Several months have passed since the Siege of Canterlot, and things have begun to mostly return to normal. Twilight's reborn friends are settling in well, and the cleanup is going rather smoothly.

So of course something has to happen to upend it all. When she receives a message out of the blue, Twilight is shocked to see who it is from.

Alexstrasza, the Life-Binder and one of the two near-mythical Dragon Aspects, herself, wants to meet her and Pearl. But why, and why does she seem so interested in Pearl herself?

Twilight is VERRRY much not a morning mare. In fact, she doesn't have the energy to start the day unless she has at least two or three pots of the miracle elixir called coffee. One day, without really thinking about it, she casts a spell on her beloved coffee machine. Unaware of this, she goes about her day with her friends.

After a few days, she starts to notice strange sounds coming from the machine. It sounds like... a child's voice?

William is a human that suddenly appears in equestria. He doesn't know what's going on, but somehow the ponies immediately recognize him by his name, and take him to meet the princess.
He didn't do anything yet, and everypony already knows his name, or that's what he thinks.
Situated in the middle of season five.

After a changeling crashes into her castle with summons from King Thorax of the Changelings,
Princess Twilight Sparkle is intrigued to learn of a new species having been discovered deep underground. The species, however, is quite unlike any she's ever met before.

When she goes to investigate them, Twilight finds herself the recipient of initially unwanted snuggling. But perhaps she needs them more than she thinks at first.

This tale is a sequel to If You Would Friend a Tiger. However, it also leans on the lore of its timeline more than most of my stories. I therefore recommend that readers at least be familiar with Cadence of the Crystal Empire, Twilight Sparkle Was Shot, and When All Your Wishes are Granted. The story also refers to A Canterlot Wedding from the television series.

Years ago, she was defeated at a royal wedding by the ponies of Equestria.

Before that, she was both destroyed and brought into being by a young pegasus named Cadence.

And centuries before her birth, the Two Sisters and their precious Elements...

Feh.

Princesses. Bearers of Elements. Nobility, all. And all of them so secure in their pathetic, sadistic victories over her.

Over. And over. And over again.

But this time, things will be different.

This time, behold her greatest plan. Her final ambition. Her most magnificent failure. Victory is irrelevant; her enemies’ deaths are all she requires, broken and in agony.
