Chapter 19
You, Dash and Scootaloo are sitting in Sugar Cube Corner each sipping a Pinkie Shake. As you're sipping the shake you're also writing two letter to your parents and one for Rose Beat to let them know about this sudden commitment to a little filly.
"What are you doing?" asks Dash
"Writing a letter to my parents and Rose Beat" you say still with the straw in your mouth
"Why?"
"Because I think they should know about this adoption thing"
"Why don't we just go and visit them?" suggest Scootaloo
You drop the pen and look over at Scootaloo. Scoots looks at you with a mixed reaction of confusions and a bit of fear and flinches a little thinking that she had done something wrong.
"That... is a good shout there Scoots" you say that makes the little filly smile
"So when should we go?" asks Dash looking at you
"This weekend? Scootaloo still has school" you say and Dash nods her head in agreement
The bell to Sugar Cube Corner rings and two pairs of hoof steps come closer and closer towards your table.
"Howdy " a southern voice says
You all look over to the where voice came from to see earth pony who live at Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack and Applebloom.
"Mind if we join ya?" asks Applejack
"Sure, go ahead" say Rainbow
The two apples sisters grab a few spare chairs and pull them towards the table sit down. But before Applebloom sits down she grabs Scootaloo into and hugs her tight. You can she on the expression on Scootaloo face that she was not expecting the hug
"I'm so happy for you Scootaloo" Applebloom cheers "I'm happy that you finally got away from your mean parents
"You and me both" Scootaloo chuckles
"We all are Scootakins" you say with a grin
Scootaloo stops Applebloom from hugging her and looks at you with annoyance "Don't call me that"
You look over a Applejack how happens to be looking at you as well
"Applejack" You say getting her attention "I just wanted to say I'm sorry for the way I acted a couple of days ago an-"
Applejack raises her hoof making you stop mid sentence.
"It's okay Star, I forgive ya' I wasn't thinking straight either" She says with a smile
"So you're not mad at me?"
She shacks her head a start to speak again "Nah, I can't stay mad at you"
Dash looks at Applejack in confusions
"What do you mean by that Applejack?" Dash questions
"You have to admit Dash, it's kind of hard to stay mad at him" Applejack explains then look at you with a strange look on her face
"True true" Dash say nodding her head
"Especially with his perfect eyes" Applejack continues looking at you with a flirty look
"Err Applejack?" you say getting uncomfortable
"And his smooth like mane and coat and-"
"APPLEJACK!!" Dash shouts slamming her hoofs on the table, causing Applejack to brake a rant about you "What are you talking about Star like that!"
Applejack covers her muzzle realising what she just said. Rainbow glares at Applejack with rage.
"Do you have a crush on StarGazer?" Scootaloo speaks up
Applejack scrunches up her muzzle, Dash get closer to Applejack still with rage of fire in her eyes
"Well?!" Says Dash "Do you?!"
Beads of sweat run don Applejack face as she darts her eyes around looking for a excuse.
"Heh, look at the time we gotta get goin'" Applejack say grabbing Applebloom hooves and darting out of the bakery shop
"Well that was anticlimactic " say Scootaloo then taking a sip of her Pinkie shake
"Scootaloo, that doesn't really apply to this type of situation... or does it?" you ask rising an eyebrow at Dash, in which she responds with a shrug

After a couple of days it was finally the weekends during the week you and Dash would pick up Scootaloo from school and give her some more flying lessons. And now it was time to head back to Fillydelphia, your parents knew you were coming since you sent them a latter in advance. You, Dash and Scootaloo are sitting on the train to Fillydelphia, you see that Scootaloo is looking out the window and she has a worried look on her face.
"Scoots, what's the matter?" you ask her
She turns to you and says "W-What if your parents don't like me, what if they hate me, then they'll hate you and dash, then you and Dash will-"
You cover scoots mouth before she could continue her train of thought.
"Scoot, you have nothing to worry about, they're going to love you" you say with a smile, then taking your hoof away from her mouth "In fact, they sent me a letter saying that they're excited to meet you"
"T-They are?" She question with a tone of shock in her voice
You give a little nod "And Rose Beat might be there as well"
"She will?" asks Dash
"Yeah, she wants to see Scootaloo again, more then she wants to see me" you chuckle
Scootaloo's nerves seems to calm down a bit and she seems a bit more happy. You also notice that Dash lets out a yawn that make you chuckle
"Tired are we?" you asks with a smirk, Dash hits your arm while saying 'Shut up'
After a couple of hours the train finally comes to a stop and Dash, Scootaloo and yourself walk of the train and head out the train station and walk down Fillydelphia. Scootaloo is in 'awh' of the city, you can tell that she's never been in a city like this before, even though Dash has been here already she also looks around likes she's been here before.
