What better opportunity is there than going on a walk with a friend - one who has become dearer to her than she had ever been willing to believe?

Not many people know that Harpflank and Sweets has a surprisingly large non-Equestrian fanbase, being particularly popular in Fance. As with any animated feature, things changed in the translation. However, some dedicated fans have taken the time to retranslate the Fancy scripts and give us an inkling of what our cousins across the sea experienced. So, exclusively here, the retranslated script of Harpflank and Sweets: Episode 27 - Escalation.

It's a story everyone knows. Nightmare Moon wins, the Princess disappears (sun preserve her), and eternal night descends on Equestria. Darkness begets terror, and terror smothers friendship. In other words, things fall apart exactly as expected. And then ponies get on with their lives. Funny how that works.

Applejack's a natural at getting on with things. But in this world, farming just ain't an option. So what's a pony to do?

Well, in her defense, monster hunting seemed like a nice gig at the time.

The Elements of Harmony have freed Princess Luna from the clutches of Nightmare Moon, and she could not be more grateful to their bearers. For her first Hearth’s Warming since her return, Luna wishes to give each bearer a gift in thanks. However, having not spent any more time in Ponyville, she knows very little about them, and thus has no ideas on what to give them. 

Having regained her power to dreamwalk, Luna decides to search for inspiration in the Element bearers’ dreams, but upon her first foray into the Dream Realm, she finds someone she never would have expected.

Sometimes writing a letter is considered the "easier" way to communicate, but despite all its comparative "ease" it can also be one of the hardest things you ever do.

There are a few things to forewarn you of. This story deals with anti-homosexuality in a political/religious setting that closely parallels some of contemporary society. If you don't enjoy stories that mix ponies with politics, are ethically targeted or introduce elements that wouldn't fit in show-like Equestria, then this probably isn't the story for you.
