Chapter 131: Test Evaluations
The next day rolled around as Isaac had arrived at school and was in the gymnasium as he prepared for the evaluations that were about to take place. He was busy overlooking the profiles of the students that he had selected as he knew that each of them was special, but more importantly, the type of decks each had and their experience with playing them.
"Still working hard." said Twilight.
"You know that..." Isaac didn't get to finish his statement as standing before him were his friends. But the major thing was that they weren't in their regular attire, but rather they upgraded their current style. Safe to say that each of the girls wanted to change up their looks given that they were in their final year of highschool. (Better Together outfits)
"Well what do you think of our new outfits?" asked Rarity.
"I'm liking what I see." said Isaac as he had to admit that their new outfits really stood out.
"Thanks for that darling, perhaps we can upgrade your look."
"Maybe another time, Rarity." said Isaac as he still loved what he was wearing as it was his signature look.
"Okay, now that he's had a chance to see our new outfits. Are we ready to get started?" asked Rainbow.
"In a moment, Dash." said Isaac.
Soon the door to the gymnasium opened up as the 7 students entered the place as they all had different expressions on their faces. Isaac then began to walk towards them. "Good to see that you all made it."
"Not like we had a choice." said Shadow Moonrise.
"Is this going to take long?" asked Penny.
"Cause even though we're just freshman, it doesn't seem the teachers care about the amount of assignments they've given us to complete for homework." explained Lucky Star.
"Not to mention they're having us take a test on the school rules just to remember them." whined Bryant.
"Do they really expect us to memorize all that? The only one I know is the 'No Pets Allowed' rule and that's about it." said Jason.
"Alright, calm down." said Isaac. "Now you all will using your decks and I'll be testing and judging your ability. So up first is going to be Jack Hunt and you'll be facing... Fluttershy." said Isaac as he pointed to her.
"Me? First?" said Fluttershy as she hid a bit behind her hair.
"At least it's a fair fight." said Jack to himself as he made his way to the field.
"Good, now you'll need this." said Isaac as he tossed a spare duel disk for Jack to use. "You'll get your own duel disks in time, but for training purposes, you'll use these. They're a bit old school, but they'll get the job done. Now, both of you take your places. And for these training purposes, you'll both be starting with 4000 life points. And the same goes to everybody else, when you're training with your tutor, you'll play by these rules to help ease you into the more advanced tactics." said Isaac as he took his seat at a table with the other girls sitting behind him on the bleachers while the rest of the 6 students all sat next to them in another section.
"So anybody want to place bets on this one?" asked Jason.
"Isn't betting bad?" asked Bryant.
"Not when you're trying to make cash." said Lucky Star. "I'll give the shy girl a chance and place 5 bucks on her."
"10 bucks says she lasts 3 turns." said Amber.
"50, that Jack will win." said Shadow. All the others were shocked to hear him bet so much cash. "Hey, I got money to spare. This is pocket change to me."
"All right, enough of that." said Isaac as he overheard their little conversation. "If you're all done making your wagers then it's time to get this duel underway. Besides, I got 100 dollars on Fluttershy." stated Isaac as it caused the students to have their jaws drop at how much Isaac was betting on the timid girl.
"Good luck." smiled Fluttershy as she activated her duel disk which projected a pink card tray.
"Same here." said Jack Hunt as he activated the duel disk on his arm and it combined together.
"Opponent detected. Streaming data. Duel mode set. Initiating. Commencing duel." said their duel disks.
Fluttershy's Life Points: 4000-
Jack Hunt's Life Points: 4000-
"So anybody have any idea what deck that girl has?" asked Amber.
Turn 1: Jack Hunt
"I'll start things off." said Jack as he drew his card and to his surprise it was none other than Jinzo. Guess, Isaac slip this in my deck when I wasn't looking.
"So what's the level of experience when it comes to Jack?" asked Sunset.
"Well based on what Isaac said, he's a bit of novice. Doesn't have too much experience when it comes to Duel Monsters." said Twilight.
"Guess that's the reason why Isaac has him facing off against Fluttershy." said Rainbow.
"Alright, my move. To start, I'll play Battlin' Boxer Headgeared(1000/1800) in attack mode. Then since I normal summoned my monster, I can send a 'Battlin' Boxer' monster from my deck to the graveyard." Jack then selected the card he wanted to get rid of as he sent his card away. "That's all."
"Uh, does he know that he didn't set any spells or traps?" asked Pinkie.
"Remember he's a novice, cut him some slack." mentioned Sunset.
While all of this was being said, Isaac was making mental notes and writing down stuff for later.
