it can attack you directly!"
Pinkie's Life Points: 1900-

"How?" yelled out Shadow.

"Duh, you don't have a toon on your field. Didn't I tell that this a party playdate and you need to bring a toon? Your invitation must have gotten lost in the mail, next time check your emails." stated Pinkie. "Now then, Blue-Eyes attack Shadow directly and end this duel!!!" said Pinkie as she thrusted her arm out. Blue-Eyes heard Pinkie's command as it huffed and puffed it chest and blew an attack that caused Shadow to be thrown onto the ground.

"Ahh." stated Shadow as he flew just a few centimeters after being blasted.
Shadow's Life Points: 0-

Winner: Pinkie

Shadow laid on the ground as he had his arms and legs spread out. He had the sun in his eyes until a shadow casted some darkness over his face.

"Wow, you suck." said Pinkie as she was leaning over and checking on her student.

"Huh? Hey! What the hell do you mean, 'I suck'?" yelled out Shadow.

"You made stupid moves, attacking while my monster was in defense mode, not looking at my field, or placing any facedowns." stated Pinkie. "I mean, how are you gonna win the tournament if you make moves like that?"

"I would never make rookie mistakes like that." said Shadow.

"Replay doesn't lie." said Pinkie as she showed her duel disk to Shadow as the video was playing.

"That doesn't count! Let's go again." exclaimed Shadow. "Besides, I can't lose to you. It makes me look like a chump."

"I thought you never ask. Okay, this time I'll use my other deck." said Pinkie as she skipped over to her side of the field as she pulled out her other deck from her hair and slotted it in as her pink card tray projected. "All set!"

"The fact that she beat me adds to her annoying tactics. Hopefully I can shut her up in this next round." said Shadow.

Pinkie's Life Points: 4000-

Shadow's Life Points: 4000-

Turn 1: Shadow

"I'll start things off this time, so watch out." said Shadow as he drew his card. "I summon Raidraptor - Rudder Strix(0/1600) in defense mode. And when this feather bird is summoned, I can deal you 600 points of damage." said Shadow as another one of his mechanical birds appeared and opened its beak as it fired off a shot at Pinkie.
Pinkie's Life Points: 3400-

"With that I'll lay a facedown and end my turn. That's much better, as if I made a mistake." said Shadow as he was proud of himself for pulling off a better move then his previous one.

Turn 2: Pinkie

"My turn." said Pinkie as she drew her card. "I summon Madolche Chouxvalier(1700/1300)." Out came a tiny soldier as he rode in one a tiny horse underneath him as he wielded a lance that was made of a tasty treat. "Then I'll play the continuous spell card, Madolche Saloon which means I can get an additional normal summon each turn. Now, since I have no monsters in my graveyard, I can special summon my Madolche Petingcessoeur(1400/1400) and when she's summoned, I get to special summon another 'Madolche' monster from my deck but its level decreases by 1. So I choose to summon my Madolche Baaple(0/1800) in defense mode." Pinkie now had two more of her tasty monsters appear on her field as they all giggled.

"Now I overlay my Level 4 Madolche Petingcessoeur and Madolche Chouxvalier to build the Overlay Network." said Pinkie as her two monsters then transformed into orbs of light as they combined together into a portal that opened in the ground as a pillar of light emerged. "I Xyz Summon, Madolche Queen Tiaramisu(2200/2100)." Pinkie now had a tiny queen who sat on a throne of tiramisu as she wielded a tiny scepter. "Now time to attack, I'll have my Queen Tiaramisu attack your Rudder Strix."

"Now I activate the other effect of my Raidraptor - Rudder Strix, since it became the target of your attack, I can now summon 2 'Raidraptors' from my hand. So arise, Raidraptor - Wild Vulture(1600/2000) in defense mode. And as long as my Rudder Strix is out on the field, you can't target any other monsters but it." said Shadow as his monster that was destroyed was quickly replaced by two different ones.

"Impressive, I'll just set one card facedown and end my turn."

Turn 3: Shadow

"My turn, so I'll activate my Raidraptor - Pain Lanius(100/100) so I can target a 'Raidraptor' on my field, and then not only do I summon my Pain Lanius but its level becomes the same as the monster I targeted. So now my Pain Lanius is now Level 6, the only downside is that I now take damage equal to Wild Vulture's attack or defense, whichever is lower." said Shadow as he summoned his new monster but was then struck with a blast as he lost some points.
Shadow's Life Points: 2400-

"Now I have all that I need, I overlay my two Level 6 Wild Vulture and my Level 6 Pain Lanius to build the Overlay Network!" Shadow's three monsters then changed into dark orbs as they were combining together as they entered a portal that opened in the ground as a pillar of light emerged. "Fiercest falcon, set your wings ablaze and lock your gaze on our ill-fated foe! Now, make it so! I Xyz Summon! Emerge, Raidraptor - Revolution Falcon(2000/3000, OLU: 3)!" Shadow now had a more fierce looking bird on his field as it let out a screech. "I activate Revolution Falcon's special ability, by using one overlay unit, my raptor can attack all the monsters you control. So take flight, and now my falcon makes it so that at the start of the Damage Step, all your special summoned monsters lose their attack and defense points. Go! Blitz Bombardment!!!" shouted Shadow.

