-GM, master of... ( Discord | Patreon )

The scope of the multiverse is so tremendously beyond the comprehension of most beings that, if they were to truly know what it meant, they would break down and be unable to live their lives the way they wished. Most worlds are lucky to be blissfully unaware of the true picture of reality, never to encounter the higher forces and civilizations.

However, when one of those higher forces make contact with one of those unaware worlds - intentionally or not, peacefully or not - everything will change drastically. Sometimes the change is slow, sometimes rapid. Regardless of the pacing, like all change, it is both good and bad. Civilizations have risen from simple worlds overnight and have crumbled just as quickly. Many can't handle the revelation, and those that can are not always the best examples of honor and dignity.

It is often said that each world - each universe - has a Song, and that all these Songs are related, intertwining together in a mesh of powerful destiny among the Spheres of the multiverse.

This is the story of how a certain world inhabited by Technicolor ponies found their Song and how it interwove itself in the Songs of so many others.

This is a story of finding meaning in infinite possibility.

This is a mega-crossover project of immense proportions covering dozens of fandoms. However, it is written in such a way that no previous knowledge of any of them - not even the ponies - will be required. The only warning is that there will be spoilers for any franchise you haven't seen.

There are several side-stories being written for Songs of the Spheres by several authors, and links to them can be found in our Fimfiction group, including links to non-pony related stories. There's also a Discord chat. Lastly, we have a Spacebattles forum. Discussion about the multiverse, setting, and future events can also be found there if you don't mind spoilers.

Has a TV Tropes page now. Needs love.

You know, this could be sort of a sequel to the Influence. Not right now, obviously, but in the future, maybe.

Ah, on fimfiction now, eh? glad to hear. and I'm excited to see more chapters as you write them.

Just wondering before I read this

Is pinkies cutie mark supposed to represent the oversaturated world

Nah, her mark is balloons and literally just means she's good at throwing parties. Though it has come to represent the element of Laughter itself.

-GM, master of balloon.

N I meant on the cover

Oh, the symbols on the cover represent individuals, characters, as well as having other symbolic meanings. Some you are supposed to recognize now, others, not until later.

-GM, master of COMMENTUS.

Let's see...
Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Legend of Zelda in general,
Avatar: The Last Airbender (blue arrow),
Stargate: SG-1,
and one or two other series (one of them would be the flower/knot thing that looks familiar, and the other would be the tower if it isn't the top of Wan Shi Tong's Library)

Edit: This is just what I can figure out from looking at the cover image

Btw the m symbol, is that from that scorpion celestial spirit

It is the Scorpio Astrological Sign, yes.

-GM, master of Locks.

.......oh shit tempest!!

Cool I recognize that symbol when he and Cana were card dueling

The Scorpio sign itself is a general sigh based on the Zodiac legend - it has nothing to do with anyone named Cana. ...fairy tail right? Has nothing to do with that. Sorry if I was confusing.

-GM, master of green.

Well I know this story doesn't have something to do with Fairy Tail, but I saw that Zodiac symbol on the show and that's what I meant to say

It was like a mask. A flat, red mask with four eyeholes and angular spines off the top and sides. There was a small opening under the pointed bottom - presumably a mouth - where to mandibles hung out.

At the end, the "to" should be "two"

Fixed, thanks!

-Gm, master of JAY JAY JAYS

"Sorry," Twilight recanted. "It's just... I don't know where they want and... Yes I know I should trust you more."

"Want" should be "went".

Man, I love where this story is going so far. Keep at it!

If you spot any spelling, grammar or word misplacement mistakes at all, don't be afraid to point them out, as a friend of the author, I know that he loves correcting his mistakes.

Marvelous. Keep up the good work.

The spark she'd seen in every pony she ever met - a spark she hadn't even been consciously aware of until today. Looking into the pony of a gaze and not seeing it really brought it to the forefront...

Shouldn't that be "gaze of a pony" instead?

This seems very promising, I'll be reading more of it later.

Thanks! Fixed!

-GM, master of FIXES.

Nice subtle Undertale reference. :trixieshiftright:

I really enjoyed this chapter, being a huge fan of the Legend of Zelda series. The presence of Midna confuses me very much as I can't quite process a plausible explanation. Otherwise, much fun was had reading this. The green crescent/wave symbol on the cover art made me think of Legend of Zelda, specifically Oracle of Ages. Close enough for me. :moustache:

On a grammar/spelling note, I've seen "Rarity" misspelled as "Rairty" on a few occasions, and not just in this chapter. I only noticed after catching it in this chapter that it wasn't the first time. :facehoof:

Well it does take place in the same multiverse, wouldn't be surprised to see twi in the future.

...You guys are both in the forum you KNOW it's related somehow. What's with the 'maybe' charade?

-GM, master of maybe.

i wonder if mlp g1 will make a appearance ......or the conversion bureau?