After walking around and giving a little tour of the city, you finally reach your parents house.
"So this is the house you grew up in huh?" ask Dash
"Pretty much" you say then knocking on the door
After wait patiently the door finally open revealing your mother.
"Stargazer" she say happily then pulling in you in for a hug
"Hi mum" you say hugging her back
She lets go of you and look towards Dash a smiles "Hello again Dash"
"Hi Mrs..." Dash then pauses because she forgot your mums name
"Rose Petal" Your mum says "Well don't just stand out there, come on in" you mum say stepping away from the door so you can walking in
You're confused by that fact that she didn't mention Scootaloo. You look back at the little filly to find that she hid behind Dash, so you can see why your mum didn't see her
You, Dash and Scootaloo, who was still hiding behind Dash leg, walking in to your old house and head towards the front room where you found your dad standing in the middle of the room.
"Hey Star" You dad greets you with a smile "Hello again Dash"
"Hello, Mister StarGazers father" Dash says, you give a slight smirk at your dad in which she rolls his eyes with a slight smile on his face
"You really didn't remember our names" your mum says walking into the room
A little chuckle comes from Dash, while she scratches the back of her neck, "Heh, no"
"So, Mum, Dad" you say catching their attention "This is Scootaloo"
You and Dash step out of the way so that Scootaloo was in there line of vision, Scootaloo realises that you and Dash stepped out of way and she freezes up. As soon as your mums eyes lay sight on Scoots she instantly thinking about cuddling the filly.
"It's nice to finally meet you Scootaloo" your mum says in a sweet tone
"H-Hi" Scootaloo says nervously
"Awwh, there's no need to be nervous" Your mother continue walking over to her slowly with a smile
"Yeah, come on Scoot" You say look down at scootaloo
Finally Scootaloo calms down and smiles back at your mum. You all take a seat on the couch and sit in a minute of silence.
"So Scootaloo, from what Star told us you didn't exactly have the best family" Say your father
"T-That's right sir" say Scootaloo
"Oh please call me Frost Bite, it makes me feel old" you Dad says chuckling
"But you are old Dad, you're like 70" you say with a smirk because you know that your dad didn't like old jokes, your also hear Dash and Scoots giggle slightly
"I'm 54 thank you very much" he say angrily, looking at you straight in the eye while you still smirk
"So Dash, Scootaloo" Your mother says catching their attention "Is this your first time Fillydelphia?"
"Well, this is my second time, my first time here I didn't really get a chance to look around because I was looking for Star" explains Dash "But this is Scootaloo first time" she continues ruffling Scoots mane
Suddenly Knocking on the door interrupts your conversation . Your mother getting off the couch and walks over to the door. Suddenly you hear a voice you recognize
"Hi, Mum" the voice says
"Hi Rose Beat, come in"
Your sister walks into the room and everyone says "Hello" at the same time. Usually You would be the first to get a hug from Rose Beat, but instead she grabs Scootaloo first and hugs her tightly.
"I'm SSSOOO happy for you!!" She says soundly like Pinkie
She finally lets go of Scoots and walks over to you and Dash. She gives Dash a quick little hug, she then hugs you tightly
"I've missed you" she say still hugging you
"It's only been a week" you say still hugging her
"I know, but I just missed your voice" she says letting go of you "Like when we were little, and when I came back from school you would come running to me saying 'Wose Beat, Wose beat, I missed you'" Your sister continues giggling
"Ohh, that is embarrassing" Dash says with a giggle
"Surely you don't some pretty silly stuff when you were a filly, Dash" you say raising and eyebrow at her
"Like you did, Star?" your mum says with a little smile
"Exactly"
Dash rolls her eyes and look towards your mum
"Do you remember any silly stuff Star did a foal?" asks Dash
"What kind of question is that? of course I do" She says happily
"Can you tell us?" Says Scootaloo
"I'd be happy to" you mum says with a smile
"Oh No" you say out loud

After a couple of embarrassing stories that had Dash and Scoots in a fit of giggles, it was time to head home, after saying good bye to your family, you, Dash and Scoots headed back to the train station.
After a long train ride back your finally reach Ponyville. On the way back Scootaloo had fallen asleep so says that she was going to carry her on her back so he doesn't wake up.
After walking through Ponyville you get stopped by a lavender unicorn.
"Guys, I have some good news" she says excitedly
"You cured cancer" you guess
"I wish" she says "Anyway here's the good news"
She pauses leaving you and Dash on the edge of your hoofs
"We got tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala"