Turn 2: Fluttershy
"Guess it's my turn, I draw. To start, I'll banish a spell in my hand so that I can special summon my Monoceros(1000/1000)." Fluttershy then got rid of her card as out came a beast that had a long horn. "Then I'll summon my Uni-Horned Familiar(0/1000) in defense mode." Fluttershy now had another beast on her field as this one was a tuner. "Now I tune my Level 2 Uni-Horned Familiar with my Level 3 Monoceros." Fluttershy's Uni-Horned Familiar then transformed into two giant green rings as Monoceros jumped in between them. "Feel the winds blow and watch the storm clouds up above rumble with electricity as I Synchro Summon, Thunder Unicorn(2200/1800)!" shouted Fluttershy as she had one of her ace monsters raced down from the heavens and land with a the sound of thunder.
"Suddenly that girl has my attention." said Penny as she was surprised to see Fluttershy knowing how to Synchro Summon.
"Definitely didn't expect that from her given how shy she was." said Jason.
"Now Monoceros' effect activates, since I used him along with a Beast-type tuner monster for a synchro summon, then I can bring that tuner. So now Uni-Horned Familiar rises up in defense mode." Fluttershy then had her monster appear as she now had some more protection.
"Man, when did Fluttershy get this good?" asked Pinkie.
"I'm guessing Isaac spent some special time with her before the match." offered Twilight.
"Now I'll activate my Thunder Unicorn's ability, so now your monster loses 500 attack points for each monster that I control other than my Unicorn." Thunder Unicorn then pointed its horn at Battlin' Boxer Headgeared as it lost some more power. "Now time to attack, Thunder Unicorn take out his monster!" shouted Fluttershy. Thunder Unicorn then raced over as it charged with its horn as Battlin' Boxer Headgeared was just grabbed the horn as it hit him in the chest before he flung the attack back.
Jack Hunt's Life Points: 2300-
"My monster has a special ability, while it's in attack mode, once per turn it can't be destroyed in battle." said Jack.
"Still, you took damage." said Fluttershy.
"Yeah, that's the drawback of that ability." said Jack as he realized that for himself.
"Interesting." said Isaac as he watched on and made some notes.
"Well don't get too discouraged. Now I'll lay a facedown and end my turn. Which means you're monster's attack points return to normal."
Turn 3: Jack
"Then it's back to me, I draw." said Jack as he looked at his cards. "To start, I'll play my Battlin' Boxer Switchitter(1500/1400). When Switchitter is summoned, I can target 1 'Battlin' Boxer' monster in my graveyard and then summon it. So I choose to bring back my Battlin' Boxer Sparrer(1200/1400)." Jack now had 3 monsters on his field as it caused Isaac to have some curiosity. "Now I overlay my both my Level 4 Battlin' Boxer Sparrer and Switchitter to construct the overlay network." Soon both of his monsters then turned into orbs as a portal in the ground opened up and a pillar of light appeared as a new monster was being summoned. "I Xyz Summon, Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke(2200/2000, OLU: 2)!" shouted Jack as his new monster appeared as it was in chains.
"That's a big monster." said Fluttershy as she looked at the monster that laid before her.
"With that I'll end my turn."
Turn 4: Fluttershy
"Then I'm up, so here I go." said Fluttershy softly. "I'll summon my Nimble Momonga(1000/100) in defense mode." said Fluttershy as a flying squirrel appeared on her side of the field. "I'll then use the effect of my Thunder Unicorn, now I'll reduce your Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke by 500 attack points for every other monster on my field." Thunder Unicorn then pointed its horn as it reduced Lead Yoke by 1000 points. "Now Thunder Unicorn, take charge and take out his monster."
"Not gonna be that easy, I activate my Lead Yoke's special ability, so by using one Overlay Unit, I can protect my Lead Yoke from being destroyed." Lead Yoke then broke one of their chains as it used its free hand to block Fluttershy's Thunder Unicorn as it still made contact before he flung the animal back. "And then my Lead Yoke gains 800 attack points." said Jack as his monster rose to 3000.
Jack's Life Points: 1300-
"Impressive, well then I'll end my turn." said Fluttershy.
Turn 5: Jack
"Any ideas on what Jack could do to get back in this game?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"Just watch Rainbow." said Isaac. Don't be afraid, Jack. Play the card.
"My move, here goes." Guess, I've got no choice. "I'll now sacrifice my Battlin' Boxer Headgeared so that I can summon this, Jinzo!" shouted Jack as out came a cyborg monster as it had its brain showing. "Thanks to Jinzo's effect, all traps care destroyed." Jinzo then shot out a beam from its eyes as it took out all of Fluttershy's facedowns.
"Okay, was not expecting that from him." said Amber as she was surprised by what move Jack made.
