Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship, goes to Las Pegasus to attend the Great Equestrian Bake-Off. Being Twilight Sparkle, she can't have a pleasant trip, no. She finds herself in a convoluted mess of tribalism, government mandated fairness, a dying element of earth pony culture, and what just might be the remnants of the Great Equestrian Dream, a unity that might have never existed.

Left with no other choice, Twilight decides it is time to smash the system, forgetting that she is the system. Somehow, Twilight manages to lead a revolt against her own authority.

If it weren't for a group of young mares, saving the day with luck and intuition, Equestria would fall. Chrysalis finds this absolutely unacceptable. For the love of ponies and their carefree way of life, the changeling queen takes a stand. Will she survive? Will Equestria?

A lot of things happened at the good ol' triple G. The crusaders got some hot tips on cutie marks, the nobles were smoozed beyond belief, and Tree Hugger met somebody who really, really intrigued her.

Still, Discord was a bit bemused when Tree Hugger offered to show him her garden. After all, he'd had threatened to throw her into another reality, and that usually put most ponies off from having more interactions with him.

But perhaps, with time, Tree Hugger's intentions might become clear.

Sunset Shimmer, twice savior of Canterlot High who earned her wings by using the combined magic of the Earth elements of harmony to save the world from Twilight Sparkle (you know... the one with the glasses). She's offered to help Twilight's (you know.. the alicorn Princess of Friendship) new student learn about friendship while the whole crew embarks on a trip to the Crystal Empire. For the first time in history, the Archon of Freeport has come to Equestria. Princess Twilight Sparkle has been given the honor to host Archon Sunset Shimmer, but she quickly finds herself at odds with her prestigious guest. Things turn sour when something is stolen from the Archon, and Twilight is the prime suspect. Twilight must uncover the real thief to avert an uproar of international proportions.
