This is great. I’m going to get a good grade in horsefic, something that is both normal to want and possible to achieve,

This is just such a great read. It's so impressive that you manage to give each one of them a unique voice, even in so short a span of words. And the ideas of hope and friendship shining through even the darkest of moments is truly beautiful, and manages to be genuine and not cheesy. This is impressive writing.

Well this was a pretty sweet story seeing the background characters hanging out with each other

Man, it’s almost nostalgic seeing a story with all these guys together. A very sweet story indeed. Wish dr hooves could have been there to complete the background 6 but what you gunna do, it was lovely simple seeing these five together

Delightful friendshipping and some really unique prose describing the scenery. The hints of broader characterization are a fine touch too.

Hello, a review of your story has been posted. I hope you find helpful. :raritywink:

Hello mushroompone.
Here is a review I did of your story.
I have fun reading it, and I really enjoy it. Hope it's the same with your writing it.
Sincerely,
Scoping Landscape

This is such a wonderful story! Every character has such a unique way of speaking, I can really hear their voices in them. Bon-Bon in particular is great because of how rare the depiction is, her more western, bouncy tone really just works and it manages to set her apart more from the others.

Speaking of speaking, heh, the banter is just great. Lyra and Vinyl are bickering, Octavia is mildly annoyed at Vinyl, Bon-Bon is the straight-mare that still has a bit of mischief, and Ditzy seems to content to blend in and just listen to her friends.

The overlooking view about the sky is just beautiful. It's one of the best descriptions I've ever seen, and the line about them being their own mountains is perfect. It's a moment that brings them together, and it shows from how Ditzy is afraid of the sun rising. Honestly everything about this story is so subtly wonderful. It's a stunning example of Slice of Life. Cheers!

A very sweet little slice of life! I really feel the atmosphere of established friendship between these five characters. And I do wonder if Vinyl's vocabulary is the reason she is depicted as mute in the show. A fun little mini-headcanon.

Of course, a part of me does wish that the story had ended with this:

Maybe eternal night wasn’t the end of everything.

Maybe your eyes could adjust.

Because I really loved those lines, it's very me.

Howdy, hi!

I continue to adore your work Mushroom. This is a really cozy slice of life that just felt really heartwarming and comfortable. That close-knit feeling of togetherness against the possibilities of a grim future. I just love how fleshed out the characters felt. The conversation was like something I would have had with my own friends and it just left me with a warm fuzzy feeling.

As always, much appreciated for the nice work.