"Where did he get such a powerful card?" asked Jason.
"Now time to attack, Battlin Boxer Lead Yoke take out Thunder Unicorn!" shouted Jack as his monster raised its fists and punched Fluttershy's monster as it was thrown back and disappeared into particles. "And Jinzo take out her Nimble Momonga." Jinzo then did just that as he took out Fluttershy's little squirrel.
Fluttershy's Life Points: 3200-
Fluttershy felt the effect of the attacks as it caused her knees to buckle a bit before she straightened up and dusted her new outfit off. "Not bad." smiled Fluttershy as she gave props for Jack on being able to turn the tide of the duel in his favor.
"Thanks. Now end my turn." said Jack.
"Well hold on, since my Nimble Momonga was destroyed, I not only gain 1000 life points, but I can replace it with 2 more Nimble Momonga in facedown defense positions." Fluttershy now had two more of her monsters appeared.
Fluttershy's Life Points: 4200-
"So that attack was worthless." said Lucky Star.
"All it did was help the shy girl and give her some more life points." informed Shadow.
Turn 6: Fluttershy
"Now my turn." Since Jinzo is on the field, I can't play my traps. "I now summon Trident Warrior(1800/1200) and when this monster is successfully summoned, I can special summon one Level 3 monster from my hand, so I choose to play my Delta Flyer(1500/900). And then Delta Flyer's effect activates, when it's summoned, I can increase or decrease the level of one faceup monsters on the field by 1." Trident Warrior then had its level increase from 4 to 5. "Now I tune my Level 3 Delta Flyer with my Level 5 Trident Warrior." Delta Flyer then soared high into the air as it turned into three giant green rings as Trident Warrior jumped in between. "Let the sky open up and now give way to a gleaming beast of electric might! I Synchro Summon, Lightning Tricorn(2800/2000)!" shouted Fluttershy as her new beast emerged.
"When the hell did Fluttershy get that card?" shouted Rainbow.
"Isaac?" asked Rarity as all the girls looked at him to which he just kept looking forward with a smile on his face.
"But I'm far from done, cause now I'm using my 2 Nimble Momongas so that I can build the Overlay Network!"
"Wait, she can Xyz Summon?!" shouted the students as they couldn't believe what Fluttershy was doing.
The two beasts turned into transparent red outlines and slid together, undulating. "I unite the powers of my two squirrels, to summon a brave new animal guardian!” She then grabbed the card that ejected from the top of her duel disk and then played it on her duel field. “I Xyz Summon Number 64: Ronin Raccoon Sandayu(1000/1000)!” The red light burst apart, revealing a humanoid raccoon in red samurai armor, its eyes glowing. Two orbs of red light orbited the air around it, trails in their wake. Twin capes of yellow burst from its shoulders to flutter in the air. It reached to its back and pulled out a large polearm, spinning it twice and then pointing it at Jack.
"I think I'm liking having Fluttershy as my tutor." said Bryant. If that was what Fluttershy could do then he was looking forward to being her student.
"You know two summoning methods? I thought you could only learn one." asked Jack.
"Don't limit yourself to what you can do. Besides, I had help from someone." said Fluttershy as she looked at Isaac to which they both smiled. "Now, I'll activate the effect of my Ronin Raccoon, by using one Overlay unit, I can create a ‘Kagemusha Raccoon Token’ with attack points equal to the strongest monster on the field. Since Lead Yoke had 3000 attack points, my Token now has 3000 points." The orb of light floated back to Ronin Raccoon and grew into a ghostly red samurai raccoon, a katana strapped to its back.
"Now, I'll play this spell card, Big March of Animals." said Fluttershy as she played the last card in her hand. "With this, all my monsters gain 200 extra attack points for every Beast-type monster on my field, so since I currently have 3 monsters, they all gain 600 extra attack points." Fluttershy's beasts then felt the power up as they let out several animal noises. "Now Lightning Tricorn, take out his Jinzo and my Kagemusha Raccoon Token will battle your Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke! And by my math, that's enough to end this duel." said Fluttershy as her beloved animals obeyed the order given to them by their princess. Lightning Tricorn took out Jinzo with ease as her token brought its katana down on Lead Yoke who blocked it. But regardless it was enough damage to pierce through.
Jack Hunt's Life Points: 0-
Winner: Fluttershy
"That's enough!" shouted Isaac as the duel ended and the holograms disappeared.
Fluttershy's beasts all made their way to their beloved princess as they showed their affection to her as Fluttershy let out a giggle.
"Okay, seems the shy girl isn't all that I thought her to be." said Lucky Star.
