I picked up my mail, like very day. This time I found something out of the ordinary, as I recognise a scroll.

I had to read it, just like the rest of the mail. I couldn't ignore it. I felt an urge to read, in order to respond, to whom ever had sent it.

Only just after I had read it, the curse gripped my body, and it is too late to change my mind.

After a long hard day of friendship lessons Twilight settles down with Spike to look through her old photo album. Starlight's reaction to one of the photos brings a shocking secret to light. Starlight is a mother, and she does not know to whom.

Twilight and her friends now want to help Starlight find her long lost foal, while trying to puzzle out just how a mother could not know her own foal. Starlight meanwhile is trying to decide whether to bury the past, or drag it all up once again. Both will be painful, but the question remains. Which one would hurt the least, for all involved?

Several truths are revealed, and motivations are uncovered. When everything is laid bare how will everyone react? Will Starlight's life be turned upside down, even in this time of change for the former villain?

When Twilight awakes one morning to a furious pounding on the doors of Castle Friendship, she assumes someone has a very dire friendship problem.

When she opens the door to find an abandoned newborn colt, not a guardian in sight, her whole world turns upside down.

At the prospect of the little foal going to an orphanage, Twilight puts her hoof down, and adopts the colt.

Investigations turn up a terrible orphanage, and a mistreated mare.

Follow along on Twilight's journey of finding love, sleepless nights, sick foals, and the trials and tribulations of motherhood, with a newfound love by her side.
