This story is a sequel to The Garden of Ideology

Nut, an unflappably polite young professional, is joined by Potato Blossom, his ward and pupil. Together, they have returned to Vanhoover, the place where Nut calls home. The city is a strange place for Potato Blossom, a filly shunned by her isolated, insular community.

Though he is an evolutionary biologist, or desires to be, Nut is charged by his professors to document Potato Blossom's integration into complex society. She becomes his project for university, a project that will have far-reaching influences upon his academic and scholarly future.

Plucked off of the farm, Potato Blossom must adapt, overcome, thrive, and survive in a city utterly hostile to her needs, wants, and desires. Vanhoover is cold, in both the literal and figurative sense, indifferent, and it seems as though the rains never cease.

Potato Blossom's survival means Nut's evolution into something greater... but what, exactly?

A tale sprouted in the Weedverse.

This story is a sequel to Synthetic Bottled Sunlight

A gift for NorrisThePony. Set in the same 'verse as Synthetic Bottled Sunlight, you have to read it to understand what's happening here and it's really good anyway. Why haven't you read it yet? There's some spoilers in here too.

Celestia is writing a book and won't let Nightmare Moon read it so Nightmare Moon decides to annoy her as much as possible.

The scope of the multiverse is so tremendously beyond the comprehension of most beings that, if they were to truly know what it meant, they would break down and be unable to live their lives the way they wished. Most worlds are lucky to be blissfully unaware of the true picture of reality, never to encounter the higher forces and civilizations.

However, when one of those higher forces make contact with one of those unaware worlds - intentionally or not, peacefully or not - everything will change drastically. Sometimes the change is slow, sometimes rapid. Regardless of the pacing, like all change, it is both good and bad. Civilizations have risen from simple worlds overnight and have crumbled just as quickly. Many can't handle the revelation, and those that can are not always the best examples of honor and dignity.

It is often said that each world - each universe - has a Song, and that all these Songs are related, intertwining together in a mesh of powerful destiny among the Spheres of the multiverse.

This is the story of how a certain world inhabited by Technicolor ponies found their Song and how it interwove itself in the Songs of so many others.

This is a story of finding meaning in infinite possibility.

This is a mega-crossover project of immense proportions covering dozens of fandoms. However, it is written in such a way that no previous knowledge of any of them - not even the ponies - will be required. The only warning is that there will be spoilers for any franchise you haven't seen.

There are several side-stories being written for Songs of the Spheres by several authors, and links to them can be found in our Fimfiction group, including links to non-pony related stories. There's also a Discord chat. Lastly, we have a Spacebattles forum. Discussion about the multiverse, setting, and future events can also be found there if you don't mind spoilers.

Celestia has many titles and duties and there are always things that remind her of this. They could be ponies or objects, perhaps even something more abstract and symbolic. Today is one such reminder of one of the lesser known roles, which she was never acknowledged for. She's even afraid to acknowledge it herself no matter how often the date repeats.

It's been just a little over two hundred years after the death of Princess Twilight's closest friends. For some, coping with a loved one's death can be an easy and manageable feat; For Twilight however, it is impossible to cope with. Now grudges have grown, festering against certain ponies because of it. No one, not even Spike has been capable of cheering her up. Getting her to her senses, getting her to even smile has proved to be an insurmountable task. Now the only question on most ponies’ minds is: Will Princess Twilight be capable of getting over their deaths or will she sink into a pit of despair and forever be lost in a maze of depressed, and if so, what possible harm could this cause herself and others...?