"Hey hands off, she's my mentor." said Bryant as he couldn't wait to learn under Fluttershy. If she could do that on the dueling field, then he couldn't wait to see what she taught him.
"Damn." said Jack as he kicked the ground. "She's good."
"Don't get too discouraged." said Isaac as he approached the kid. "You did good, not bad for taking on Fluttershy. But you did make a few errors. You're major one is summoning your Jinzo since it didn't allow you to play any of your trap cards and based on what was in your hand, you had something to survive Fluttershy's attack."
"How did..." asked Jack.
"I can tell by your expression on your face." said Isaac. "Not to mention that the only monster you have in your Extra Deck is your Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke. Which means you don't have much versatility in the way of your Extra Deck. Similar to another person that I knew who had a deck that started out like that." said Isaac as he pointed to Rainbow. "She was the same way, thinking that she didn't need to anymore cards since she was content with how it played. But eventually she accepted my help and together we improved her deck. I believe she can do the same for you."
"I see." smiled Jack as he went to join the others.
"And Fluttershy!" stated Isaac as it caused the shy girl to straighten up as she approached her friend. "Good job." Isaac gave his friend a thumbs up as she had a happy expression that she gave Isaac a tight hug as she was proud. She gave him a quick kiss on his cheek as she went back to hugging him. "Alright, now let's continue with the rest of the evaluations." said Isaac as he broke the embrace.
For the next few hours, Isaac had the students compete against the girls as he wanted to see just where they were in terms of skill and compare the experience level between each one of them. He also told them to hold back against the students as he wanted to test some of his theories.
"Now I'm summoning the last of my Raidraptor Vanishing Lanius!" said Shadow Moonrise as another one of his feather friends appeared. "Now it's time, I overlay all 3 of my Vanishing Lanius to construct the Overlay Network." All 3 birds then transformed into dark orbs as they were sucked into a portal that opened in the ground as a pillar of light appeared. "From the shadows, the falcon soars on wings of courage, talons ready for the rebellion! I Xyz Summon! Witness the ascent of Raidraptor - Rise Falcon(100/2000, OLU: 3)!" Out came a giant raptor as it had its Xyz materials as it was sort of mechanical as it had a symbol on its body. "Now I activate my monster's special ability, by using one Overlay Unit, it gains the attack points of all your special summoned monsters on the field till the end of the turn. Now it makes my Rise Falcon the strongest monster on the field! And it can attack all of those monsters once per turn." shouted Shadow as his creature shot up in strength.
"Now take our those puny petunias! Ravaging Rebellion!" shouted Shadow as his raptor soared high into the sky as it encased in flames as it hurled itself at Applejack's monsters and won him the duel.
"Performapal Sleight Hand Magician destroy her monster!" shouted Bryant as he had his monster start to charge towards Rainbow's creature.
"Not gonna happen, Clear Wing Synchro's ability allows to negate your effect and then destroy it all together!"
"It can what?!" said Bryant as he was shocked to hear that.
"Go Reverse Revenge!" shouted Rainbow as her dragon repelled the effect and took out Performapal Sleight Hand Magician. "And since my dragon destroyed your monster, it gains the attack points of your monster." Clear Wing then had it stats rose up as it let out a roar. "Time to end this! Spin Storm Sky Strike!" said Rainbow as her monster took out Bryant's remaining life points.
"Now by the power of a Synchro Summoning, these two Blackwings will beat as one! Soar to power, Black-Winged Dragon!" Out came a powerful monster as it let out a roar. "Now I'll have my Black-Winged Dragon attack your Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle!" shouted Penny.
"That's why I had this ready, reveal my last facedown card, Rainbow Gravity!" Soon all 7 Crystal Beasts of Rarity's appeared as their images appeared before they turned into pillars of light as they created a rainbow. "Now since I have 7 Crystal Beasts with different names on my field, I can special summon my Rainbow Dragon!'" Out came Rarity's ultimate monster as it shined the brightest. "Now the other effect of my Rainbow Gravity activates which means all your other monsters are now forced to attack my Rainbow Dragon." stated Rarity.
"Oh no!" said Penny as she watched her monster be destroyed and the remainder of her life points drop.
"I fuse together my Lunalight Cat Dancer and Lunalight Blue Cat." Amber's two monsters then started to merge together as a new brand of creature was being born. "By combining the reflexes of a fierce feline with the fluttering fury of a night time huntress, I can create a new lunar legend! I Fusion Summon! Now appear, sleek creature of the night, and ready those razor-sharp claws! Lunalight Panther Dancer is on the prowl! And now to take out your monsters. So say goodbye!" Amber then had her monster lock its eyes on Twilight's High Priestess of Prophecy as she managed to take out her monster and the remaining life points.
