As one of Equestria's more popular writers, you relish the chance to get away and work on your newest romance novel and some side projects, when you meet a particular yellow pegasus who happens to be a fan of your work and oddly enough, you're a fan of hers as well... And here it is, the last in my "Mane 6" stories, By a Fireplace! This story, like all the others, takes place during all the others and has its own little niche in the timeline. I've had a lot of questions about the continuity of my stories, but please bare with me. I've got a plan, a timeline, and graphs.

Anyway, about the story itself... Hmm... Well, nothing really special or no warning I should post... This should be a pretty tame story, but if there's a development even I didn't expect, I'll make sure to put it here.

You soon find that the line between friend, enemy, and lover aren't as clear as you'd thought. Especially when it comes to this Vinyl Scratch character.

Girls repulse you. All those tea parties and cooties and pink bows and stuff. A smart ten year old colt like yourself wants nothing to do with them! You're perfectly happy playing with your model train set. But when the Cutie Mark Crusaders chase you down to discover the secrets of gaining a Cutie Mark, you find there's more to those fillies than you think. Especially their ringleader, Apple Bloom.

Freshly broken up with yet another mare you return to the place that cost you your sight with little going for you other than being a weather Pegasus. Your boss as it turns out would be the last pony anypony would expect you to get along with at first. But since she doesn't know and you long since forgave her it should be fine... at least until she decides you're her newest prank victim.