Well I'm pretty sure twilence will make an apprentice not sure about those.

Green, are you assuming that someone other than yourself has just as much knowledge that you yourself has? Who's Twilence?

I suppose I am assuming things. Twilence is a version of twilght from the influence. You read it I think. For everyone else it's a story that ties in with this one. It's not necessary to read but I think it's interesting. https://www.fimfiction.net/story/369593/the-influence
Suppose you could ask gm about that.

Conversion Bureau is a *possibility,* but don't hold me to that since I haven't read it in depth.

G1 will definitely appear, though likely more as a joke or meta-commentary than a full chapter/indepth exploration.

-GM, master of figs.

gargoyles? gi joe? movie avengers?,,,,,,,,darkstalkers? not that i think flutterbat meeting morrigan would be a bad thing

There was a thump behind them that interrupted their conversation. Sparky had just landed flat on her face, glasses falling into the grass. “…Observation: four legs does not make it easier to stand as hypotheses would suggest.”

Got to admit, this got a laugh put of me :rainbowlaugh:

Considering the setting I could see that happening. There is a discord sever to discuss this stuff further.

Maybe, probably not, definitely in some form, I have no idea what on earth is darkstalkers?

And yeah, as Green said there is a Discord chat you can join to offer suggestions, write things, and just hang out if you like to do that thing. Though talking here is fine as well, don't feel pressured by the WALL OF GREEN.

-GM, master of Mister Green Himself. I have my leash on you.

Darkstalkers is a series of 2d fightning games. I do need to stop be pushy here.😅

i mean if you played any of the marvel vs capcom games or project x zone 1 and 2.......she was the chick fighting iron man in the mvc3 opening credits.....shes .....a succubus i believe kinda .....promiscuous......she can be nice when she wants to be but yet shes the kinda girl most mothers warn u about when guys started hitting puberty granted a romp around her mulberry bush will pretty much kill you.....by slowly sucking the life out of u there.....kinda like vampires but succubi feed through sex not blood

Wow, this chapter was executed wonderfully. I will definitely look forward to seeing more upcoming chapters.

so despite all that that pinkie was the villain

Wow. This chapter just leaves so many open questions... Who were Applejack's companions? Was this world's Celestia actually evil? What were the mystical artifacts that Sage Pinkie wanted? And why did she need them? Is there any significance that the man of light and unicorn passed through this world? What will the Spectacularium do with its newfound intelligence? If Pinkie is one side of the coin, who is the other? Why is the blue flavor so anomalous? And many more questions!

The best part about this kind of story is that I have no idea if these questions will ever be answered. I hope at least some of them will though...

Like to know what happnes ot the Apple Jack, does she go crazy realzing whata monster she become?
Does she redeem ehrself one day or so?

Will they run into the seemly evil Pinkie pie from this world again?

The sage paused. “I mean that since the five entered the world, all certainty in prophecies has vanished.”

Applejack’s eye twitched, turning to Twilight. “What did you do?”

“N-nothing!” Twilight stammered.

“She speaks the truth,” the sage said. “It is merely the fact that the prophecies did not take into account the possibility of other worlds existing.”

Bahaha! Priceless!

Would be interesting to see element bender pones. Avatar: The Last Alicorn for reference

nice work with this so far; i'm loving it. sorry about not commenting sooner, but i have a hard time reading through chapters that over 5000 words; not say i don't like the story in any way it just means it'll take me a bit longer then most to get through it

an .....universal alliance huh something like a multi-universal united nations embassy might be useful

yeah The ending was stupid.
I would like it were you showed that their travels do not always lead to better things.
Also wouldn't celestia make all the fire benderes even more powerful.

“I have no idea, I don’t live here. But if it is the word I’m never going to be able to take it seriously. It sounds like someone Rainbow Dash - one of my friends - would say. Alongside ‘sweet’ and ‘awesome’ and ‘rad’.”

Shouldn't "someone" be "something"?

The multiverse is run by the power of Narrative, which controls the formation of stories and contains the various tropes of entertainment. For this reason, almost every story that takes place in the SotS multiverse(which is all of them) will not end with the bad guys winning in any way. You can take a look at the forum for more information, if you don't mind the spoilers.

Celestia is the Princess of the Sun. Suns, or stars, are blobs of superheated plasma, not firey spheres. The sun has not, does not, and will not empower Fire Benders.

...and in another universe, Twilight is the Avatar, a powerful firebender, one of the last of the fire tribes, trying to save the world from the mighty water nation, led by the corrupt unicorn Nightmare Moon, also known as Luna.

Also, the Avatar managed to complete a trip on an airship without crashing? What?

I am going to say the complaints are still legitimate ones. (except the Celestia thought.) That said, I'm not afraid to go to the darker side of things. I believe it's... chapter 10 where I show one of the less 'pristine' aspects of exploration.
