in the wake of a terrible accident claiming Velvet and Night light, Celestia takes in Twilight, Shining, and Spike to raise them alongside Cadence in Canterlot Castle. I present an alternate take on Friendsip is magic where Twilight never leaves Canterlot to go Ponyville, and instead relies on her new family to protect Equestria. I give you, the House of Sun.

Sunset Shimmer has grown to love human entertainment, and she is no stranger to it, from movies with her friends, to her video game streaming channel, she thought she knew all ways of fun that humans had created... she was wrong.

What if Sunset Shimmer was not born a pony? What if she was more special then she thought? More importantly, what if there was more to the world beyond the mirror portal than first thought?
