Trees shorter than they should be, buildings smaller than preferred, a world filled with creatures bigger than him, yet others are near microscopic from his perspective.

Trying to find out where he should fit in is hard, because he is not too small, but most definitely bigger than most. Once he connects to the dominant civilization, a whole new world of opportunities is revealed before him.

He will walk as a giant. He will walk with giants. He will walk alone.

When Twilight was sent to improve relations with the Griffon Kingdom due to a glacier running through the sea that divides the two kingdoms, she was more than a little excited. However, when she and her friends landed on the shores of Griffonstone, Twilight realised this mission might not be as leisurely as she might have hoped. As nice as the griffons were, and as much as her friends were enjoying the "vacation", Twilight couldn't help but be entranced by the titanic ice sheet in the water. Could anyone else hear it talking? How is ice talking? And why... why does it sound exactly like her?

(For context, this book takes place somewhere in the middle of season 5 of the show, but after episode 8.)

This story is a sequel to Pinkie's Journal

A few months after the events of Pinkie's Journal, Pinkie Pie finds herself caught up in Twilight's experiments which focused on her Pinkie Sense and the anomalies it caused. Due to a mishap in the experiment, Pinkie then finds herself back home in Cuyahoga, Ohio eighteen years after Peter's death... As a human version of her pony form.

Meanwhile, Twilight now has to reopen the portal to bring Pinkie back. The only way to get there is to find somepony with the same anomaly signal... the only pony who can find such is Rainbow Dash who knows the criteria to find that pony; the person who Pinkie described as the person who was with her during the time of her death; the pony with the golden pocket watch.

It's been many years since Twilight took the throne as Equestria's sole ruler. Running a country is hard, especially now, but she has little choice in the matter. The trip to the wasteland was required though, her friend went not too long ago in order to investigate.

Hopefully she'll reunite with them so they can go back to taking care of Equestria, after all, who else will?

Twilight is making her way to the Pub known as the Leaky Cauldron, and from there onto the Diagon Alley.

With her saddlebags stuffed to the brim, she sets off on a shopping spree.

With a list of required items, she is stepping out on the street, looking for the items listed.

While some of the items appears to be strange, other items will be just up her alley.

I may not have been the best student, but to be fair I never put in any more effort than necessary. I barely passed my classes not because I was a bad student, but I just didn't care, even when challenged to a duel I didn't even try to win. This time was the last time as I was caught in a bad mood and actually fought back for once, the loser didn't take too kindly to getting curb stomped by a low level mage who's just short of failing all his classes. You can see where that's going.

Some may recognize the cover art from Lord Despair's story, "A Wizard's Tale". I honestly just typed dark mage in google images and it was one of the first that popped up. How could I not?
