Star Swirl is, quite literally, an earth pony among unicorns. One of the youngest members of Celestia's court, she struggles to find her place among the elite of Equestria. For years, she has questioned what it means to be a royal pony and whom she is actually descended from, with little to show for it. But now that Luna has returned to Equestria, Star Swirl will finally get some answers and make some great new friends along the way!

Infinite worlds. When Princess Twilight Sparkle discovers the possibility, she is determined to see and learn all she can. Her experiment goes wrong however and she accidentally pulls another pony's soul into herself. Who is Midnight Star? Twilight thinks she knows, but the mysterious Midnight has her secrets. Secrets that could cost Twilight and all of Equestria the peace and harmony the nation has known for millennia.

This story is a sequel to Equestria Mares: The Secret Apprentice of Princess Celestia

It’s been weeks after the first Princess Summit. Despite Princess Celestia’s best intentions, word has spread of the theft of the Element of Magic and the mare who took it, Sunset Shimmer. Of her transformation, and the power that threatened two worlds. For Sunset’s part, she just wants to be left alone.

Meanwhile, King Sombra is dead... but that doesn't mean he hasn't got a plan. And from the rumors he's overheard, he may have found the perfect ally for his return to power.

Sunset Shimmer read all about him as a little filly. His genius. His evil. Now, Sombra comes to Sunset in her self-imposed exile with an offer of alliance, to destroy the princesses once and for all. What will her answer be?

When newly-made Princess Twilight attends the first Princess Summit, she is concerned about many things: her new responsibilities, Celestia and Luna’s relationship, and the prospect of immortality just to name a few. But when an old enemy from Celestia’s past returns, Twilight finds herself in a battle for her life and her people, beneath the falling sky of an alien world. And just what does it mean to be a princess, anyway? Sunset Shimmer has reached her own conclusions…

(Chronology note: this story takes place betwixt seasons three and four, and is the point where my Elsequestria timeline branches most distinctly into an alternate reality [though most episodes remain compatible with it]. Therefore, while it was inspired by Equestria Girls, once the stage is set this tale makes no effort to maintain any cohesion with the original movie.)

This is an alternate universe wherein Rainbow Dash is the Element of magic, and the lives of herself and her friends have been changed, along with their respective elements. However, despite being the Element of Magic, Rainbow Dash isn't Celestia's student....that title belongs to her childhood rival, Sunset Shimmer.

In the year 2036 an asteroid dubbed "Apophis" struck the Earth and contaminated fifty percent of its water and atmosphere with an extraterrestrial pathogen dubbed "The SOL Strain." After two years, sixty percent of all human life was gone! With the world's governments struggling to keep their countries together; all seemed lost.

That is where my story begins.

My name is Chloe Cooper and I'm the only known human to be genetically immune to the SOL Virus. During the pandemic, I volunteered myself for experimentation. In order to keep me safe, I and three other humans were locked away in a vault deep within the Appalachian mountains. There these people, who I soon considered my friends, ran many tests on me and the virus, however after months without contact from above it was time to put the project to rest.

Cryostasis pods dubbed: "Cocoons" had been built in case we failed. 16,000 years later I awoke to sirens, signaling a whole host of problems.

And now? I'm the last of my kind.
