A curious question... · 3:20am March 8th

If anyone here is Japanese, or has been to Japan and is knowledgeable on the subject, how does the common Japanese see the struggle between Tokugawa and Ishida? The one shown in the two videos below.

It seems to me like Tokugawa unjustly seized power from the Toyotomis, and that Ishida was trying to defend the right of the boy heir to be shogun, but there is probably a lot more to the story that I'm missing.

When I started writing the interaction between Nightmare Moon and her Nemesis, I originally planned for Nightmare to reveal her origins. However. . . I changed my mind for a few reasons:

1. If I used my own favored explanation for where Celestia and Luna came from, it would actually be a bit of a spoiler for a couple of other stories -- currently on hiatus but I do plan to get back to them.

Quick Overview of Pegasus History in North Amareica · 7:47am Feb 21st, 2016

I have the following stages outlined.

(1) Raiding: Pegasi raid the Earth Ponies for food and other moveable goods. At this point, the Pegasi regard the other Kinds as subponies. Here the only influence would come from slaves, and for physical reasons the Pegasi could only use Earth Pony slaves in their ground settlements (probably located in places accessible only by flight).

Tryptophan's Pilgrim · 12:22pm Nov 26th, 2015

Once upon a time in England, there was a religious sect known as the Puritans, whose tenets were basically opposed to people enjoying themselves. Unsurprisingly, no one liked them, so they decided to escape religious persecution by traveling to the promising New World, where they could be free to persecute other religions.

The Internet is now officially old · 4:06am Oct 30th, 2019

Happy Birthday, Internet!

On October 29, 1969, UCLA’s Network Measurement Center, Stanford Research Institute (SRI), University of California-Santa Barbara, and University of Utah mounted the first 4 nodes of the ARPANET. The first successful message was sent by UCLA student programmer Charley Kline, at 10:30 pm on 29 October 1969, from Boelter Hall 3420.

That was 50 years, 1 hour, and 30 minutes ago.

In my nostalgia quest, I wandered in an old forum I was an admin along with some other beaner friends of mine. Yeah, I'm mexican too.
And then... I saw this and screencapped this!!

So I'm tickled pink whenever I find something that's about all three at the same time. Like this dude, 'Steve1989MREinfo.'

As you can probably decipher from the name, he's a MRE (Meal Ready to Eat) effectionado. Ever played Metal Gear and had your ass saved by a Ration? Yeah, he reviews slash tries those things.
