Not knowing what you are writing about can... cause issues.

Example:
My dad read a book set in London and he was a bit annoyed that the author had characters riding bikes... 200 years before they were invented.

Extreme example.

Still haven't gotten around to reading it. All I know about it is he Don't Panic and the fact the 42 is the meaning of life thing came from. Looking forward to reading it though
