HYPOCRITES

"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean."

Happy Hearth's Warming! :pinkiehappy:

3056288 Why do you have double standards? One for mortal human life and one for eternal Universe? Why don't the same arguments you use for a limited meaningful life apply to the Universe?

Personally I find it selfish that someone would deny the gift of a natural death from themselves.

Receiving a gift is selfish. Saying no to a gift is altruistic, or at least, not selfish since you don't get anything positive. Unless death is negative, but then it's not really a gift, is it?

Death can be nothing or can be something new.

So, which is it in this reality?

Good souls never return back.

How do you know?

They move on. Those of us that have a dept to pay we keep coming back and back until we pay our dues.

I thought you were done with metaphisics. Where are you getting all this info from?

I want to move on.

Even if you transition into eternal flames of Tartarus?

Animals act on instinct.

That's what I said: emotions. You know, fear, anger,...

The mother if deem the situation unsolvable will abandon her child.

I've seen animals run into the pack of lions to save their child. But yes, it doesn't always happen.

We do not do that we will sacrifice ourselves for it.

Why? Would you? It only takes 9 months to produce a new child.

Also this sounds sarcastic this was supposed to be a philosophical friendly discussion...

I'm incapable of going without a sarcastic remark for more than 5 minutes.

I have not transcended i am simply a different person.

Some people are better than others. For one, you don't seem to be burden down by your emotions. I consider this a boon.

Then again, you probably prefer the Universe that ends, don't you? If it lasted forever, it wouldn't have any purpose. Its mortality gives it meaning, right?

I don't prefer a universe that ends. It can go on. I won't follow. There more things to it than just living forever. Animals lack a higher brain and only act on emotions. But humans are capable of transcending our emotions. You seem to have already transitioned to the next level. Save a spot for me, will you?

I have not transcended i am simply a different person. I dove for years into metaphysics and came back. In the end something is important as long as you give it value. I am not a nihilist though I see the merrits.

3056269 I may see different options, but I'm not in the business of denying reality. I know the bounds of the laws of physics. I know how stars work. I know that entropy only has one direction.

The option of a perpetual Universe goes against the laws of physics.

You're wrong, you know?

The energy of this Universe mostly comes from Hydrogen. And the Universe is running out of it. There is no process that forms more Hydrogen. It was made after the Big Bang and the stars only consumed it. There's still enough of it around for new stars to form, but such won't be the case forever.

I see you only perceive what is, not what could be. - https://www.fimfiction.net/user/344253/GrandAdmiral+MitthRawN#comment/3056063

I suspect that you're secretly waiting for death. Though maybe, you keep this secret even from yourself.

Hmm who knows? I have (Moderate ASPD) I am bored. Not manythings that could even spark the smallest of emotions for me. A tragedy in life. But still philosophy I would follow.