"That's not sweet." said Pinkie as she watched her monsters be stripped of all of their power. Soon Shadow's falcon made contact as it dropped tons of bombs as it took out both of her monsters as Pinkie dropped to a knee as she took a major hit. "Well, the effect of my Baaple activates which means I can shuffle it back into my deck instead of sending it to the graveyard." stated Pinkie as she grabbed her card and placed it on top of her deck as the autoshuffler kicked in.
Pinkie's Life Points: 1400-

"Now then, I'll end my turn."

Turn 4: Pinkie

"What a doozy." said Pinkie as she stood up and wiped some dirt off her new skirt as she drew her card. "To start, I'll activate my field spell, Madolche Chateau." A giant chateau made of delicious sweets appeared as it made Pinkie lick her lips as she got a craving for her sweet tooth. "Once my field spell is activated, I can shuffle all the 'Madolche' monsters from my graveyard back into my deck." Pinkie's duel disk then slotted her Madolche Petingcessoeur and Chouxvalier for her to grab as she placed them on top of her deck to let the autoshuffler do its job, while her duel disk moved her Madolche Queen Tiaramisu from her graveyard into her Extra Deck compartment.

"Since I added a 'Madolche' from my graveyard shuffled back into my deck, the other effect of my Madolche Saloon allows me to set 1 'Madolche' spell/trap card directly from my deck." Pinkie then used her screen as she selected the one she wanted as it slotted out for her to grab and then placed it facedown. "I now summon my Madolche Messengelato(1600/1000). My field spell now gives my 'Madolche' monsters an extra 500 attack and defense points. Which means my Messengelato now has 2100 attack and is stronger than your falcon. So Messengelato take out his Revolution Falcon." said Pinkie.

"I activate my facedown, Raidraptor - Evasion." said Shadow. "Since a 'Raidraptor' Xyz Monster I control was targeted for an attack, I can return one of its Xyz materials to my hand and negate the attack." Shadow then grabbed his Wild Vulture from under his Revolution Falcon as he added to his hand as Pinkie's monster was brought to a halt.

"Good one, Shadow. I thought for sure it be light's out if attack connected." said Pinkie.

"Light's out?" Shadow was now hung up on that phase Pinkie said as he started to imagine Vice-Principal Luna as he was now thinking of her hair and how it shined like the night sky, all while daydreaming.

"Well, I'll end my turn." said Pinkie. "Your turn."

Turn 5: Shadow

"Huh? What? Oh, uh then... I'll just attack you to win. So I'll use the last overlay unit of my Revolution Falcon, to drop all the attack points of your monster and then have it attack for game." said Shadow as he didn't even bother to think through his whole move.

"I'll reveal my facedown, Madolche Nights. Now when a monster effect is activated, and I have no monsters in my graveyard, I can negate your activation. So Revolution Falcon doesn't drop my monster's attack points which means my Messengelato is the stronger and destroys your monster." smiled Pinkie. "But not only that, I'll activate my other facedown Madolche Waltz. Thanks to this whenever my Madolche is attacked or attacks, I can deal 300 points of damage to you."

"Wait, let me take my move back!" exclaimed Shadow but it was too late as his falcon was bombard by Pinkie's monster as it got rid of his bird and Shadow was blasted in the face with some treats.

"NO!!!!!!!!!!!!" yelled Shadow.

"Everything okay?" smiled Pinkie as she hopped over and looked down at her student.

"Don't tell me, I lost. To you of all people." complained Shadow.

"Twice, actually." said Pinkie.

"That makes things worst!" shouted Shadow.

"Cupcake?" offered Pinkie.

"Yes, please." said Shadow as he grabbed the sweet from Pinkie's hand as he wanted to drown his loss with some comfort food.

"I think today's lesson went well." said Pinkie as she had a big smile on her face as he patted her student's head.

"I need to talk to my doctor." said Shadow as he was eating the cupcake while crying tears.

The next day Isaac was in Principal Celestia's office along with Vice-Principal Luna as they were talking before school started.

"Well, I hope everything is coming nicely for the tournament." said Celestia.

"Trust me, Celestia. I've taken the liberty of making sure the girls are preparing the students for this event." informed Isaac.

"I to look forward to seeing what they've been learning and whether or not they actually are paying attention." said Luna. "I would hate to give out some extreme punishments for students that aren't doing the work."

"You don't have to worry, Luna. I..." Isaac's statement was soon interrupted by a knock at the door. "Were you girls, expecting anybody?"

"Not that I'm aware of." said Celestia. "Lulu?"

"Don't look at me, Tia."

