Canterlot Castle's Royal Guards haven't had the best track record when it came to doing their jobs as Canterlot's defenders. This hasn't gone unnoticed by Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.

When the sisters pondered the reason for their guards' ineffectiveness, Luna concluded that Celestia's motherly nature toward her guards – as well as all her ponies – had prevented her from ensuring they received the proper training. Therefore Luna volunteered to personally turn the guards into buff, mean, fighting machines.

That is, if the guards could survive what the Princess of the Night had in store for them.

This story is a sequel to Drill Sergeant Luna

Still lamenting her guards' quick and embarrassing loss against the now-reformed Changelings, Princess Cadance decided she should personally whip them into better fighting shape. Princess Luna electing to train Canterlot's guards herself was a change that worked wonders for them.

However, Shining Armor doubted if Cadance, possibly the kindest of the alicorn princesses, was emotionally capable of training her guards with the same degree of "tough love" that Princess Luna had with hers.

Fortunately, or unfortunately from the guards' point of view, Shining's worries proved to be wrong once Princess Cadance became Sergeant Cadance.

Enough will be explained to not require reading this story's predecessor first. However, check it out if you want to see the details of how Princess Luna's training of Canterlot's guards went and what led to it.

Dashverse AU: Rainbow Dash, the student of Queen Celestia, finds herself in the awkward position of playing diplomat when Ember, the Dragon Lord, suddenly takes up residence in a mountain just outside Ponyville. This is attracting all manner of attention, including from other dragons.

Rainbow Dash has to find out what brought Ember to Ponyville and what's going on in the Dragon Lands. Luckily, she's being aided by a dragon expert Celestia dispatched from Canterlot. Unluckily, Twilight has a bit of a history with him, which only complicate Rainbow Dash's own efforts to muddle through this stint of draconic diplomacy.

There's a new filly in Celestia's school, who finds making friends difficult. She's seated next to a filly who could care less about making friends. Neither is exactly friend material... but sometimes you just have to take a risk...

So, I got blasted by some mages in my world, and now I'm in a completely new one. I'm something called a 'kirin', and I've lost my opposable thumbs. Surprisingly, it wasn't a polymorph spell either! My magic has gone completely wack. I burned down a forest. And apparently I'm the first ever Kirin to have alicorn magic, which sounds awesome right? Well, not when you're constantly combusting into flames! I never wanted this! And for some reason these ponies keep treating me so nicely. Even after I keep screwing everything up. How hard is it to act like normal for once in my life?

What? There's nothing wrong with me! Please don't send me back...

Everypony loves a nice snow day, especially the fillies and colts who miss a day of school because of the snow. But when days turn to weeks, and the snow doesn't stop falling, Ponyville is facing an endless winter. The Cutie Mark Crusaders try to find out what's wrong, and why the snow keeps falling with no signs of letting up. Can the Cutie Mark Crusaders discover the root of the problem before Ponyville freezes over completely? Let's find out in this adventure!

What if during 'Dragon Quest,' Spike met dragons different from Garble and his goons? What if they became close enough friends for Spike to form his own friend group? How would things be different? How much would things stay the same?

Kind of a re-telling of MLP from 'Dragon Quest' onward, with Spike having a group of five dragon OC friends. Twilight and the Mane Six will still have their usual adventures, but will have some additional backup along the way. Additionally, I'll have my OCs learn a couple lessons of their own.

After Arizona's battle with Oleander and FHTNG leaves her unconscious, Paprika carries her away to safety.

Though she at first struggles to understand Paprika, they will form a bond that may change the course of her adventure and of Foenum itself.

A baby step for an attempt at finishing the story we may never see completed.

I can't know or write the story Mane 6 would have told, but I can try to tell my own while respecting their vision: without the limits or opportunities of story mode gameplay.

Not a crossover or a shipping story.

There are two retcons here: that Paprika carried Arizona out of the temple instead of Arizona waking up on her own, and that the RSS Donner/Prancer stayed at port for a few days instead of leaving in the morning.

Since Velvet and Stronghoof appear to understand her, I chalk it up her incomprehensibility to an accent and a speech impediment.

To represent Arizona initially struggling to understand Paprika, I've mimicked the Papdings system used to code what she said: there will be a key alongside a spoilered, plaintext version below.
