If anyone here is Japanese, or has been to Japan and is knowledgeable on the subject, how does the common Japanese see the struggle between Tokugawa and Ishida? The one shown in the two videos below.
It seems to me like Tokugawa unjustly seized power from the Toyotomis, and that Ishida was trying to defend the right of the boy heir to be shogun, but there is probably a lot more to the story that I'm missing.
Before I get started on today’s post, I do want to issue a little reminder. Today is June 6th, 2019.

Hong established the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and waged war against the Qing, seeking to destroy the Qing and enact major social reforms. Did you know that Dr. Von Braun had designed a manned mission to Mars as early as 1952? From what I understand the math still adds up, the mission would've worked. When I started writing the interaction between Nightmare Moon and her Nemesis, I originally planned for Nightmare to reveal her origins. However. . . I changed my mind for a few reasons:

Once upon a time in England, there was a religious sect known as the Puritans, whose tenets were basically opposed to people enjoying themselves. Unsurprisingly, no one liked them, so they decided to escape religious persecution by traveling to the promising New World, where they could be free to persecute other religions.
Happy Birthday, Internet!
On October 29, 1969, UCLA’s Network Measurement Center, Stanford Research Institute (SRI), University of California-Santa Barbara, and University of Utah mounted the first 4 nodes of the ARPANET. The first successful message was sent by UCLA student programmer Charley Kline, at 10:30 pm on 29 October 1969, from Boelter Hall 3420.
That was 50 years, 1 hour, and 30 minutes ago.
So I got tired of making blog posts that never led to any actual content, so I did it in reverse order: Content first. Guess what? It worked.
Hitch: …that is kinda what our teacher said in history class.
Izzy: …Come on, rip out all the pages of your history books
Historians love writing books explaining how other historians got it all wrong.
