Loved it, despite the... peculiarity of its ending.:rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh:

I... hrgnh. What the fuck man. That dog's so shaggy it needs hedge clippers.

Okay, fine. :facehoof:

But my question is why are these two speaking so... posh?

I might have been punch drunk when writing this I swear the pun is unintentional.

9299773
Well it was definitely a punch in the face to end a nice story. :raritywink:

I am VERY tempted to down vote this story for ending on such a TERRIBLE pun ~.~

*Siiiigh*

...Upvote.

Some ponies get morose when they're hosed, or cheery when they're beery, or they grouse when they're soused; a rare few, though, get posh when they're sloshed.

I feel the need to point out that "Tempest Shadow" is a nom de guerre. (Granted, it could also be a nom de plume if Templepop Berryshade published something under it.)

Tempest raised an eyebrow. "Aren't you like ten years older than her?"

Sunset grew red again. "She's very mature for her age!"

"And I'm, well... not. Spend long enough in a high school, you acclimate to it."
"Uh huh."
"I'm not the one on trial here."
"Oh, this is a trial now? And I thought you ponies were so forgiving."
"Look, my Twilight shattered reality when she was sixteen. She can make her own decisions."

In any case, I'm not sure what I expected, but this was certainly an entertaining scene. Thank you for it.

Too early in the morning, clearly; it took until reading this comment for me to even register what that last line was.

*skulldesk*

*Upvote*

Blame it on the slosh, got you feeling posh, blame it on the a-a-a-a-a-a-alcohol.

https://m.

I realized that “Pen name” wasn’t technically the right term, but figured if I didn’t know the technical definition without looking it up, it wouldn’t be surprising that Tempest wouldn’t either.

*slow clap*

Well played, ST. Well played.

Oh goddamn that was so horrible it hurt :facehoof:

It also made me chuckle for five minutes straight. Have an upvote, but damn that line deserves a down one :ajbemused:

?

........

...................

.... oh.

OH.

OOOOOH, OH, OHHH.

I need some peanuts to throw at you for that one.

What the masses think of this fic...

So do you just start with the end and work your way backwards, or does it kind of come up fully formed like an epiphany?

9302134
I started with the end then wrote the beginning then sort of just filled in things in between. Thanks for asking.

Dammit, Tramp. :ajbemused:

Good job. :ajsmug:

Oh no! Tempest's story has no juicy juice hypotenuse!

9302341
Earlier in the night, there was quite a line! If the (straight) line of ponies waiting for punch extended 12 feet out along the y axis and 35 feet out along the x axis, how long was the line in total?

Tempest really IS a monster. And so are you.

9302753
Assuming that all the ponies are on the same plane, so no stairs, then using the Pythagorean Theorem, it would be the square root of the sum of 12 squared and 35 squared, which would result in a total length of 37 feet.

I guess when the show beat you to the joke in 2011, the only logical recourse is to quadruple down.

Holy fuck I think that pun gave me physical pain. :pinkiesick: And I like puns.

You dare make me read that with my own eyes? :twilightangry2: thumbs up

Thank you for the clarification, very important.

Sunset grinned. "You should talk to Rainbow Dash. I bet she could set you two up."

Tempest took another sip and returned the grin. "Perhaps I will."

Okay but I need this for reasons

Well said, Meatwad. Well said.

Well, I was a little worried about the amount of comedy this story contained... then the ending arrived. I was still worried, but also amused :trollestia:

Now I kind of want a punch bowl with actual spikes in the interior.

I need more of this in my life. XP

Good thing I’m running a feghoot contest, eh?

Horror enveloped Sunset. Tempest’s story had no punch line.

Tempest is 4chan ponified
let that sink in.

9300284
Blame it on the rain, yeah, yeah.

I need to give Aqua Teen Hunger Force another watch next time I'm high.