Isaac then approached the door as he opened it and it happen to be one of the staff members as they were carrying something.

"So sorry to interrupt your meeting with the Principals, but I was asked by someone to deliver this." The staff person then hand a bouquet of flowers in their hands as she gave it to Isaac.

"Uh, thanks. I'll make sure they get this." said Isaac as he dismissed the women and closed the door. "Okay, which one of you is this for? Cause it sure as hell ain't Twilight sending me flowers, or any guy for that matter should be receiving flowers." said Isaac as he looked at the women.

"Not me." said both women.

Isaac just rolled his eyes as he noticed something on the end of the bouquet as he grabbed the tiny note and began to read it. "Well, there's no name on who sent it or who it's even address for. Did they forget to include that part?" said Isaac as he was holding the bouquet of Moonflowers that were colored blue. "Seriously, is this any of you?"

"I'm confident it's not for me, what about you, Lulu?" stated Celestia. "Are you seeing someone behind my back?"

"Don't kid yourself, Tia. You would be the last person I would tell if I had someone I was dating." said Luna as took a jab at her own sister. "Plus, not that I'm bragging but what would you know about dating?"

"Hush your mouth, Lulu." replied Celestia as she took offense to her little sister's remark.

"Just because you can't get a man, doesn't mean you have to take your anger out on me." said Luna with a smug expression.

"I'll have you know, Lulu, that I'm perfectly capable of getting a man. I'm just more occupied with my occupation." stated Celestia.

"Keep telling yourself that, sister." responded Luna with the smuggest of smiles.

"Just because you more accustomed to being at social gatherings, doesn't mean you can judge me for not having a date in a long time."

"At least, I can say that I've had some experience with dating unlike you." said Luna.

"If you call going to the arcade when we were younger as a date." snickered Celestia as she took her own jab at her sister's video games.

"Leave my video games out of this! Besides you're secret is even worst than mine. At least my secret doesn't go to my hips and make me look fat." shouted Luna.

"Don't you dare mention my cakes!" shouted Celestia.

"Should I be hearing this?" said Isaac as he watched the two women begin to act like siblings based on how they got on each other's nerves.

"By the way, what did the card say?" asked Luna as she wanted to drop the little bickering she had with her older sister.

"To my dearest and fair maiden, I have been enthralled with you upon the moment of first glance. It's like the gates of heaven opened up and you escape from it. The nighttime pales in comparison to you as the stars are but flickers of light that compared to your eyes." said Isaac as he finished reading the note.

"Interesting." said the girls as they had mixed reactions about the note.

"Honestly, I was expecting something else." said Isaac as he crumpled the note.

"Such as?" asked both women.

"Something like," stated Isaac as he began to recite a rhyme.

'Her eyes the glow worm lend thee,
The shooting stars attend thee;
And the elves also,
Whose little eyes glow
Like the sparks of fire, befriend thee...'"

"Robert Herrick, 'The Night Piece: To Julia'." said Celestia. "Didn't expect you to know that, Isaac?"

"I'm taking AP Literature this year, so you best believe I'm killing myself in that class for learning and speaking this kind of language." said Isaac as he was suffering a headache whenever he attended that class. Thankfully, Fluttershy was in that same class as she able to help ease his pain as she would often translate some stuff for him.

"Yes, well. Nevertheless, let's not let this distract us. We must all turn our attention to the tournament and to see if your program is producing results. Pray that the students don't disappoint us, Isaac."

"You have my word, Luna." Isaac then grabbed his backpack as he slung it over his shoulder. "So, what do you girls want to do with this?" asked Isaac as he was still holding the bouquet and the note.

"Perhaps you can give them to Twilight, I'm sure she would like that." said Celestia.

"Well, at least I don't have to buy her gift now. Plus, she does like a bit of poetry." said Isaac. "Thanks. Well, I better get to class. See you ladies, later." Isaac then exited out of the office as he closed the door and went on his way.

The following days leading up to the tournament were filled with hard days of training from the girls and the students as they all were putting in the extra time and devotion to be as ready as they could be. During that time, there was even more gifts being sent that ranged from even more flowers to sweets, which Celestia just swiped away as she stuffed her mouth. All the while there was even more little notes that were attached, but they still had no name. So both ladies decided to give the gifts that were being mysteriously sent to Isaac so that he could give them to Twilight. Which was working out as everytime Isaac brought his girlfriend something, she immediately gave him a kiss.

Though with the amount of gifts that were being sent, it did make Twilight beg the question on where Isaac was getting them. As for Isaac, he had done a bit of investigating of his own as he wanted to know who was sending these many gifts; after some detective work, he had his hutch. He knew that the tournament was coming up and that it was going to be the main focus so he decided to address it after all was said and done. Though the one thing about the gifts being sent is that it allowed Isaac to have some quality entertainment with both of his principals. He couldn't help but grin at seeing Luna and Celestia fight about which one of them was more attractive and could be capable of getting a man.