"Blue-Eyes, finish this! Attack Red-Eyes B. Dragon with White Lightning Attack!" shouted Jason as he had his dragon take out Sunset's monster with ease. Sunset's dragon did the best to protect its mistress from harm as Sunset stood her ground.
"Now Harpie Ladies Sisters, take out Toon Buster Blader!" shouted Lucky Star as she had her monsters take out Pinkie's last remaining monster.
With that the final evaluations had taken place as Isaac watched and wrote down the results. He was able to see the results from each of the students as he made notes on what they did well and what they needed to work on.
"Not bad, all of you. You all did the best you could, now either you won or lost doesn't matter."
"Then what was the point of us winning?" asked Shadow as he pointed to the ones that actually won their matches.
"The point was to see your skill level and see where you are compared to others." said Isaac. "But don't let that get to your head, overconfidence is the biggest thing that can affect your performance." said Isaac.
"Couldn't have said it, better than myself." spoke another voice. The voice belonged to none other than Shining Armor as he had made a surprise appearance.
"Shining Armor?!" shouted Twilight as she was shocked to see her own brother standing here.
"Sup, Twily." said Shining Armor as he approached his sister and gave her a hug.
"What... what are you doing here?" asked Twilight.
"Well, I just got back in town and am resting before I head out on my next trip. So I'd figured why not surprise my sister at her school and see how she's doing. Though I didn't figure that she now be teaching."
"Well, that's actually my idea." said Isaac as he now looked in the eyes of one of his greatest rivals. Isaac than began to talk with Shining Armor as he told the world champion about his idea to start this program and how it could help CHS in the long run. While the boys were chatting, the group of students were talking among themselves.
"Guys, is that really the world champion?" asked Jack.
"Sure looks like him." said Bryant.
"What's he doing here at this school?" asked Lucky Star.
"I'm guessing he knows this group." stated Amber.
"Champion, correct? What kind of deck does he use?" asked Jason.
"Duh, it's a Blue-Eyes deck. And he's unstoppable." informed Penny.
"Hmm." Soon Jason started to stand up as he made his way towards Isaac and Shining Armor. "Pardon me, Isaac. But I want to face Shining Armor."
"Excuse me?" said Isaac.
"Look I hear he's got a Blue-Eyes deck, and so do I. Just give me this challenge, please." pleaded Jason.
"Look, I can't..."
"It's fine, Isaac." said Shining Armor. "Let the kid have his fun, besides I want to see what kind of power he has with his cards." Shining Armor then looked at Jason as he could tell that the kid wouldn't be satisfied until his request was made. The funny thing was that Shining Armor was here for his own request but it would seem that would have to be put on the backburner for the time being.
"Are you sure you want this?" asked Isaac. "Shining Armor is not someone to be taken lightly."
"I'm not scared." said Jason with some overconfidence in his voice.
"Alright then, everybody clear some space!" shouted Isaac as he, the girls and the students all made their way to the bleachers as they prepared to let both of the boys prepared to duel.
"Opponent detected. Streaming data. Duel mode set. Initiating. Commencing duel." said their duel disks.
Shining Armor's Life Points: 8000-
Jason Starr's Life Points: 8000-
"I'll let you have the first move." said Shining Armor.
Turn 1: Jason
"Don't try to show me pity, I want to duel against the best this place has to offer." said Jason as he drew his card. "I'll start by summoning my Maiden with Eyes of Blue." said Jason as a women appeared in her natural beauty. "I'll then lay one card facedown and end my turn."
Turn 2: Shining Armor
Solid play from the kid, but he's not me. Shining Armor then drew his card as he looked at it and had a smile on his face. "I'll start by playing my Cards of Consonance, so I'll discard The White Stone of Ancients from my hand to draw two cards." Shining Armor then sent his card away as he picked up some more cards. "Next, I'll activate Forbidden Chalice. So I'll raise your Maiden's power by 400 but it's effects are negated."
"Still since you target my Maiden with Eyes of Blue, I can activate its effect to summon a Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my hand." said Jason as he had one of his powerful monsters appear on his field.
Shining Armor just simply laughed at the roar that his opponent's monster decided to let out. "That may be, but now you can't use your Maiden's other effect. And as for me... well my turn is far from done. Now I summon Kaibaman and then I'll activate Kaiba's man effect to summon my own Blue-Eyes from my hand. Bear witness to the real Blue-Eyes master!" shouted Shining Armor as his dragon appeared and gave a much more fierce and intimidating roar that caused everybody to cover their ears.
