Three months after the crisis of the Storm King’s magic, Twilight Sparkle prepares another break for her friends on the yacht. With no magic causing the same problems they had during their Spring Break, their next yacht experience is what their last one should’ve been. Princess Twilight who made a lot of friends last summer has little to do during the summer season. She also notice she didn’t have a lot of time with her human counterpart when she entered Equestria from a different portal. Luckily for her Sunset Shimmer reminds her she’s going on another cruise and ask her if she’s interested into coming with. Princess Twilight agrees since it’s one of the things she wants to do in order to know her counterpart especially she can discuss her times on the beach with her new friends.

One day, while going on an archeologist expedition with Maud Pie, the girls encountered a creature of Greek Mythology. A creature called a gorgon – by the name Medusa. But Medusa is far from what the stories say she is.

Together, the Equestria Girls, Spike, and their new friend all work together on finding a way to rid her curse, while helping her learn that what makes you different is, in fact, what makes you strong.

When Galbatorix was defeated, the land of Alagaesia prospered for hundreds of years after. But eventually, the world began to grow in technology, and the riders of old were no longer needed. The Urgals left for there home across the sea, their riders going with. The dwarves went farther into the Beor mountains, their riders following them to the depths of the mountains, to be lost to legend. The only ones to remain in Alagaesia, was the humans and the elves. Though, over time the elves to retreated into Du Weldenvarden, becoming the Fae folk again. Eragon had left Alagaesia, in the hands of humans. Technology prospered at the hands of humans, and eventually, the towns and cities of old where broken down, and rebuilt anew. Then, Tirek came. From a portal to another land, one inhabited by strange magics, not seen by the riders before. And so they fell. Years have passed, and Tireks tyrant reign is unbreakable. But seven girls on a field trip to the Everfree forest, will soon become something for Tirek to fear.

All things Eragon and My Little Pony belong to their respective owners, and I take credit for nothing but my story idea. I am a fan of both series, so I hope to do a good job with this story.

Help in writing this would be much appreciated, as i have a general Idea of how I want it to look, but can't get the fine details done well. Please be patient with me, as each chapter is going to be long, and few and far between, as I have to create a solid base and story. I was a pretty normal guy in freshman year. Had a few friends, liked to improvise songs based on events or surroundings, was a little dark, sometimes acted like I saw and heard things that weren’t real.

Before you read: This is a side-story to XCOM: Ranger.

I will provide all possible information needed for those that do not have the time—or inclination—to read the other story to still be able understand this one. It's a LOT of info, however, and I'm not just going to dump it all in one go. The backstory will emerge as the story progresses.

What happens when the darkness in someone's soul, drawn forth by envy and anger, billows forth, drawing the attention of beings far more dangerous than this person? It is always possible that what one person sees as darkness is covering what people see as something far more startling and powerful.
