Let's give them something to hope for.

I am a hunting-specified ape descendent, combat vet, father of exclusively female offspring, professional writer, editor and an all-around prolixious twit. I don't want to commit art; I just want to tell stories.

My alternate identity works for Simon & Schuster and sells content across the known wordosphere.

Asyndeton is my thing.

Want your work reviewed by an industry professional? What a coincidence; I am an industry professional. If you are contemplating a writing career and would like the opinion of a seasoned (seasoned? eh, semi-seasoned) industry editor, submit your work to my new group. Timelines not guaranteed (or even vaguely adhered to).

What published authors pay me for, you can get for free. Because ponies.

I no longer review or edit stories unless they are in this group.

Forty-three point four six isotopic density times three, considering the mass of the specimen. Add one-forty-four, plus the product of my experimental equation... I punched the numbers.

43.46 x 3 + 144 + 81.562

Multiply that by 57. Add 9,289... Double the sum... Subtract 58287.8571, and I got...

Impossible. I ran the numbers through the calculator again, making painstaking effort to ensure all decimal points were in their proper places.

Hey! Thanks for the fav for Dragon King's Rebirth. I'd love to hear what you think of it so far!

Clever. I like it.

I keep getting sucked into the story

That is the highest payment I could hope to garner.

Dangit... my riddle has two correct answers. Back to the drawing board. My answer is "a complement." Which, if genuine, is certainly a high form of respect. So I suppose either answer works.

I'm reading Source right now, and I keep trying to make notes about what I like or dislike, or comments and suggestions about the technical problems I find... but I keep getting sucked into the story and forget to take notes. Lately I've been having a lot of trouble telling my internal editor to shut up, so it's rare that I can just sit down and read for the enjoyment of it. Thanks.

Also, I've been seeing a lot of hospitals lately and thinking a lot about neuroscience... perhaps that has something to do with it.

I think this might be an odd amalgam of multiple riddles. Solving it requires that you... expand your thinking.

Give me a few days to mull it over in the crock pot of my subconscious. Perhaps I'll have an answer when I come back to it later.

Oh, you can most certainly sell attention. Reality TV is living proof of this.

But very close!
