The humans at the restaurant Freddy Fazbear's are getting tired of having to replace the night guard every week, and go to Canterlot to ask for Princess Luna's help. She agrees to help, but the animatronics aren't expecting a blue alicorn princess to replace last week's guard. Needless to say, they are caught off guard.

Stop me me if you heard this one: I have been sent to Canterlot High on a personal quest. Now... Wait. Isn't this supposed to be the Nightmare Night Special? Why is my Nightmare Night Special stuck in Equestria Girls? That's not scary! Wouldn't it be better if I was in... You know what? I'm okay with this. It's been a while since the girls have seen their good friend Harry Dresden. Discord escaped, Luna attended her first Nightmare Night, the Royal Wedding was crashed by hordes of changelings, and Pinkie Pie threw a statistically improbable number of parties. They tried inviting Dresden, but between his new job and new apprentice, he always claimed to be too busy. The solution was obvious; if he couldn't come to his friends, they needed to go visit him. Besides, they say Earth is lovely this time of year. What could go wrong?

Prince Blueblood thought the Grand Galloping Gala was over. He thought he could just go to sleep and put it behind him. He never expected to be reliving the same disaster of a day, over and over... and over.

For his first task as the new Winter Knight, Harry must travel to the land of cute little cartoon ponies to stop a plot by the Order of Blackened Denarius that threatens both Earth and Equestria.

Warning: Includes massive spoilers for the Dresden Files series up through Ghost Story.

The vampires of the Red Court are vile and cunning creatures, they attempt to conquer or destroy everything around them. Now a small group of the vampires have stumbled across a new world to take for their own, but they did not come alone. Wizard Harry Dresden and Knight of the Cross Michael Carpenter chased after the creatures and now find themselves trapped in the same world the vampires are slowly taking. They must lend their experience to the local inhabitants if they are to fight off the growing horde, and the new Red King.

I will explain the Dresden history as it becomes relevant to the story. So it is not necessary to have read the Dresden books to understand what's going on.
