There exists in any given location either an inn or bar where the locals meet at the end of a long work day and trade drinks and stories. By the ancient laws of happenstance, the same must be true for areas where the permanent population is exactly one. Now, most would assume it would default to those creatures preferred drinking area in their own house. These people have never been to the only truly lonely place in Equestria. On the border of the unending sea and the badlands there sits an Inn, with a strange bartender. If one comes seeking riches or fame, he will gladly kick you out, stating the only riches here are booze and misery. But if you come for a strong drink and an ear to listen to your problems, then you have found your home.

Rocking the featured box again. Can I get a hoorah? 2/12/19 for those curious.

As per tradition, after Flurry Heart's birth, Twilight's family takes a trip to their ancestral castle in order to introduce her to her great-grandparents. The rest of the girls come along too, eager to see the place. But when they get there; they learn strange rumors concerning the place and their friend's family. The large and foreboding place itself doesn't help either. Throw in a creepy caretaker, dark family secrets and hidden passageways, and soon they find themselves wondering if they truly know their friend as well as they thought they did.

Part of my 'Elements of Equestria' series.

After the Fall Formal, Sunset remains as proud and stubborn as she's always been. But unfortunately for her, the students at CHS aren't going to keep letting her walk all over them. Highjinks ensue, and Sunset finds she'll have to give friendship a try; whether she wants to or not.

Slow burn. Story will be set in three major arcs, then maybe a fourth to tie things up.

This is a re-telling of Sunset's adventure towards redemption. Major canon divergence. SciSet is endgame, with background WallTrix.

This story is inspired by "Long Road To Friendship" by The Albinocorn so there will certainly be some similarities, but I think you'll find that I take it in a different direction

When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade, right? WRONG!
Ok, yeah second chance at life nice, not so nice; I now live with pastel colored ponies. yep, life is just great.
I might have been ok with this, but I wasn't for these reasons.
1: Everyone was a horse!
2: They only ate vegetables!
3: I got a mom, I mean I really didn't need a mom, especially a pastel pony mom!
4: Everyone thought I was sort of a freak! I'm the human, that's normal! They were talking horses with magic, that's messed up!
5: I went from an adult, to a frickin' kid!
But, hey, at least I'm alive right?

Rated Teen just to be safe and because there is mild swearing.

Luna had once visited the dreams of a mare who shouldn’t exist, a thousand years ago. While on the moon, the number of strange dreamers grew to a grand total of 14.

She did not expect to find them in the current day alive and well. Truly the beings which they’d dreamt themselves to be instead of being regular ponies like she had lead herself to believe.

And to think that finding the mare that inspired her guards armor was just the beginning of, of, whatever these series of events should be called. Luna certainly doesn’t know.

I would like to make note here that the Horror, Dark, Death, and Violence tags are there as precautions for now, for the most part. Most if not all of the relevant things associated with these tags will not be mentioned in any great detail however, thus the overall rating. The amount of profanity will vary from character to character.

Guard
noun

  1. a person who keeps watch, especially a soldier or other person assigned to protect a person or to control access to a place.

There is more to a Royal Guard than meets the eye. Capturing crooks, chasing ruffians, fighting monsters, stopping assassinations, and protecting the Princess with all their worth -- with a thousand years of peace time, they have become more and less. But the future is uncertain, and within the horizon, the dark storms are a brewing.

Aiming to become a Royal Guard had never been Twilight's first choice of career -- it certainly was not what Mom and Dad wanted her to be. Still, that didn't stop Twilight Sparkle to pursue that dream. Now that she was one, she had to deal with monsters, cultists, vengeful ghosts, prickly teammates, forgotten childhood friends, and a Sunset Shimmer. Not exactly what she had expected out of her military career in peaceful Equestria, but perhaps it wasn't far off from what she wanted.

Serious thanks to Sunglow for offering proofreading and commentaries.

Anon-a-miss, the mysterious gossiper, plagues CHS. Caught as the perfect scapegoat, Sunset finds herself more shunned than ever before. While determined to clear her name, Sunset decides that first she needs a break. From everything. Back in the place she used to call home.

But as soon as Sunset leaves, her friends at CHS realize the depth of their mistake. Not just in accusing Sunset, but also in forgetting Sunset is not like any other human. As they try with all their might to earn back their friend's trust, they quickly come to learn that they know very little about Sunset and the world she hails from.

And worse for the girls, as Sunset begins to pick up the shards of her old life in Equestria, she begins to wonder whether she really wants to stay at CHS at all.

A long time ago, two sisters ruled over the land: one held dominion over the day, and the other commanded the night. They quarreled, and to solve their dispute, they did something petty. They split the planet in half. They stopped the rotation of the planet—tidally locked it—so that one side would always be night, and the other always day.

Rarity is a member of the Corona Empire's parliament, sworn to do what is best for her country. One day, Queen Celestia summons her for a private talk. She asks Rarity to do something unthinkable, unfathomable, unheard of: deliver a message to the leader of the Nightscape, Queen Luna.
