What A ‘Dazzling’ Event

by Taken-By-Insanity

Phew. We Made It.

I woke up from the sounds of three alarms once more and turned mine off, the other two following soon after. I got up and yawned a little as I went out of the bedroom to the kitchen and had another bowl of cereal. As I was eating I saw Sonata enter the bathroom with a towel and heard the shower start running.

After another morning routine finished we decided to wear white jackets today and entered the school with the hoods up once more.

We arrived at school campus and only at lunch did we really find anything interesting while wandering, having finished eating.

This girl was on a tree and getting rid of a branch to help a lonely sunflower get some sun. We mostly left her alone and started to class after watching the scene due to the bell ringing.

Me, Sonata, and Aria were walking down the hallway, having just finished our last class, and saw that girl again. Now that we were closer I noticed that she had wild dark forest green hair, her skin was a pale green, and she was wearing a sweater of different shades of green. Her eyes were a melted chocolate like. She was leaning against a locker, looking a bit frustrated from something.

Now us, being the kind sirens we are, decided to approach her. “You alright?” I asked her, my hood continuing to hide my face in a shadow.

She glanced up and saw me and the girls surrounding her as the hallway emptied. “Um yes? Maybe? I'm not sure,” she sighed, hugging herself before her eyes fell to her feet.

I sighed at this reaction, kinda expecting it. “Sorry if we’re being a bother. Did something happen?” I asked, Sonata and Aria taking a step back so as the girl won’t feel very trapped.

She did relax a little and had a more welcoming look in her eye, massaging the side of her right arm with her left hand. “Nothing really, I just feel as if I'm fleeting constantly,” she said, glancing down the hallway before looking back.

“You ever get the feeling, you never leave an impression?” she asked us, raising her brow slightly at us.

I look at the other two and look back at the girl before nodding. “Back then, before we were known as the Dazzlings, we were nobodies. No one remembered us until we caused chaos, until we were cursed.”

Sonata flinches at this, a face of guilt on her face as I reminded her of the mistake she made. What mistake you ask? It’s a secret.

“Chaos?” The girl asked, wincing at what I said. She went silent for a moment before speaking up again, “Then again, you three have a way with words.” She whispered something after that but I couldn’t properly hear what she said.

“Words only worked back before the Battle of the Bands. That’s what they call it, right?” I asked the girl.

Sonata then spoke up, “We still are good with words technically.”

“Yeah. But not you, airhead,” Aria then said, looking away in disgust. Sonata gave a glare towards the back of Aria’s head after that comment.

I turned to the two. “Must you really get into another fight? Or do I have to break it up?” The two shook their heads before glaring at each other in the eyes.

I heard a giggle from the girl before she spoke, “Um, thank you. For taking time to chat with me, I mean.”

As the other two continued glaring I turned back to the girl with a smile. “It’s no problem. Before we go, I don’t believe we ever got your name. As you probably know, I’m Adagio, the two arguing are Sonata and Aria.”

The two stop glaring for a second and wave, Sonata with energy and Aria with boredom and lack of energy, before glaring at each other once more.

She gave us a rather weak smile and a nervous giggle, she’s definitely not used to socializing. She held out her hand and said, “My name is Wallflower... Wallflower Blush.” Nice name.

I took her hand and gently shook it. “Nice to meet you Wallflower.” The other two finally stop glaring at each other and nodded at the girl, now known as Wallflower, with a smile, Aria’s more calm like while Sonata’s was ecstatic.

Have we made a new friend?

School has finished with no homework from any of our classes and we got those slips signed and turned in so we decided to find a restaurant to eat by the beach.

We did find one eventually and as we waited to make our order I heard, and maybe even sensed, two children fighting each other about something. The other two and I looked at each other silently and nodded before starting to hum.

“Go along and resolve your conflict,” I sang quietly.

Sonata then sang a line, “Little children, you should calm down before consequences occur.” Some green mist came from the booth behind us and entered our amulets once more, the rubies glowing a deep red.

“Now. Lower your voices. Let the anger fade from your mind as we take it in,” Aria sang, the fighting started to go quiet after Aria sang her line.

But it completely stopped after my line, “The anger is gone, you are now calm. You aren’t greedy, you aren’t angry. You are calm and maturrrre.” We stopped and the last of the mist entered our amulets.

A waiter then came and we ordered a burrito, a salad, and a breakfast sandwich. For drinks we had three sodas of a random kind. When the food came Sonata, obviously, took the burrito, Aria took the salad, and I took the breakfast sandwich. As we ate we looked out to the beach from our seats and admired the beautiful view.

Once we finished, we payed and left towards our apartment as the day started to end. We changed into night clothes, showered, brushed our teeth, etc., before laying in our beds and closing our eyes.
