People like this are honestly hilarious

Today, I got a certain message, one that I've had a few times in the past.

It's about a random person who I've never met, complaining about a comment I left on an M-Rated incestuous story, wherein I said "incest is wincest".

    A Long Overdue Update

A fair few people have been asking when I'll get around to continuing The Evil Paradox.

    Short answer is, I will.

The long answer? The last couple years haven't exactly been kind to me for a variety of reasons that I don't really want to get into, but what I will say is that it has a lot to do with finances and mental health.

Monster Hunter is such a time sink

200 hours in two and a half months of one of my favourite games of all time, sorry-not sorry I haven't written a single damned word of anything lately I've just been having way too much fun for what feels like the first time in years that isn't the toxic fucking cesspool that is Overwatch.

    finally fucking finished

This chapter of TEP has just been one headache after another.

Imagine trying to complete a 5000 piece black and white gradient puzzle and having it take two years to do.

I don't know how much of a shit-show this chapter actually is until I get it sent off to be edited.

Evil Paradox Character Sheet · 1:22pm Apr 17th, 2018

This blog post will be dedicated to all the artwork related to The Evil Paradox, commissioned or otherwise. Source links will link back to the respective artist's page(s), or the source post for the piece. The contents of the blog will change as the story progresses, so this counts as the 'SPOILER WARNING' to cover my bases. Anything that contains spoilers will be covered with spoiler bars.

To begin, here's how Celestia and Luna look regarding their age at the beginning of the story.

Celestia is 217, and Luna is 119. Y'know, alicorn physiology and all that jazz. Also, Catherine is 35 at the beginning of the story.

Comet. 25yo pegasus stallion, and current Captain of Kate/Luna's guard following the events of Chapter 8. He grew up the youngest of four siblings. Eager to please, and a bit of a tail chaser.

Firefly. 24yo unicorn mare. Resident pyromancer. Was too busy setting stuff on fire during her youth to be bothered to learn how to swim. Firecely loyal, but a bit indifferent to everything else outside her circle of friends. Don't piss her off either; her magic power increases with the intensity of her anger. Immune to most forms of fire-based magic, she has a rare technique that lets her replenish her mana by consuming fire. Because of her magical disposition, Firefly has a metabolism twice that of a regular pony, and tends to burn through her energy quite quickly. As a result, she has to eat a proportionate amount of food to replenish the energy and magic she lost, which tends to be mountainous, or eat some fire to replenish her mana as well as a regular sized meal. But, if she eats too much fire, it'll cause a chain reaction with her mana pool and body, and she'll go supernova.

Boreas. 22yo pegasus mare. An extremely talented knife thrower. Because of her heritage, her latent pegasi magic is of a higher calibre then the standard pegasus. After Boreas ran away from home, she wound up at The Castle of the Two Sisters a year later. She's usually shy by nature, but opens up to people she feels comfortable around.

Bastille. 30yo earth pony. This guy is as big as Trouble Shoes and Rockhoof. His maul is enchanted to absorb, store, then output energy.

Here he is next to Boreas for a size comparison:

Ares. 28yo hybrid from a ram and pegasus. Inherited a portion of his father's magic, thus giving him cellular regenerative properties, a healing factor that is more potent than Luna's and Celestia's. Because his father was a ram and his mother a pegasus, the often unpredictable nature of what happens to a hybrid's mana resulted in the weather-based magic of his mother being 'fed' into this healing factor, which means that Ares cannot manipulate weather or walk on clouds. Because of his unique physiology and heritage, not only will Ares never gain a cutie mark, but has a higher durability than most pegasi, thus can literally fly head first into things like a battering ram. Pun intended.

Midnight. 26yo unicorn stallion. He was the weird kid in school. It was his notion of not wanting to be noticed that lead him to develop his magic: perception-based illusory charms. His magic revolves around the idea of altering how you view something. This can range from simple disguises, to complete invisibility.

This guy is officially my OC. All SFW art of him can be found on my main profile.

Veloce. The youngest of the bunch at just 20yo. There's no tragic backstory about her legs, she was born without them due to a birth defect, and learned how to walk using prosthetics her dad made. Because of her disability, she wanted to prove she was just as good as anyone else in a fight, so took up specialized training to teach her to fight with her hind legs. As a result, she's got the kicking strength of an earth pony.

Hayseed. 6yo earth pony colt. An outgoing little colt, he loves playing with friends and spending time with family, but gets upset when there's nobody to play with.

Can't wait for the next chapter and story Arc.

Good to see how they really look instead just what we imagine on our own.

I aim to achieve a more canon appearance for the characters by commissioning the same artist.
