Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant

Hi Everyone

Work continues on updating and revising The Monster Below, but as you might have noticed, it's been almost 4 months since the last update, and in that time, I've only managed to get up to chapter 13, which means the revision is about 40% done. Part of this is because, in addition to fixing grammar and punctuation errors, I am essentially re-writing each chapter to try and match my current writing abilities compared to where they were 4 (!) years ago. However, while this produces better, tighter writing, it's also taking a lot longer than I thought it would be, as I still have numerous other projects that need my attention, including The Monster Below: Sunfall, and a non-pony novel that's being revised after I sent it in to an agent.

With that in mind, I now want to ask interested buyers which version of the story they want:

1. The story as is, with punctuation cleaned up, but the writing unchanged past chapter 13.

2. The story completely revised for publication.

Option 1 will cause the story to be ready for printing and shipping to interested buyers much quicker, while option 2 will result in higher-quality work that will take longer to complete.

To be honest, at this point I want to finish up Monster and focus on current projects, but I also believe buyers of the eventual book deserve the chance to express which option they want. Thus, open period for expressing what you'd like will be for 30 days; during that time, I will be continue to fix punctuation, decide, based on views left here, which option to pursue on April 25th.

Now that The Monster Below: Nightfall is complete, I thought I'd put up a list of writing projects I have in the pipeline, so that none of them slip out of my memory. At this point my primary focus is on getting The Monster Below revised and ready to be published (still quite a ways off), and doing a few one-shot stories. Doing novels is fun, but it'd be nice to do one or, at most, two-chapter stories that don't take years to complete.

This list is subject to change based on muses, ideas, and other unknowns.

To Do:

1. Finish revising The Monster Below (In progress)

2. Celestia one-shot (Link)

3. Nightmare Star one-shot (Outlining)

4. Luna one-shot

5. Twilight one-shot

6. Horror crossover novel. (Outlining complete)

7. Final The Monster Below story. (In Progress)

8. Queen Chrysalis novella.

Excellent job, nothing better than learning your limits are a thing of the pass.

Okay, here you go! Because this was an improv class, this was just a basic outline that I expanded upon on the fly. Top part is reasons to destroy humanity, bottom part is why humanity should be spared.

Found the outline after temporarily losing it; I hope to have it up tomorrow.

You mean the one where I played an alien? I can, but most of the project was improved; I had a list that had the bullet points of what I wanted to cover, but I made all the dialogue up on the spot. I can still post it if you're interested.

Can you post the whole script/essay/paper please?

Hmm... well, I don't want to spoil anything, but the overriding theme of the series is "How far would you go to get what you wanted?", regardless of the moral cost.  Both stories start up a bit slow as the stage is set, but accelerate/will accelerate really fast as they race towards the conclusion.

Hope you like the stories!

Never heard of you before. Strange, seeing as you apparently write few, yet beloved stories. I think I'll skip Sharknado, and go straight for The Monster Below; the description and cover art makes me genuinely excited to get started.

Is there anything I should keep in mind when I begin tomorrow, without spoiling anything? Slow start, weak early chapters... things of that kind. Also, if I'm correct in assuming that flexible morality will be the major theme of this fic, it'll be a real treat for me.  Hmm, seeing the cover of the sequel, maybe more of "when science goes too far", and in this case, literally playing God. Still morality as the theme, I guess?

I digress. Ima hit the hay.

Ah yes, it's this one http://www.fimfiction.net/story/259218/melody-of-dismemberment

It's probably a good story, just needs it's own cover, not yours! I noticed it right away and was like "That can't be right.."

Thank you very much for the heads up; do you happen to have a link to the story in question? (or possibly remember the name?)  I'm going through the new ones, but I can't find it.

Just wanted to tell you a new story has taken your "The Monster Below: Nightfall" artwork as it's own artwork for that story, it's under the new stories, someone already told them, but I doubt the author will reply to them.

>>1612496 Indeed. Nightfall is starting to get good.

Gratz on another chapter Greenback, the sequel to The Monster Below is really taking shape. You're currently my favorite author on FimFiction.