"Now, I'll play Burst Stream of Destruction. And so my Blue-Eyes wipe out his entire field!" shouted Shining Armor. His dragon then opened its mouth as it took out Jason's entire field with ease. "Luck for you, I can't attack with my Blue-Eyes this turn. But that won't matter, cause now I set one card facedown and end my turn. In my end phase, the effect of the White Stone of Ancients activates, since I discarded it earlier in my turn. I can special summon another Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my deck." Shining Armor now had 2 great beasts as they carried such a presence.
"Anybody getting flashbacks to when Isaac dueled against Shining Armor?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"Yup!" said all the girls.
"Woah!" said the students as they were impressed by the skills that the world champion was doing.
Turn 3: Jason
"You may have 2 dragons on the field, but that's about to change. My turn." said Jason as he drew his card. "I'll start by playing Interrupted Kaiju Slumber. This spell allows me to destroy all monsters on the field and then I can summon 2 'Kaiju' monster from my deck with one on my side and the other on your side. But they can't change position and must attack." with that Shining Armor had both of his monsters destroyed as they were blasted off the field, but he wasn't worried.
"So I'll summon Gameciel, the Sea Turtle Kaiju(2200/3000) from my deck to your field. And for me I'll summon Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju(3000/1200). But before I attack, I'll play Trade-In, so I'll discard my Lava Golem to pick up 2 more cards. Now Dogoran attack Gameciel!" shouted Jason as his monster launched his attack and took out its target.
Shining Armor's Life Points: 7200-
"Not much of a champion if you let your opponent get the first hit. Especially when I play this, I reveal my facedown, Elemental Absorber. So I'll remove one of my Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon from play and as a result, all the monsters that you have on the field that are of the same Attribute can't attack." smiled Jason.
"Talk about a rock and a hard place." said Pinkie.
"No kidding, especially cause my brother relies on his Blue-Eyes to win."
"I'll end my turn with a facedown. Let's see what else you got." taunted Jason.
Turn 4: Shining Armor
"My turn, now I'll play Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards. Then I'll play Melody of Awakening Dragon. So now I discard one card in my hand so that I can add up to 2 Dragons with 3000 or more attack points and 2500 defense points or less from my deck." Shining Armor then had two cards slot out for him to grab as he had a smile on his face. "Now I'll play Polymerization to fuse my third Blue-Eyes White Dragon in my hand with the 2 Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragons. I Fusion Summon, Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon!" Shining Armor's great new beast let out a cry as everybody who looked at it was given a bit of a scare.
"Now my Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon's effect activates, since I used 'Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon' to summon it, I can now destroy 3 cards on your field so say goodbye to your monster as well as both of your cards in your backrow." Shining Armor's dragon then clear out Jason's entire field as he had nothing.
"I'll now activate the effect of the card you sent to the graveyard during your turn. I activate my Waking of Dragon trap card, so now I can special summon 1 monster from my Extra Deck. So arise, Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon(2500/3000) in defense mode!" shouted Jason as he had his monster.
"You know that I could this duel right now if I wanted to." said Shining Armor as he had the serious of all looks. "But you wanted to challenge me, so I'll give you a chance. There's one card that's in my deck and once I draw it, I'll immediately play it and end this duel. So you have till then to see if you really are as good as you say. So, time's ticking kid. Let's see if you can cash in the check that your ass is writing." shouted Shining Armor as he ended his turn.
Turn 5: Jason
"Shining Armor is serious." said Isaac as he knew that kind of look from his rival. All the girls and the students were now scared by what Isaac just said.
"My turn." Okay, so all I have to do is beat the world champion before he summons, whatever card he draw. No pressure, just got to find some way to take down that beast. "My draw, this might work. "First I'll activate Azure-Eyes' ability, with it I can target a Normal monster in my graveyard and summon it to the field during my Standby Phase, so arise Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" Blue-Eyes then rose up on Jason's side as it let out a roar. "With that, until the end of the next turn, neither player can target my Dragon monsters with card effects nor can they be destroyed by card effects. Then I'll play the spell card, Dark Ruler No More. With this I can negate the effects of your Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon, but for the rest of the turn, you take no damage."
"Every well, but how will you take down my beast?" stated Shining Armor.
"Like this, I play Raigeki to destroy your giant beast." said Jason as a thunderbolt took out Shining Armor's mighty dragon.
"I'll play a monster in defense mode and end my turn."
Turn 6: Shining Armor
"My turn, and let's see if this is when I end this duel." Shining Armor then slowly picked up his card as he looked at it. Nothing was said on his part as it caused everybody to worry. "Looks you survive... for now. I summon The King of D. Now I'll discard a card to add Dragon Revival Rhapsody to my hand. Now I'll have my monster take out your facedown monster." said Shining Armor as his monster took out Jason's set monster.
