Pinkie Pie's at it again! This time, she comes up with a game for her and her friends to play wherein they randomly choose eligible stallions out of a bag, and have a month to make a love connection with the stallion they choose.

She bumped into him once. Then she bumped into him twice. Love can really be born out of seemingly pretty much nothing. Sometimes a quite, rational love. Sometimes a mad violent and wildly passionate love.

But when Twilight learns that Flash Sentry is going to marry another mare, her feelings break loose and she finds herself caught between accepting her defeat or deciding to fight for the one she loves against all odds.

Based on Mark Twain's "The Prince and the Pauper."

Twilight Sparkle is stressed with her new role as a princess and wishes she could go back to being a regular old unicorn.

Dawn Cracker, a unicorn living with her indebted father, wishes she had the life of a princess.

When the two meet, they discover they look a great deal alike and (of course) decide to switch places. What chaos will become of this?

Leaving Twilight was the hardest thing I had to do but I knew that if I told her about my true self, I would destroy her life. I couldn't do that to her, especially when she's a princess, one that cannot bare what I have. I'm Flash Sentry and I am cursed.

Ever since I was a foal, I have kept the secret of my curse hidden from other ponies until now. My curse has destroyed my life, made me leave the filly I love and sent me to the only place that I could live without hurting others, in the darkness. This is my life and my struggles through it.

Since Flash left me, I felt hollow and empty. Nothing makes me feel better, not even the overly active, laughing maniac, Pinkie Pie. I do not know where he went or why but I have been left in the darkness.

I love him with all my heart and I am going to track him down. He needs me and I need him even if he doesn't love me. I won't let ANYTHING stand in my way to get to Flash Sentry.

After Chrysalis death, her right hoofed Changeling, Bloodlust decides to take it upon himself to avenge his queens death. He knows exactly what to do. After he acquires his power, the princesses put up a bigger fight then he thought was possible, now his goals have shifted.

Twilight creates a spell that should allow anypony to experience an amazing 24 hour day in the span of about an hour. She wants to test out a lighter version that should give her a 5 minute experience in a few seconds to make sure the spell is safe. After a successful test, however, she is worried that it might have actually worked better than expected...

Twenty long years come and go, allowing Princess Twilight and company to grow apart chasing down their own dreams. Having attained a time of peace in all of Equestria once more, Celestia feels that her faithful students have experienced full enough lives to be prepared for one final task; the founding of a kingdom they can all call their own.

Placed on the shoulders of Twilight Sparkle, the young princess accepts the mission and rounds up her friends to share in one last adventure together. A caravan of settlers and a small collection of royal guards are placed under Princess Twilight's charge, and the Mane Six must forage on to the destination of their new home.

After initiating what seemed like the simplest of tasks, Twilight and company begin to experience the hardships of both the journey, and the strain that exists between their once strong relationship. A dark, new shadow now looms over the would-be founders, patiently biding it's time to exact bitter-sweet revenge on the band of ponies for a long-forgotten wrong. Can the Mane Six get it together before a nightmare descends upon them, or will the trials of time prove too great to overcome?

There are many axioms in Equestria. "Go with the grain." "Count your blessings." "Strive to be happy with what you have."

And, though left unsaid, the most important one of all: "Know your place."

Although Flash Sentry loves Twilight, she can never know of his love. She can never return the feelings. It wouldn't be proper. After all, social order is more important than fulfilling one's own wishes.

Alternate Universe tag is due to the existence of a caste system in this story. Please keep that in mind as you read.

Twilight Sparkle, a new ruler in Equestria, has only been a princess for a few weeks. She just returned from an adventure in a new world that she never knew of, but she still doesn't feel ready for life as a leader. On the other hoof, Flash Sentry is just a new member of the Canterlot Royal Guard. As a member of the guard, his job is to protect the three princesses in Canterlot, as well as tour with them wherever they go. This turns into a romantic relationship, and they live happily ever after.

Actually, no they don't. That only happens in fairy tales.

Rated Teen for suggestive scenes and innuendo jokes, but if you know me you know that my stories are always the PG rated version, where the acts aren't described after kissing or touching. This story takes place after Equestria Girls but before Season 4, not including any new developments in the series or comics after the movie.
