Several years after the changeling invasion of Canterlot, queen Chrysalis gets an invitation to attend a cruise followed by a stay in a luxury holiday resort on an island belonging to the Griffon Empire. Supposedly, this is to introduce the new friendly changeling power in Equestria to existing nobility. Chrysalis takes one of the new infiltrators - 93, an old warrior 387, and a group of drones led by 10013 with her.

Chrysalis? Caring for the tiny and easily replaceable drones enough to give a few of them a chill two weeks? 387 doesn't buy it.

There must be something else going on... surely.

Nightmare Moon was meant to be released after a thousand years. A momentous occasion for her but terrifying for all the ponies on her day of freedom. She would get revenge on her sister and cover the world in darkness and shape everything to fit it.

That was the plan, at least. Instead, something went awry with the spell and she wasn't released when she was supposed to be. The mare-in-the-moon is brought into a world with stagnated technology, giant cities, and no sign of her sister or any of the other immortals. In fact, ponies don't seem terrified of her at all, and the stay within the core of her powers infused and changed the alicorn's body drastically.

The alicorn had no obstacles left! But...she was also a relic of the past. A past everyone seemed to have forgotten. A past she could no longer look upon.

This story is a sequel to Left Behind

After defeating the Broken Pony, Nightmare Moon is finally free to begin her plans to retake Equestria and restore it to its former glory. However, she is haunted by the ill portents she had been given and searches for signs of her sisters' fragments or the coming of any new alicorns.

On top of this, the king impedes the alicorn's work at every turn and tries to be rid of her just as frequently. So many things happening all at once and spiraling towards the doom the 'leftover tool' warned her about, but Nightmare Moon is determined. No creature will stop her goal, not even the dregs of Equestria's destroyers from so long ago.

An Alicorn Princess has many duties, all of which are to serve the ponies and work for the betterment of Equestria. Sometimes, this means opening up talks to the most unlikely of potential allies.

The lives and people of Elder Gods matter, too, and how else are these matters to be resolved, except for a cosy chat over afternoon tea?

It goes about as well as you'd expect.

Note: While this is technically a sequel to "Twilight Accidentally Swaps the Librarian with an Orangutan", the events of that story are not required to understand this. Those events are more referenced than built off of.

Wendigos are such a nuisance. Because of those detestable monsters, the three southern pony tribes are at each other's throats and are utterly miserable.

We can't feed on that.

Luckily, there is a fourth tribe, far away in the frozen north. These so-called 'Crystal Ponies' surround their home in an aura of light and love, radiating from the largest love crystal in the world!

My name is Carina, and I am an Infiltrator sent to secure the Crystal Heart for my queen. Failure means the end of my hive. Failure is not an option.

Taking that one necessary step forward to begin changing our life for the better requires a lot of courage. We must hold out our hearts and open up to others who will help us, even if we're scared of getting hurt. Life will not wait for us, so we must chase after it with all we've got. No matter how hard, how far, or impossible it may seem. We've got to find our happiness.

This is the story of one such changeling as she takes those first steps forward, her whole world changing right before her eyes.

Following Princess Twilight's coronation, Celestia and Luna retire and take an extended vacation touring Equestria. The final stop on their trip takes them to see a dear friend, and to experience, once more, what it feels like to be a changeling in his hive.

When Twilight was sent to improve relations with the Griffon Kingdom due to a glacier running through the sea that divides the two kingdoms, she was more than a little excited. However, when she and her friends landed on the shores of Griffonstone, Twilight realised this mission might not be as leisurely as she might have hoped. As nice as the griffons were, and as much as her friends were enjoying the "vacation", Twilight couldn't help but be entranced by the titanic ice sheet in the water. Could anyone else hear it talking? How is ice talking? And why... why does it sound exactly like her?

(For context, this book takes place somewhere in the middle of season 5 of the show, but after episode 8.)

After settling in Crystal Empire, Thorax began sending letters to Spike.

So you might remember the vaguely Spike x Thorax fanfic I wrote almost a year ago and the second chapter I wrote was already completed when I posted it. It was only because I didn’t know how to finish the story that I stopped writing. However, there wasn’t any need to completely waste the time I spent on the second chapter so here! Have a mostly back and forth series of silly letters that have been sitting in drafts for almost a year now.
