This story is a sequel to Looking Glass

Sunset’s life is far from glamorous, but when she learns that Fluttershy has it even worse, Sunset can’t help but take it upon herself to solve her friend’s problems and give her a safe place to live.

For Fluttershy, the invitation is a shelter from the storm she’s spent years living in fear of. For Sunset, it becomes the hope to be part of a family for the first time in her life.

A story set in the Who We Become series.

Content Warning: Contains discussion of rape as an event that happened in the past. The assault itself will never be shown, only talked about. The sex tag is included for consensual sex. Narcotics tag is for heavy use of alcohol, no hard drugs or anything like that.

After being betrayed by her friends during the Anon a Miss incident the darkness threatens to swallow up Sunset, but there are those who want to offer a helping hand and guide her in another direction. Will she take those offered hands, or will she let herself fall to the darkness forever?

Work work work. That's all Sunset cares about. She never complains, but what truly lies inside the young woman's heart? Will a close friend be able to break the walls built around her? Or will she never know what Sunset really feels?

It’s the Christmas season, and all are at home with their families...except one. Labeling her as a scapegoat during the Anon-a-miss incident, a number of students have abducted Sunset, intending to make her pay for all the secrets she spilled....Again.
There's just one problem....She didn't.

You guys know Dainn's "Anon-A-miss" Story. But if you don't, leave now, and go read his story. This story is a direct branchoff from his, continuing immediately after chapter 5 of his story. You NEED to read his story up until chapter 5, to understand what's going on in this one.
This will be a darker telling of what goes on after chapter 5 of his story.

Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo don't admit to being Anon-a-miss, leaving the truth untold and all blame on Sunset. Feeling as though she's no longer wanted in the human world, Sunset goes back to Equestria. Little does she know, Canterlot High falls apart without her and its connection to Equestria.

Alternate ending to the 2014 Anon-a-miss comic, and takes place after Rainbow Rocks but before Friendship Games. I think...

Unable to convince her former friends she isn't Anon-a-Miss, and out of contact with Princess Twilight, Sunset gives up on everything and tries to end it all. Instead a new chapter in her life begins when she's helped by total strangers, two of whom have familiar names and faces.

As she recovers from surviving her suicide attempt, she rebuilds her life in a new home and at a new school, though lingering forces from her past refuse to allow her a fresh start.

[Do note that the self-harm isn't shown directly, and is limited to the prologue. The story is about recovering.]

Meta notes, abridged version:

Moon-Lite gave me permission to do my own version of Fall of Harmony / Like the Phoenix / Flaming Sun. This is that story.

I asked for permission to do a version because Moon-Lite is not going to do a straight-remake and the old versions are gone, thus leaving no version whatsoever on Fimfiction. I want there to be at least one version on Fimfiction.

Moon-Lite's own new story, which he described as the straight-remake being reworked --kinda-- in a very abstract way, is Phoenix.

For the longer version of the meta stuff I'll make a blog post at some point and put a link to it here when I do.

A two part story.

Sunset never liked Christmas – it was just similar enough to Hearth's Warming to make her homesick. And of course, she didn't like Hearth's Warming either. Her friends never remembered the holiday, so the most she ever had to look forward to was a 'Happy Hearth's Warming!' message in the journal. So when Heath's Warming Eve came around, she decided it was better to just drink the night away. Wrapped in a cozy blanket with a bottle of wine, she was prepared to spend her evening scowling at Christmas specials.

Then Fluttershy showed up. Suddenly the holidays didn't seem so bad.

This story has been superceded by Playing House, but left up for those interested in this version.

Fluttershy admired Rainbow Dash. Since their time together in flight school, she wondered what it would be like to say it aloud. Of course, Rainbow already knew, but saying it aloud would change everything. So it was never said.

Years later, as Rainbow, Fluttershy, and their friends are poised to step onto the stage of Equestrian politics, those words don't seem nearly so daunting. A simple question.

The answer, however, might prove enough to tear Ponyville apart at the seams.