"The monster you attacked was my Morphing Jar. Now we send all the cards in our hand and then draw 5 new cards." said Jason as both he and Shining Armor drew new cards.
"I may not have gotten the card I'm looking for, but you helped me with another plan." smiled Shining Armor. "So prepare yourself, I'll place one card facedown and end my turn." said Shining Armor.
Turn 7: Jason
"Like that's suppose to scare me." said Jason. "Time for me to end this duel. Now, I draw. I'll activate the effect of my Spiral Galaxy Dragon(2500/2500) since I control 2 Light Dragon monsters, I can special summon this monster in defense mode. Then I'll play Monster Reborn to bring one of my Blue-Eyes; then I'll activate the effect of my Azure Eyes Silver Dragon to bring back another Blue-Eyes White Dragon." Jason now had a field full of dragons as he looked to finish off Shining Armor.
"Impressive." said Lucky Star.
"Seems he might actually beat the world champion." said Shadow.
"Time to end this, I overlay both of my Level 8 Blue-Eyes White Dragons to build the Overlay Network." Both of Jason's dragons then turned into orbs of light as they were being sucked into a portal in the ground as a pillar of light emerged. "I Xyz Summon, Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon(3000/2500, OLU: 2)!" Out came a new breed of dragon as it let out a huge roar that caused the room to shake a bit. "Now I'll attack your King of D. with my Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon. But first I'll activate my dragon's effect, at the start of the Battle Phase, I can detach an overlay unit so that I can negate the effect of all of your faceup monsters."
"Hold on, I'll reveal my facedown, Negate Attack. So now your battle phase comes to an end." said Shining Armor as he managed to avoid defeat with ease.
"Damn it!" shouted Jason. "I'll end my turn."
Turn 8: Shining Armor
"My draw, first I'll play Pot of Desires, now I banish the top ten cards of my deck facedown and draw 2 cards." said Shining Armor as a huge chunk of his deck was taken out as he drew his cards. "Then I play Soul Release so that I can remove my 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons, Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon and Kaibaman from play."
"Okay, anybody want to explain why the world champion did that?" asked Amber.
"Seems kinda of waste, if you ask me." mentioned Bryant.
"Just want are you planning, Shining Armor." said Isaac to himself as he knew that Shining Armor had a reason for doing such a move.
"Now, I'll just lay a card facedown and end my turn." said Shining Armor.
Turn 9: Jason
"Guess, you were wrong in saying that I couldn't cash in the check that my ass was writing. Cause I'm about to collect." said Jason as he drew his card. "Now I'll switch all of my dragons to attack mode. Time to finish this, Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon take out his King of Dragons." stated Jason with pride and confidence in his voice as his dragon took out Shining Armor's monster.
Shining Armor's Life Points: 4800-
"I activate my facedown, Shrink. So now I can cut the attack points of a monster in half. And I choose... my King of Dragons." said Shining Armor as his monster powered down to 600.
"Why do that?" asked Jason. At the moment something began to happen as Shining Armor was smiling.
"So that this can take effect, cause now I activate my second facedown, Crush Card Virus!" shouted Shining Armor. Soon a virus started to enter Jason's duel disk as his entire deck was being affected.
"What's going on?!" asked Jason. Soon he looked to his field as all of his dragons were letting out sick cries as they felt the powerful effect of Shining Armor's card was taking full effect. Soon all of Jason's dragons disappeared as he was now left with an empty field. "Where did all my monster's go?"
"My Crush Card Virus is responsible for all this. As we speak my Crush Card Virus is infecting your hand, field, and deck. Now for the rest of this duel, any monster in your hand that has a draw with 1500 or more attack points is immediately destroyed; plus any monster on your field with 1500 or more is immediately destroyed and don't even think about special summoning any monsters with 1500 or more because they'll suffer the same fate as well." said Shining Armor.
"Okay, now that's powerful move." said Penny as she along with the rest of the students were shocked by what Shining Armor was able to do and completely shutdown Jason's deck as nearly his entire deck was now rendered useless.
"I gave you a chance, and it looks like you failed." said Shining Armor as he had a serious look.
"I-I... set a card facedown." muttered Jason as he had nothing to do.
Turn 10: Shining Armor
"Time to end this." Shining Armor then drew his card as he looked at it. "Now I'll reveal the card I set since my first turn, Return from the Different Dimension! Now by paying half of my life points, I can special summon as many of my banished monsters as possible. So arise my my 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons, Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon and Kaibaman." shouted Shining Armor as he now had a field full of monsters.
Shining Armor's Life Points: 2400-
"Impossible." said Jason as he stared at the sight in front of him.
