Forty-three point four six isotopic density times three, considering the mass of the specimen. Add one-forty-four, plus the product of my experimental equation... I punched the numbers.
43.46 x 3 + 144 + 81.562
Multiply that by 57. Add 9,289... Double the sum... Subtract 58287.8571, and I got...
Fifty-five.
Impossible. I ran the numbers through the calculator again, making painstaking effort to ensure all decimal points were in their proper places.
Fifty-five.
Hey! Thanks for the fav for Dragon King's Rebirth. I'd love to hear what you think of it so far!

Clever. I like it.
That is the highest payment I could hope to garner.

Dangit... my riddle has two correct answers. Back to the drawing board. My answer is "a complement." Which, if genuine, is certainly a high form of respect. So I suppose either answer works.
I'm reading Source right now, and I keep trying to make notes about what I like or dislike, or comments and suggestions about the technical problems I find... but I keep getting sucked into the story and forget to take notes. Lately I've been having a lot of trouble telling my internal editor to shut up, so it's rare that I can just sit down and read for the enjoyment of it. Thanks.
Also, I've been seeing a lot of hospitals lately and thinking a lot about neuroscience... perhaps that has something to do with it.

Give me a few days to mull it over in the crock pot of my subconscious. Perhaps I'll have an answer when I come back to it later.

Respect?

Oh, you can most certainly sell attention. Reality TV is living proof of this.
But very close!
