While no prior knowledge or familiarity is required to enjoy this story, this story is canon to Danganronpa: In Harmony's Wake. It takes place at least two years prior to the events of that story.

While Celestia and Luna were the rulers of ponykind of many centuries, they were not the only alicorn leaders of their people's ancient past. Through the power of modern technology, they find a way to restore their father, Solaris, to be able to speak to them once more. As it turns out, this might not have been the best idea.

Flash Sentry works as a Minion For Hire, chasing an old feeling he can't get back. Maybe his next job will manage to rekindle it.

Flash Sentry knows how much it hurts to get dumped after a long-term relationship. His time with Sunset Shimmer wasn't the best, but it still hurt when it ended. So when he finds out that Timber Spruce got dumped by Twilight Sparkle, he knows what he must do: He's gonna help Timber out of his funk, get him back on his feet, and get him back in the game. Because that's what bros do.

Twilight Sparkle has faced many challenges and tests. Ursa Majors, Chaos Gods, Demons, Sirens, the works. But now, she faces her greatest challenge yet.

She's going to learn how to drive a manual transmission.

Surely Twilight Sparkle, prized student of Celestia, Princess of Friendship, bookworm extraordinaire, and multiple-time saviour of Equestria, can learn how to drive a car, right?

The Rainbooms are one of the few bands at CHS that didn't dissolve after the fad passed with the Battle of the Bands. Of course, they aren't the only one. Flash Drive never stopped being a thing, which means Applejack and Rainbow Dash can borrow their guitarist to settle a bet. Should be simple, right?

To be fair, it was still early in the girls' career as magical guardians. They had yet to learn that nothing is ever truly simple.

Flash Sentry has gone missing. Sunset is desperate to find out what’s happened, and contacts Twilight to ask about the Flash in her world, but it seems as though nobody else really cares.

Although Flash Sentry loves Twilight, she can never know of his love. She can never return the feelings. It wouldn't be proper. After all, social order is more important than fulfilling one's own wishes.
