I tried to give it a good push. I wanted to give a gift worth receiving and a good showing of myself. I'm really glad you liked it! Not bad, don't see this pairing often and it's even less often you see clop the doesn't just jump in head first (if you know what I mean).
Only one "complaint/nitpick" that got a (probably unintended) laugh out of me.

The Crystal Heart rested under another layer of crystal in a case of brushed and polished fossilized sandalwood gilded in glittering quicksilver when in its semi-private storage.

I mean, Mercury vapors or otherwise ingesting it is a problem. But for functional or ornamental purposes, when in metallic form, it should be fine. Heck humans can touch mercury, provided you don't have open cuts when doing so.

Meanwhile they'd handle the Crystal Heart with hooves or magic, neither of which really has any risks when exposed to such a small amount of mercury. I don't see someone trying to Ed Edd & Eddy style pop this into their mouths like a jawbreaker.
