Chapter 10

"Scoots? What were you doing out there?" Dash asks with concern
"M-My Dad" she say wiping her eyes
"What the matter with your Dad?"

Scootaloo's eye starts to fill up the tears again. She holds on to your neck and starts to cry into your fur.

"Hey, Hey Hey" you say with your most caring voice "There's no need to cry"

Scootaloo still cry's into your fur. You pick her off you back and bring her into a hug, Scootaloo bury's her head into your chest like she trying to hind away from the world. Dash comes and sits net to you and strokes her mane

"It's okay" say Dash "You don't have to tell us straight way, we just wanted to know why you were outside"

After a couple of minutes Scootaloo calms down and lets go of you

"Now how about we get you dry and have a cup of hot chocolate, then maybe you can tell us what happened, alright?" you ask Scootaloo

"Okay" She say wiping her eyes dry again

You walk over to the bathroom and grab a couple of towels for you and for Scootaloo. You hoof one other to Scootaloo. Dash is in the kitchen make the hot chocolate all of you.

After a couple of minutes the hot chocolate was done. You, Dash and Scootaloo sit on the sofa drinking the hot liquid.

"So Scoots, what happened?" You ask

Scoots places the hot chocolate down on the table and lets out a big sigh.

"Well, My dad got drunk again and, well he started yelling at me and I yelled back and.....and.....he hit me so I ran away, and he told to never come back" Scootaloo say explaining her story. She doesn't make any eye contacted with you or dash she just looks at the cloud flooring

You and Dash look at each other with shock. You can see in Dash's eyes that she's angry. You're angry as well

"Has this happened before or is this the first time it's happened?" Dash asks the upset filly
"This has happened before" Scoots say just above a whisper

More shock and rage fills you and Dash

"Why didn't you tell anypony?" You asks
"Because he said that if I tell anypony he'll make sure that I will never get my cutie mark" She say still looking at the floor
"So he placed a death threat?" Dash asks with anger and shock in her voice

Scootaloo nods her head slowly.

"Why didn't your mother do anything?"
"My mums too self conscious to do anything about it, she to concerned about herself then me, and....and she left home a couple of weeks ago and hasn't returned, and Dad been getting drunk everyday, so I've been basically been taking care of myself" she say with tears now in her eyes

Dash garbs your hoof and pulls you into the bedroom.

"We'll be right back" Dash says before closing the door "I can't believe this"
"I know, who would do this to there own filly!?" You asking a rhetorical question
"We can't send her back to her father, things could just get worse" says Dash

You both stop and think for a minute

"She could stay here for a couple of weeks" you suggest"
"I don't know"
"Come on, we both know that we can't send her back to her home, and we can't let sleep on the cobbles" you explain
"But we can't look after a filly for a week, lets face it, Were both kinda lazy, and your well....you can be a bit of a child at time"
"Hey"
"But do you really think that this is the right thing?" Dash ask

You simple nod your head. You want the best for this lovable filly and your mind is set

"Alright, we'll look after" Dash says with a smile
"Awesome, lets go tell her" You say then walk towards the bedroom door

You exit the bedroom to see Scootaloo still sitting on the sofa looking down at the floor. You and Dash walk over to her and stand in front of her

"Scootaloo, we've been talking and we-"
"Your gonna kick me out?" She asks with fear
"No, far from it" you say with a smile

Scoots sighs with relief

"We've decided that your gonna stay with us for a while, or until we can get this sorted out" you say still smiling
"W-W-What?"
"You heard him right scoots, you're staying with us" Dash say with smile

Scootaloo eyes fill up with tear yet again. But these weren't tears sadness, these were tears of happiness. She leaps up from the sofa and wraps her arms around Dash and give her a hug

"THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU" she say repeatedly
"It's okay Scoots" Dash say returning the hug

You can't help but smile. The little filly finally has a smile on her face. Scootaloo lets go of Dash and wraps her arms around you, You still have the biggest smiles on your face.

"Now it's getting pretty late" You say letting go of Scootaloo "Little fillys shouldn't be up at this hour"
"But it's the weekends" Say Scootaloo
"True, but judging by the bags under your eyes, you haven't had much sleep"
"Yeah, but can I at lest stay up a little longer?" She asks
"Sorry Scoots"
"Come on Scoots, I'll show you to your room" Dash says walking down the hallway
"M-My room?" Scootaloo asks in shock
"Well yeah, unless you want to sleep on the couch" Dash say with a smile

Scootaloo walks past you and follows dash down the hall. You smile to yourself again and walk over to the sofa.

"You've done good StarGazer, You've done good" you say to yourself

Time - 11:45

You wake up and let out a big yawn. You walk over to the the bedroom door and open it. You head over to the kitchen and start to cook up some pancakes. Dash enters the kitchen and gives you a kiss on the cheek as a good morning greeting.

