A quiet, crazy Yank who is also a hopeless romantic and eternal optimist. ... Yeah, that just about covers it.

From The Acorn Cafe forum:

Hi guys and gals,

Just a little note to let you know that Iā€™m near finished with the first volume of A History of Disney Television Animation, volume I. This volume has its focus on the first decade of the division, covering the origins of the studio, the people who were there and of course the development history of the shows.

Anytime, you deserve it! :scootangel:

Heh, thank you very much for that.

You're quite deep for a lemon, you know that? :raritywink:

And you're right: those little tidbits to us could mean a great deal to someone else. I have had the good fortune of hearing s few comments similar to yours over the years (and across fandoms) and each one reminds me of the kind of impact someone even as small as me can have on another. It's really quite gratifying and humbling.

I appreciate that hope. Perhaps someday I'll be able to get back writing something, we shall see.

Yes, I too have seen many accounts go dark and wonderful stories left unfinished, many without a word as to why. That said, when I find a place I like, I do tend to stick around for a while (kinda like a mold in a way šŸ˜›).

I know you're probably doing lots of important work at the moment so I'd like to wish you the best of luck, and stay safe out there friendo.

The great irony here was I was going to reply with "Don't worry about me being busy, I try to do my best to make time for conversation", and then I promptly got sidetracked and busy with real world stuff. :twilightsheepish: Still, I'd like to say that I will do my best to converse in a timely manner. Thank you again for the lovely comments.

It's obviously been a while, but you're absolutely correct, yes: It was Promissa's reading that I had tuned in to, way back when. It's nice that her version is one that you are both aware of and endorse.

I'm also grateful that my few little words of casual gratatude meant something to you. I often think that we go through our day-to-day without ever really becoming aware of the positive impacts or influences that we can have on others, either directly or indirectly. And for most of our lives, we never really do get the opportunity to find out firsthand about the potential changes that we have helped foster in the world around us, no matter how big or how small. Even the smallest or inconsequential of things to us can mean the world to others. I'd wager that there's plenty of other examples wherein by you've helped impact somebody's life path in some small way that you never learned about, but I'm sure it's nice to get the occassional confirmation every once in a while!

It can be hard to find the time to involve ourselves with creative endeavours these days, but I hope you find a little bit of inspiration here and there to put some pen to paper every now and then going forward in your personal life. Again, you never know who it could have an effect on, or how, ya'know?

I've seen a lot of big personalities come and go to and from this site over the years, and more accounts that I became familiar with - or whose work similarly impacted me - than I'd like to admit now lie inactive. Charming that you've stuck around, even after the golden years.

I know you're probably doing lots of important work at the moment so I'd like to wish you the best of luck, and stay safe out there friendo. :twilightsheepish:
