I’ve been in Equestria for over 1500 years, and the memory of what I did to Luna and Celestia is still there, like a dull ache that will never go away. As an immortal, I’m going to have the next few thousand years to get used to it. Despite that, only thirty years have passed back on Earth. I wonder what’s become of Luna since we traded places. Is she alive? Dead? Married with kids?

My name’s Catherine, and you’re probably wondering what I’m babbling on about. If you’ll bear with me, I’ll start where it all began.

For a 1000 years she has been the sun of the Kingdom of Equestria, the sole ruler and forever the mother of her little ponies. but not everything is as it seems. Celestia is not just any alicorn princess, there is something that made her change several things, that made her act different sometimes, or at least for the last 3 centuries, why?

Because now... I am Celestia.

And now I know the meaning of sacrifice, of pain, of how power can hurt.

But now, I wonder, can I save everyone and bring back the real Eternal Sun back home? Or is the world doomed to be destroyed? Am I worthy of this crown? Well, they say Hope Rides Alone and it has a White Coat.

Of course... that doesn't mean I cannot have fun from time to time.

Then, suddenly, I wasn't. No biggie, because every brony's dream came true for me: I was reborn as a pony, an Alicorn even! That sounds great, right? Ah, aha, um, nope! Not when I'm the "son" of God-Empress Celestia of the Holy Empire of Equestria, who would make even the Imperium of 40k balk at her xenophobia and egomania. Canterlot lies steeped in chaos, a virulent and deadly plague still boiling away after a decade of suffering. The city, and the ponies in it, still feel the effects, still feel the bite of the times. The lower city, cursed as it is, is mostly partitioned off, leaving each and every pony left stranded and without help. Ponies struggle day by day just to stay alive.

Even as the ponies suffer, politicians toil away, plotting and scheming, machinations rumbling just below the surface. The city is fevered, sick and bloated, ready to pop at any moment. A single pony may be enough to make it all erupt.

And make it erupt Twilight Sparkle shall.

One small step, one lucky break is all she needs to turn the city on its head and take her rightful place by the Queen's side. But even she may not be prepared for the shark tank that is Luna's court.

Sweetie Belle is stuck in a time loop and the princesses have convinced her to take them with her.

Chaos ensues.

But one day he'll learn that, if you stay in a certain place long enough, there will be ponies curious enough to trot through the door.
