Captured by your enemy. It's something that no soldier wants to think about, much less experience. Unfortunately for one U.S. soldier fighting in Equestria, that's exactly what happens. At the mercy of the ponies, he will have to resist their attempts to extract information from him, and hope that he'll see freedom again.
(Language warning for those who care.)

Many thanks to my prereader, Cosmic Cowboy, for letting me bounce ideas off him, and not letting me upload garbage.

Appeared in the feature box for a brief time on 10/11/2015. I have no words...

This story is a sequel to Borderline

Reading the first one is not absolutely necessary, but strongly recommended.

I don’t know how, but Pinkie managed to escape from the Canterlot Prison for the Mentally Unbalanced, adding insult to injury to a nation which has already been shaken by her murders. Sugarcube Corner has been abandoned ever since her spree, but now something is stirring in there again.

I can’t help but shudder as Mully tells me to check on the disturbance. A part of me hopes that this will be just another case of a desperate teenager first dealing with misconduct. The other part dreads what I might find amidst the decrepit walls of what Pinkie once turned into a slaughterhouse.

A collaboration between Owlor, Lucefudu and jmj.

A Soldier's Memoirs Saga
The Griffon War | Skyfall | Treason | Everfree | Overture
Retribution

The Everfree Forest. The myths that surround that dreaded place are just that: myths. Tales of monsters, cursed creatures, and evil magic are just stories made to scare foals at night.

But every story comes from some truth, and some answers are better left in the dark.

Inspired by Story of the Blanks.

Special thanks to my pre-readers Jake The Army Guy, irobern2857, Treilacl, and USMCbrony0311.

Characters and locations belong to their original creators.

This story would not be possible without the commissioning from Canary in the Coal Mine. Many thanks for the support.

As always, there is a staff that brings these stories to life, Kitsy-Chan and her wonderful research and voluminous knowledge base on a great many aspects applicable to pony life. And Kalash, with his editing, and adding in native bits and pieces to help make this story the best it can be.

Also great thanks to my pre-readers, harts fire, Phenrys, my wonderful wife, among others. I hope you all enjoy this commissioned story.

The entire story takes place in my own universe and continues the summer after What Changes May Come ends. Elements from that story as well as my parallel fic An Honest Life are included here. There is no need to read either to enjoy this one, though I encourage you to check them out. Essentially the events are canon until the middle of season 4.

This is one story I never thought I would be able to write. I had been wanting to compose a Twicord fic, but had no idea how to get a good setup. The idea for this fic came from SageBrony07 who's also been instrumental in the idea for many of the chapters.

I can't say thank you enough to Nomad_Sigma as well. He's been such a big help with the last leg of the story, editing my ramblings along with being the best idea man a girl could ask for!

Prereading for certain chapters provided by Nomad_Sigma and SageBrony07. Proofreading by
Smaug the golden, TemplarBrony, The Forgotten Comrade, and viewers like you.

It takes an army, that's all I've got to say. :rainbowlaugh:

Anthology collection of stories from throughout the history of Ioka taking place before, during, and after Myths and Birthrights.

Focuses include vignettes about the Muses, shorts set during various important periods of history such as the end of the Pre-Classical period, the formation of Equestria, and the years surrounding the War of the Sun and Moon.

Chapters (21)

The Mane Six disappear from Equestria without a trace in the process of successfully saving Ponyville from a magical storm. They are presumed deceased after some time passes, and the Elements return to the Tree of Harmony.

They wake up, not as the ponies they were, in another world.

A world known as Azeroth.

Faced with a new set of challenges, can they hold onto the values they embody and the code they lived by, or will they be forced to adapt to the ways of this strange new world? A world of bloodshed and hate, of light and dark, of alien races, of undead and demons. A World of Warcraft.

(Historical note)
On recent events:

I've found the recent reports of harassment and workplace issues at Activision-Blizzard to be extremely troubling. They also come at a time when I've been playing much less of the game as it is, as a result of disengagement and disillusionment with various aspects of WoW's current gameplay and storytelling.

For these reasons, in addition to my own failure to upload regularly, I've contemplated putting Azeroth's Skies on hiatus again... or just cancelling it entirely.

However... while I may not be playing WoW at the moment, and may never do so again, I feel like fan work is something we could do with more of right now. I also don't feel like I'm finished in this world just yet. So for now, I'm going to do my best to continue the story.

I hope this makes sense, but I understand if anyone else feels differently as a result of what has happened. Thank you all for your support for this story so far.

Author's Notes:

- On the MLP side of things, this is set before Season 5* kicks off, albeit with minor references to elements from the season opener.
- On the Warcraft side, this is set shortly after the formation of the Shattered Sun Offensive, but I will be taking liberties with certain events that were placed somewhat loosely into the timeline.

*For about 10 years, I've had this written here as Season 4 - but this was a typo, as it was always meant to take place after Twilight's first visit to Canterlot High in Equestria Girls. Sorry!

Inspired by Rebirth of the Damned, by Borsuq. If somehow you've seen this and missed his excellent story, go check it out!

Now with some awesome cover art, which I commissioned from Mario Teodosio!
