Cadence is killed in an attack by Queen Chrysalis as an act of revenge for the failed invasion, Shining kills her in retaliation but the lonely life soon gets to him. Shining has become distant from everypony & pays attention to only his work ruling as king of the Crystal Empire. After 3 years of separating himself from Equestria a hero of the Crystal Empire returns to save him from himself & just maybe show him how to love again.

Flash Magnus and Flash Sentry find themselves in a competition to win Twilight Sparkle’s affections. As the competition escalates, Flash Magnus begins to realize that it might not be Twilight Sparkle he wants to win the affection of.

After some time of planning, Spike, Twilight Sparkle, and Starlight Glimmer decide to take some time to hang out at the Chrystal Empire for a few weeks. While Starlight and Twilight have their moments of peace, Spike decides to dedicate his time to his best friend Thorax. Little do these two know that their friendship is going to be blossoming into something a bit more than friendship.

After bucking his sister in the face (like an apple tree, mind you) Big Mac storms off and decides to finally tell a stallion he's had a crush on for a long time just how he feels, but it seems like this stallion already knows, better go have a talk with somepony.

So following the instructions of a mental resurrection spell from his biological father's (Sombra) he brings the minds of history's greatest composers back. However, they are immediately separated throughout Equestria. Inverno goes on a quest to recover these brilliant minds while discovering that they come back with something more than he could imagine.

Even though several years have passed since their wedding, Canvas and Troius Clawston's lives were just as content as it was when they first eloped. Troy was still a highly-successful singer and theater actor, who had managed to make a name for himself as one of the few gryphons performing on Bridleway. Meanwhile, Canvas was still regarded as one of Equestria's most proficient artists, and was even able to expand his work to more than one studio. In fact, Troy and Canvas were able to invest in a second home in Manehattan, even though Ponyville always remained their true hometown.

But while Troy was up in Manehattan to rehearse for an upcoming show, Canvas was busy adjusting to Ponyville by himself following Princess Twilight's departure. Or at least, that was what Canvas was expecting to do when he went to Sugar Cube Corner one particular morning; but instead, the artist was thrown into a life-changing quest the moment he found his Cutie Mark glowing for an unexpected summoning...

When Amy leaves for her honeymoon after her wedding to Golden Delicious, the Apple Family asks Adam to help on the farm in her stead. Adam wants to prove to Big Macintosh and the Apple Family that he is more than just a fashion designer's assistant.

The brightest flame casts the darkest shadow, and many wars are won and lost in darkness far from the light of day.

It could, perhaps, be understood why Celestia chose not to pursue justice against Queen Chrysalis, or free the captive ponies the changeling hive fed on. An enemy becomes all the more dangerous when cornered, and Celestia had no desire to initiate another outbreak of hostilities when the hostages were safe, after a fashion, and a peaceful solution was still possible.

Of course, not all ponies saw things that way, and many grew impatient as time dragged on. Something had to be done to end the changeling threat once and for all.

This story is a stand-alone sequel to From Equestria With Love. It is not necessary to have read the previous story.