"So what you cooking?" Dash asks
"Just some pancakes" you say then flipping the pan cake in the air and catching it in the pan
"Show off"
"It's Scoots up yet?" You asks
"I don't know" Dash responds

The door down the hall creaks open and a little orange and purple filly walks out rubbing her eyes and letting out a little yawn. It was kinda cute in a way

"Hey squirt, sleep well?" Dash ask
"M hmm" Scootaloo say while walking to the table "Best sleep I've had in months"
"Months?" You question
"Yeah.....Mum and Dad always argue at night" Scoots explains while getting up onto the chair
"Well I promise there will be NO arguments here" Dash say taking a seat next to scoots
"Anyway, what would you girls like on your pancakes?" You ask
"How about some syrup apple slices" Dash say
"Can I have a pancake on pancake?" Scoots asks

You let out a little chuckle at her request

"Course you can" You say
"Make that two then" Dash say
"Coming right up" you say with a little chuckle

You finish making two pancakes and place it on a plate. You add a little syrup and take the plate to over to Scootaloo. You didn't want to mention it in front of her but see looked a little skinny but at least now she's getting some food in her belly. You return back to the kitchen can start to make a second batch of pancakes for yourself and Dash. After you finished making pancakes for yourself and Dash you return with two pancakes plates and place one in front of Dash, you also place a plate in front of yourself and start to dig in to your pancakes.

After You, Dash and Scootaloo finished your pancakes and placed them in the sink. You return back to the sofa and sit next to your marefriend

"Now Scoots, If you're gonna be staying with us you're going to learn how to fly" Dash say breaking the silence
"Really?!" Scootaloo asks with excitement
"Yep, I fact we should get started right away" Dash says with a smile
"WOOHOO!" Scoots shouts "Lets go" She say running towards the door

You and Dash chuckle and chase after the little filly

You, Scoots and Dash walk though Ponyville heading to the park to give Scoots some flying lessons. As you walk Dash is already giving some tip on how to fly.

"Howdy Everypony" A southern mare say stopping the three of you in your tracks
"Hey Applejack" Dash say greeting her friends
"How is everypony this morning?" Applejack asks
"Fine" Dash answers
"I'm good" You say
"I'm doing FANTASTIC!" Scoots shouts
"That's nice to here" Applejack says with a smile "StarGazer, do ya mind helping out at the farm today?"
"Not today Applejack" You say with natural face "We promised flying lessons to little Scootakins here" you say ruffling Scootaloos mane
"Don't call me that" Scootaloo say

You, Applejack and Dash chuckle at Scootaloo

"Maybe tomorrow then?" Applejack ask
"Yeah, see ya then" you say walking past her
"Have a good rest of the day, try not to hurt yourself Scootaloo" Applejack say as you all walk away

After a couple of hours standing in the park and watching Scootaloo flap her tiny wings so that she can get of the ground, you all deiced to take a break and lay down on the field looking up at a clouds

"That one looks like a cat" Scoots say pointing at one of the clouds
"Oh yeah" you say with a smile
"That one looks like a Hydra" Dash say pointing at sky
"Where?" You ask
"Over there look" Dash say still pointing at the sky
"I don't see anything" You say
"You're not looking at it right" Dash say
"Scoot, can you see it?" you ask
"Yeah" She answered "It's not hard to miss"

You sit up and look at the sky

"You two are lying me" you say
"It right there" Dash say also sitting up at the same time as Scootaloo

You continue look up at the sky.

You can here Dash and Scoots whispering at each other

You then get tackled to the ground by Dash and Scootaloo. Dash pins your front hoofs to the ground, you then start to laugh uncontrollably because scoots is using her wings to tickle you. They then let go of your so that you can get your breath back.

Dash whisper something into your ear and your agree with her by nodding you head.You and Dash look over at Scootaloo with smiles. Scootaloo looks at You and Dash with a look of confusion Her confused expression didn't last because she soon realized what you were about to do. You and Dash tackle her to the ground before she could ran away. You and Dash start to tickle Scoots. Scootaloo laugh was you cutest thing yo have every herd, not as cute as Dash's puppy dog eyes, but it was so cute it could put a baby bunny to shame. Scootaloo laugh is so contagious that you and Dash start to laugh as well. You and Dash let go of her and fall to the floor laughing.

The three of you lay on the field having a laughing fit.

But the fit didn't last

"There you are you worthless filly!" a angry stallion voice calls out

You, Dash and Scoots stand up look over to see a orange coated Pegasus with a red mane and tail, wobbling across the field, It was obvious that he was drunk. Scootaloo cowers behind Dash's leg.

"Who is that?" Dash asks Scootaloo
"That's my Dad" Scootaloo answers