"Looks like you still have a lot to learn." said Shining Armor as he looked at his opponent as he was disappointed. "Word of advice kid, know when you're in over your head, cause if you don't then you'll get severely hurt. Now I sacrifice my 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons!" Shining Armor's monsters then turned into energies as their spirits were being used as the card that Shining Armor had drawn was now being held high as the power was being seeped into it. "I now summon Obelisk the Tormentor(4000/4000)!"
"What did he say?!" shouted all of the girls and the students as they couldn't believe what Shining Armor was playing. Isaac just had a calm and collected look on his face as he looked to his deck box on his side as he could sense both Ra and Slifer as they detected their comrade's presence.
Soon a giant monster emerged onto the field as it have a mean look as it let out a cry.
"Is that really Obelisk?" asked Jason as he fell down on his bottom.
"Indeed, now a taste of its power. I activate Obelisk's ability, now I tribute my Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon and Kaibaman so that Obelisk's attack rises to infinity!" Obelisk heard Shining Armor's command as he grabbed both of Shining Armor's other monsters in his hand as he absorbed their power with ease as its eyes glowed as the strength rose. "Now, finish off the kid, with your Fist of Fury!!" said Shining Armor as he had his hand out. Obelisk then raised his fist as it was surrounded by a powerful force and then it thrusted his hand out as it made contact with Jason who was thrown onto his back as he felt the attack of the god card.
Jason's Life Points: 0-
Winner: Shining Armor
The duel ended as Shining Armor smiled and he looked at Obelisk as before it disappeared. The girls and their students all had their jaws drop as they couldn't believe what they saw. Isaac was the only one who moved as he went to check on Jason.
"Now you know why I'm the world champ. Don't forget it, kid." said Shining Armor as he looked at the kid who was starting to stir at Shining Armor as he just put his head down in disappointment. "With that done, now I can take care of the business that I'm here for. Isaac."
Isaac then stood from checking up on Jason as he looked at Shining Armor in the eyes.
"I come with a request. One that I need to have fulfilled. It's something that has been eating away at me for a long time, it's like a cancer inside my soul and body. And the only way I'll have closure is if you grant my request. Isaac, I challenge you to one final duel." stated Shining Armor.
The girls and their students were shocked by what they were hearing. At that point, all of time seemed to slow down as if it was frozen. Isaac had heard this as he just looked at Shining Armor with a scowl of his own. Nothing was said as Isaac just stared. Not a word.

Shining Armor has Obelisk?! Since when?!

I had had a feeling Shining had Obelisk. Love it. Also loved the duel with Fluttershy. You did a good job showing off Jack. Thanks.
A pretty good chapter.
Showing off some of the OCs and how they act.
A bit surprised Shining Armor would have Obelisk there. He pretty much went overkill right there.
Though I wonder was Spike there to see it? I thought since Sci-Twi now decided to bring him with her to the intern thing and brought him to school literally just days before the first day of school, it would mean she would start bringing him to school with her and other places like she should(if she was ever willing to bring him to Crystal Prep at all despite it risked her education especially when she was so into education).
Its disappointing if turns out Sci-Twi decided to regress and not bring Spike, especially since he missed out on this important thing with the students but also the fact Shining Armor came by and showed he had Obelisk. This is like the 3rd time Spike missed out on something big with Shining Armor's duels(such as the Friendship Games and graduation duel) due to Sci-Twi decided to be too afraid of bringing Spike with her despite she literally brought up to places such as Crystal Prep before.
Its hard to tell if she did brought Spike or not to here since there was no mention of him there.
Both duels in this chapter were pretty fine to see.
Though a few errors on the Shining Armor one:
Flute Of Summoning Dragon needs Lord of D. to be on the field in order to activate.
What did Shining mean by summoning 2 Blue Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragons, did you mean he was summoning two Blue Eyes Alternative Dragons?
Waking The Dragon's effect would have activated on the moment it got destroyed, not waiting till next turn.
And Azure-Eye's revival effect only works during the Standby Phase.
Shining can't summoned these banished monsters since they were banished face-down rather than face-up.
If a card is banished face-down, its really hard to get the card back since cards that specify what type of card to retrieve can't' get to them due to by the rulings, that banished card's card type is not known nor the name of the card(if the card specifics the card's name in some way to retrieve it) if its face-down, therefore making those face-down banished cards invalid to that.
Psy-frame Omega can retrieve them due to it specifics cards in general to retrieve from the banished pile, not depending on what card type or what part of name that card has.

That or he gotten it from that person who gave Ra to Celestia due to how Shining was a pretty iconic duelist in Crystal Prep.
