1000 years ago the Crystal Kingdom was a peaceful and thriving nation, protected by the Crystal Guardians; powerful beasts that controlled magic far beyond anyone's imagination and the defenders of the Crystal Heart, a powerful crystal tied into all of the magic of the planet Equus-G4.

But the evil King Sombra sought the power of the Crystal Heart for himself, clashing against the Guardians with his powerful Dark Magic.

Their clash ended when the Crystal Kingdom disappeared, seemingly without a trace.

At least, that's where the legend ends...

Chosen by the Crystal Guardians, a group of teenagers must learn to use their powerful magics, to become the Power Rangers: Crystal Knights!

"Crystal Knights, RISE UP!"

BEFORE YOU READ:

  • This story starts after The Return of Harmony.
  • The Ranger suits, weapons, and Zords are not based on any of the Sentai or other seasons of Power Rangers. Most of it is designed by yours truly, so please don't ask "What Sentai is this from?"
  • As usual, comments and criticisms are welcome, but no hate comments or I will block you.

Other than that, have fun! And May The Power Protect You, Always.
Edit: 10/15/23 Featured! Whoo!

There’s no end to the monsters that lurk in the dark.

Ghosts, werewolves, mad scientists, cultists, mutants, zombies, vampires, aliens and more lie in wait in the dark corners of Equestria, terrorizing the night. But the most infamous and dangerous of them all is the legendary witch Twilight Sparkle, with a five hundred million bit bounty on her head.

Seeking fame and fortune, Rainbow Dash sets out to defeat the legendary witch and collect the massive reward. The one thing she wasn't counting on was Twilight being less evil than she expected.

"Sub-Level Five doesn't exist." That's the official statement of the Stairway company.

Washing out from the Night Guard program is usually a death sentence to any similar career. When Astral Sentinel was asked if he was interested in a security job, the Thestral obviously jumped at the chance.

There was just one oddity about the job. Well, there were quite a few, but mainly just one.
He just never, ever could acknowledge the existence of Sub-Level Five.

When a complete lock-down traps the Thestral inside the odd facility, he has to break that one rule. As the security systems begin to eradicate all life inside the building, Astral has to venture down to the elevators that officially don't exist, to a floor nopony alive will speak of.

He soon finds out that some things are best left buried beneath rock and stone.

*Warning. Hitchhikers may be escaped convicts.

"This story is simultaneously horrifying and adorable." -Witchery

Takes place far after Season 9. Although, it could take place at any time...(or in the Radverse, as some people call it.) This thing took on a mind of its own.

Seriously.

Read on if you want to join Astral for the ride.
I hope you brought your crowbar.

In later chapters, loose spoilers for Timeless, Sunspots, and Cure for a Toxin
Warnings for creepy atmosphere, gore, violence, and brief mentions of sexual content/assault (nothing explicit, only implied.)

Despite this being a horror story with unpleasant elements, it's not grimdark or a depressing tale. Lots more ups and downs, but overall it's a positive read of good vs evil, love and fluff; those are the types stories I write, after all. I just want to let everyone know what they're getting into, and don't want any readers blindsided due to some of the content.
(Not a romance involving a 'herd')

But some tapes are never meant to be shared with the public...

Rarity was in for a long haul. She only had a couple weeks to complete what was turning out to be her biggest commission of the year so far. And on top of that, she had to babysit Sweetie Belle and her friends for a whole stormy week!
Thankfully, Spike has come to her rescue by handing down to her a magical device Twilight and Sunset created connecting to the so called “World Wide Web” of the human world. This is supposed to be able to keep Sweetie and her friends occupied while she works on her latest project. Apparently, it’s even able to read bedtime stories to them!

This story was inspired by Rated Ponystar’s Student Six Watch Fallout Lore: The Storyteller Series. The story that introduced me to the concept of reaction fics and one that I recommend you read sometime.

If you aren’t familiar with the Bedtime Stories channel on YouTube, I highly recommend you also check them out. Its the perfect channel for this eerie time of year that I’m currently writing this story in.

Aliens. Conspiracies. Cryptids. Ghosts. Strange Deaths. Mysteries. Other Dimensions.
These are all things both you and the CMC will experience as they sit down for some good ol’ Bedtime Stories.

For those concerned about the tags, I want to make it clear that the tags describe events that happened in the real world and that neither the CMC nor any other characters in this story suffer any tragedy. (Except for Twilight when she finds out that Spike gave away her only access to all of humanity’s knowledge.)
