Princess Celestia adopts Cater Pillar, a filly who just lost her parents. As she grows she becomes the first pony ever to ascend, to become a princess, equal to her teacher in poiltical power, responsibility, and benevolence. There is only one problem... she is an earth pony, which means she cannot become an Alicorn. This upsets the ruling unicorn nobles of Canterlot, so they propose a test, a test to verify whether or not she can do everything a princess needs to without magic. A test that she fails and runs away from.

Years later, she returns as Queen Chrysalis, leader of the changeling hive, and is victorious against those who had once looked down apon her. Yet Equestria as she know is no more. Will she rule over this land as a tyrant, or a savior? Will she become a beacon of hope and freedom for the downtrodden of Equestria, or a catastrophic fault that will tear the nation to pieces?

Pregnant with twins, Queen Chrysalis is trying to save her race.

Is the father going to help care for his children?

Will the changelings ever be accepted by ponies?

I was trying to write a one-shot, somewhere along the lines it turned into something greater.
I am going to work on the sequel when I feel like it.

Life is pretty unpredictable for me, but that alone is the predictable part of it. Pretty early on, I learned that I should expect the unexpected, and enjoy the brief moments of peace when they were there. Such an outlook helped me early on to keep from going crazy with all of the stuff that's happened to us all.

As the years passed though, I found my own source of peace: my closest friends.

My best friends were always there for me, and I for them. We held each other up when we fell below the surface of the sea of life, and offered friendly smiles and listening ears to each other when we needed it most. Even with all the insanity we weathered over the years, we became closer in spite of it...or, perhaps because of it. In a world of hoarding dragons, I may be the only one that cherished a small group of ponies over gold or jewels.

That pain is something Queen Chrysalis has gone through for eighteen years, but now the time is upon them, and she wants her daughter back. Even if that means invading Canterlot during a royal wedding.

The night before take you child to work day, Twilight and the other girls leave to spend time with their family's and relatives. But Spike is left alone, seeing as he is secretly the son of Celestia, and it would be pretty obvious if he showed up next to her in the court room. Celestia knows this, and arranged for a special night & day for Spike, in hopes to make up for it. "Hey Luna, How would you like to spend some time with Spike?"
