In the twining of divergent universes, this tale is a point where the two
Sister Timelines share a common fanfic.
In the Elsequestria timeline, this story follows In Vino Veritas.
In Sunset Rising, this story follows Moon Childe.
However, it also stands alone quite nicely.

Celestia is well aware that her treatment of Twilight Sparkle at the royal wedding left something to be desired.

The Sun Princess has therefore determined that an apology is the very least of what she owes. It is certainly a place to start. But... how does she even begin? For the first time in untold ages, she finds that she doesn’t know what to say.

Luna has a suggestion. And, dubiously at first, Celestia begins to put pen to parchment.

This story takes place a few days after A Canterlot Wedding, between Seasons Two and Three.

The Elsequestria timeline continues from here with Equestria Mares: Princess Celestia’s Secret Apprentice.

The Sunset Rising timeline continues from here with Twilight Sparkle Was Shot.

And, of course, the seminal story that starts it all begins here.

Alas, that is the nature of pride, my dear. Left unexamined and unchecked, it undermines the intellect.

On that note, Celestia may want to take another look at how her first reaction with things that displease her is to consign them to flames.

In any case, one of the best explanations I've seen for how Chrysalis was able to get away with her deception for so long despite being so out of character. Thank you for another brilliant story. Great Celestia character building here.

Ah yes. Another failed attempt to defend Twilight's friends abandoning her like they did. Celestia's excuses I can buy. More than usual anyway.

But the fact is, that the girls and Spike only cared about themselves. Period, and what the wedding could do for their own images and ego's. Spike is just too stupid to think for himself, and went along with the group majority.

I do like the story. Just that one little bit drove me up a wall.

I enjoyed this one quite a bit. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Great Story!

The girls did care about themselves but about the Spike thing I think he was genuinely concerned notice how he didn’t glare that putrid glare at Twilight. No I will not let that go even if Twilight was wrong the Mane 5 were jerks by abandoning her seemingly over a simple mistake.

Good story, and a nice peek into the mind of our favorite sun horse.

I know this is on little notice, but would you be adverse to some company soon? I have something I very much wish to discuss with you, and if you wouldn’t mind I would rather we spoke away from the trappings of royalty…

I believe 'averse' would fit better here.

You are so correct! Thank you for catching that! :trollestia:

I wouldn't mind the wedding if they actually all apolgozied towards Twilight face to face and not just Applejack. Frankly, it would've been more appropriate for Celestia to do so if to save face.

Yeah, it was like AJ was apologizing for all of them, and... no.

They all should have apologized, IMO. And while there’s room to assume that the Elements and Spike all did off screen at different times, I always felt that Celestia owed her the biggest apology, and most assuredly should have done so face to face.

Grammatical nitpicks, that's what I'm here for.

There were many events in the show where apologies were needed and never shown.

I quite enjoy your elements of friendship: Love, Trust, Respect

While many hours could be spent discussing the philosophy of this (components of Love VS components of friendship), I feel that simply acknowledging that there are several elements to tend to in relationships is the most vital aspect to discuss. Because, while the specific elements may be up for discussion, it is definitely true that different elements carry the weight of the relationship at different times.

I couldn’t agree more.
