A mother will do a lot for her child, even give them up if it meant them having a safer life growing up, despite the obvious pain that comes for the parent.

That pain is something Queen Chrysalis has gone through for eighteen years, but now the time is upon them, and she wants her daughter back. Even if that means invading Canterlot during a royal wedding.

Twilight and her mother, Luna, return from the moon a year early and though Celestia is suspicious at first she eventually welcomes her sister back and her new niece with open hooves. However, not everyone is so welcoming. Twilight and Luna's relationship is tested time and time again as disaster after disaster stricks Equestria. Will their bond be able to survive, or will it shatter like glass?

Six months after the events of Kiss of the Dark, Twilight is deep into her pregnancy with Sombra's child. The foal is due any moment now, and she grows more excited by the day.

However, her memories of Sombra still haunt her. Torturing her in her dreams, making her feel guilty for the things she's done with him....

Once Celestia catches wind of it, she takes it upon herself to help her former student once more. After all, its best that they fix things once and for all before the foal arrives...

We All know the original story of the TV series My Little Pony FIM. This is a story where Twilight Sparkle is Princess Celestia's daughter and Princess Cadence is Twilight's older sister. Follow Princess Twilight as she goes from being a cute little baby filly to where she comes to a time in her life where she will be chosen to defeat Nightmare Moon, and free her long lost Aunt Luna. She must befriend the mares of the Elements of Harmony in time to defeat Nightmare Moon and save her mother's kingdom from eternal night. How will the events play out with all of Equestria, including the elements of harmony, knowing she's a princess? Well, only one way to find out every pony. Things are changing in Equestria, the ponies have decided they no longer need Princess Celestia to guide them. Celestia willingly stood down however and vanished. Unknown to Equestria she remains in disguise watching and wondering if her ponies are really ready... Oh, she's also experiencing what its like to care for a foal for the first time as well. Which will fail first Celestia's sanity or Equestrian Democracy?

After Luna's return, Celestia begins to notice Luna's down spiral into depression. Each day the lunar princess isolates herself into her room at night and cries until slumber catches up to her. This worries her sister further. She thought everything was good between them now. What changed?
One day the sorrowful cries of the princess stop... But a new problem arises... Luna now acts like a dragon hiding its treasure. Shes hasty, secretive and defensive. This causes suspicion and confusion in the elder sister.
What is Luna hiding from her? And how long before Luna's little secret gets out?

Princess Twilight Sparkle is the only daughter of the queen of the night, Nightmare Moon, and the lord of shadows, King Sombra. She is unlike any other normal equine foal, mainly because she was born as an alicorn. Just like her parents, she has the acute ability of harnessing the full power of dark magic to the fullest of its power. Her and her parents rule the Crystal Kingdom with an iron-hoof with a strong and loyal alliance with the Griffon Kingdom. They are planning one of the biggest attacks on Equestria in over a thousand years. The great thing about their plan is, their enemy has no idea about it.

Unfortunately, they are dealing with the princess of Equestria, Princess Celestia and her most loyal of guards, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie.

The gore rating is for death and torture in later chapters. The teen rating may change depending on how I write how the death's and torture occur.
I got this idea while listening to the black metal band Dimmu Borgir with heavy rain in the background.
