What would have happened if Starlight hadn't turned herself over to Twilight? If she rejected friendship, even after being given a chance to come back?

Starlight Glimmer is strong. She always has been. She always will be.
But Twilight wants that to change.

Twilight has thirty eight minutes to save Equestria, but it's already far too late.

While trying to explore another reality, Princess Twilight stumbled upon a dying Equestria consumed by Bale-fire megaspells. With just a thirty eight minute window, though as many re-tries as she wants, Twilight has to figure out what went wrong and whether anything can be salvaged. This time it's too late to save the world, but maybe she'll be able to save the one pony she never could, Pinkie Pie.

Twilight Sparkle took a nap after Season 9 ended, only to find herself back at the start of Season 1. Stuck going home the long way 'round, will she be able to keep the timeline she remembers intact, or will the butterfly effect bulldoze over everything she held dear before the reset?

Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, this is a story concept I originally was going to abandon until I got a mountain of positive feedback. Expect character tag changes as each chapter comes out. (And yes, the cover image is inspired by Groundhog Day.)

Scootaloo has been trapped in the same world over and over again--the three months before the Grand Galloping Gala makes its arrival. In the time before, Scootaloo has somehow managed to die, over, and over, and over again. She has a hundred times, in fact. Neither her, nor her friend in the world between worlds knows what is happening, or why anyone would want to kill Scootaloo. After a pep talk from her friend on the 'other side', as we'll call it, Scootaloo decides to life another go.

If you could peer into the future, and see the exact cause, and time of your demise, how would that change your life? What if you saw the future and learned that that day was today? That's the dilemma Cozy Glow is faced with in this alternative version of the Ending of the End. In a dark twist, she uses Discord's chaos magic to take a peek into the future, and catches an early glimpse of her devastating defeat. Is there a way to prevent this horrible future from coming to fruition? Or is Cozy destined to an eternity of suffering? What does it take to make the change?
