Of all the days to be late to school, it had to be the one with the field trip Sweetie Belle had been looking forward to all month! And she would have made it too, if it weren't for a brief argument with the laws of gravity and inertia...

It's late. So late, in fact, that it's early. The clock in the room reads well past one in the morning. There's also a storm hammering against this girl's home, trying to lull her to sleep. Stubbornly, she remains awake, drawing, surfing the internet, and basically procrastinating another night away.

So, what is it that makes this night any different from another one that she has lived through? What strange occurrence occurs that makes it stand out? That changes her life forever? That changes the course of- Oh you get the idea.

A few years have passed since Princess Luna was purged of the evil known as Nightmare Moon by the Elements of Harmony. She took back her rightful place on the throne of Equestria at her sisters side.
On a sunny day, a couple of seemingly mundane events trigger memories long forgotten. Memories of a secret Luna hast kept to herself for far too long. Facing Celestia won't be easy. But she has no choice. It is her duty to care for her subjects, and she has to retake the responsibility she could not fulfill while banished to the moon.

Inspired by Children of the Night. Cover art is a screenshot from the video. I do not know if there is an "official" story for the Children of the Night and I do not claim mine to be "canon" in the context of the video. These are just my thoughts on what might have happened back in the days.

This story takes place right before the season 4 finale.

After another failed attempt at Cutie Marks, the CMC are leaving the forest when a sonic boom startles them all.
Scootaloo thinks it's Rainbow Dash and runs off to find her, Apple Bloom following suit.

Sweeite Bell, however, goes into the forest again, where she saw a flash of light. What she finds is an injured creature laying in a crater that doesn't match even Everfree Forest weirdness.

She decides to take the creature to Flutteshy's so it can get better.

This creature however, can't remember what happened or how it got to Equestria. it's memory is vague and it is haunted by nightmares of destruction and the feeling of losing someone important to it.

Set after an alternate ending to Unova's SurvivalCrisis! from Pokemon Black and White: Rival Destinies for Pokemon and before It Ain't Easy Being Breezies for MLP.

The Cutie Mark Crusaders never got along with Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. Scootaloo hates them more then the other two, and wants nothing more then for them to disappear off the face of Equestria. Applebloom and Sweetiebelle started to learn more about Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, and what made them turn into what they are today. However Scootaloo doesn't seem to care to learn about them at all. Rarity was dragged into this conflict, and wants to know herself what happened to those two fillies to cause them to act the way they do.

Sunset Shimmer used to run the school, she used to have all the power. Then, in the act of gaining more power, she lost it all. She wasted all her time just to lose everything and sink into a deeper hole, it's all thanks to that Twilight Sparkle. But now that Sparkle is gone, she'll teach everyone that Sunset Shimmer will always shimmer on. Sunset deals with all the post mistake stress and tries to live her life. She just has to wait it out until she can make it back to Equestria after her thirty moons are over, easier said than done. She still has to deal with five annoying girls that all want to try and teach her friendship, the scary part is that Sunset is feeling forced into accepting their help. The Elements of Harmony are in her system, and whether she likes it or not they're dead-set on helping her learn friendship.

Discord's magic goes crazy as he is turned to stone. Following this a new pegasus shows up in Ponyville with no past, no cutie mark, and no knowledge of flight, but a pure heart. How do the mane 6 handle this new pony, and how does he deal with this world he is in?

Eris was raised by Discord since she was little. The Draconequus has taught her everything he knows about controlling the forces of chaos. But Know that the Elements of Harmony are no longer in control of the Princesses and surrendered back into the Tree of Harmony, Discord has a plan to uproot the peace that he hate so much.

Eris will become Twilight Sparkle's friend!

Emerald Mist, an illusionist unicorn born and raised in Manehattan, has been on a journey for several months. Searching for a certain pony, he ends up passing through the quaint town of Ponyville. What he didn't expect, however, was how much this town would change things for him. Namely, the rediscovery of an old friend he hadn't seen in years, Applejack. Seeing her again relindles old feelings in him, and he finds himself unwilling to leave.

The biggest change to his life, however, comes soon after. One awakening triggers others, and later that very same day Jade Mist emerges within him. Now having to share a mind with Jade, who claims to be a part of Emerald and vice versa, life is about to get a lot more complicated for him.

It won't be long before Emerald and Jade will have to come to face with things they've been running from. Things that could potentially ruin whatever happiness they can achieve. Their past, both remembered and forgotten, is catching up with them.

Due to it coming out after I started writing this, Rainbow Rocks both did and didn't happen. Only Equestria Girls 1 is canon to this story. Meaning that there may be references to Rainbow Rockz but it will never be acknowledged as having actually happened.

Twilight sparkle is your average girl. Except she's a genius. So to start off her senior year in high school she's transferred to the most prestigious [non-private] school in town: Cantalot High.
It's not really a big deal. She wasn't really that close with any of her friends from her old school and never really hung out that much anyway. She'll make one or two new friends here but really she'll just blend in and be another new student at the start of the year. Nothing more, nothing less... right?
Nope.
Turns out last year there was another girl who looked exactly like her and had the same name came to this school for only three days, got the entire school to vote for her as prom-queen, turned into an angel, fought a demon and then danced with the hottest guy in the school, all before returning to her home planet.
So that 'nothing more, nothing less' plan's kinda gone out the window.

The first chapter or two are a little bit dark but that’s pushed aside pretty quickly. Mostly at least, I mean the story needs some conflict after all. By chapter 3 and the whole fitting in ascept over takes it.
Originally planned to be four chapters long it was perfectly on track with that for the first three chapters. Then by that point I had gotten to many future ideas to stop.
So prepare yourself for seemingly random [though ALL of it is thoroughly planned out] encounters and my own stupid head-canon as Twilight meets the mane 6 of whom which Summer Sunset is one, her other self's former love interest Flash 'Brad' Sentry, Great and Powerful background humans including Applejack, teacher's each with their own crazy zainy quirts, Spike the 200 pound muscle-bound pitbull of absolute adorableness and whatever the CMC are called in this universe... let's call them the KND.
And of course tons of shipping jokes but there's no actual shipping in it. That last part may or may not be true.
Also that's just the way I spell Cantalot and I know it's technically wrong.

I started writing this in late October, before S4 so blame any canon errors on that and/or not caring under the guise of 'alternate universe!'.
