Marcus was just a young man who was just going along with his day when he suddenly found himself in the middle of the desert. As he traveled to find a way to survive, he is discovered by a sphinx who decides to challenge him to a game of riddles. If Marcus wins, than she will allow him to leave unharmed. But if the sphinx wins, then she may do whatever she pleases with him.

This is a light swing at 'Rainbro' stories. Enjoy.

The local human is not especially happy being stranded where he is, finding the natives too brightly coloured and too friendly and all-in-all a little daunting. He is rarely seen outside the house on the edge of town. They give him space.

One very early morning an especially loud, house-rattling sounds draws him outside though, and rather makes his day.

"Why are you sweating? It's a simple question."

When Sunset Shimmer left Celestia's tutelage, she entered the magic mirror that had shown her dreams coming true, but instead of ending up in a simian mirror-version of Canterlot, she ended up in a strange school of magic, an esoteric, arcane, and clumsy kind of magic, but a potent one nonetheless.

Disoriented, and her mission somewhat derailed, Sunset is nonetheless determined to become an alicorn. She has glimpsed eternity, and will continue to pursue it. Whether the magics of the school of Hogwarts will aid her or not remains to be seen.
