basicly its likely the girls assume the tec is magic while the glitch tecs assume the magic is glitches. if the gauntlets can capture magic this could be interesting

Now this is why I hate sunset's memory powers. They have no use. The mane 6 don't need memory powers to fix thing. Yes they could come in handy but if you can't use the powers and end the fight before it begins, you can't do anything. Literally powerless. So sunset have to rely on the other girls. Not to mention even if you do managed to touch the villain, which is a handicap, by the way, you can't always talk them out.
Other than that, which I'm not actually blaming you or anything, the chapter is pretty great. Although I wasn’t expecting Fluttershy's um...
*cough* and Sonata, it is pretty great.

...I'm sure that's just a coincidence and in no way will affect the plot. ;P

Huh, well now, isn't that interesting. To be fair, we still don't know 'why' the glitches are able to do what they do, though considering the 'glitches' are the little lightning guys that come out when you destroy the protective shell of the sprite they inhabit, it does indicate they are themselves not native to the games they're in, and are instead part of our reality reaching into the game world to acquire a form. B.U.D.S. even shows some thought beyond general programming, as its doubtful its whole Thing-esque plan was part of the original game it came from, and was in fact influenced by the ones it copied in the normal world.
Personally, I think Bolybius (Also, a show referencing an Urban Legend of Zelda...neat), is kind of a massive Mapper Glitch, which has overlayed all reality at once, so the glitches are in fact, part of the world outside, being affected by nesting programs within them. Also explains why all their gear causes stuff, as seen in that one family who abused the stuff having massive glitch farms.
Anyway, to this story in particular, a nice start, good stuff, and I like Phil's commanding presence, dude is a gem as far as 'adult' characters in shows like this go. Sunset has an interesting reaction to the glitch, and the fact that their powers do work against it is pretty neat. Overall, a good start, and I look forward to reading more.

Hmm...3 way cross over...actually, I'm curious which magic/tech would be stronger. The Equestrian variant is more versatile and can alter physical laws directly. The Hinobi Tech is much more controllable than the other two, but has in universe limits that can burn them out, and Gem Magic/Tech is certainly the most wide spread, but that doesn't translate to raw power in this case, as direct battles do show off that they aren't as strong as you'd think.
Death Battle-wise, given what we know EQ magic can do, and with Sunset and Steven's empathic abilities cancelling each other out, I'd say I'd give the win to Sunset, mostly just because if she tried, she could probably make cracks in reality like Midnight Sparkle did at the end of Friendship Games, and those are likely game winners.
Why? She didn't and Fluttershy was the one to put them in the situation in the first place. Miko's actions were completely justified and acting like both parties are equally in the wrong is just plain wrong.
Sorry I call nonsense with this. I don't know how Rarity's powers or the bracelet works exactly, but I still doubt her powers would protect them, especially since it shines a light and Rarity's barriers are transparent. The light should have still affected them. I understand you couldn't have that happen, since it would ruin the plot, but a better written story would have a more believable way to have the girls unaffected. This is really coming off as contrived bad writing.

Just finished to read the whole thing.
It’s good,there are a few errors with words there and there,and the pace of the story its a little more faster that what I’m used to,but the chapthers being kind of short help for it to not feel Rushed.
Overall,a solid story,with until now, a completely original idea.keep it up!
Also,the fact that this have not dislikes blow my mind,but I’m not complaining tho.
